The announcers are correct I'm afraid. It would make a big difference for the Avs if forsberg was in the lineup. he'd create plays, and draw defenders. But unfortunately for them he's not in the lineup, and they have to play without him. They've shown so far that they're not so good at doing so.

Maybe I missed something. I could care less about the fans hockey lost with the lockout. They weren't real fans in the first place! All I care about is the fact that the wings are taking avs behind the woodshed and kicking their asses old-school style!

I love Dats. He's the greatest. My favorite player without a doubt. And I'm glad he's winning the Lady Byng, because has anyone seen the kid?? The Lady Byng will be the only lady he's gonna get haha! I love the kid to death but I swear to god he's ugly

ehhh... I think I'd rather face Theo. He's a hell of a goalie, but being pulled in Game 1 may have him in a bad spot mentally. If he's off mentally, he'll let in some softies.

I've always maintained that Flip is one of the most underrated players on our squad. He may be a fourth liner, but the guy can really dangle. And as we saw last night, he can shoot the puck too. I've always loved the guy. Glad to see he's getting the recognition he deserves

As all of you know, this is nothing new. Every time the Wings go to the playoffs, the goalies we face all have the series of their entire lives. My hat goes off to Ellis though man. Rookie, fresh, pressure on. And he came to play. He's a hell of a goalie, and the only reason Nashville is still in it. Cuz you know it aint cuz of arnott! haha!

I think Tootoo's mistake was shooting the puck after the whistle in game two when he hit lilja in the leg. He'll probably pay for that one later

I couldn't agree more. I work at an ice rink, and every single one of the guys here has picked detroit to lose in the first round for one of those reasons. But I told em: mark my words boys, even if we don't win the cup, we sure as hell aren't losing in round 1

man that really blows... I've always viewed Kopecky as a very underrated player. He's more valuable to the team than some think. Plus, you gotta feel terrible for the kid. Here we are on the cusp of the playoffs and he's done-skee. that's wicked luck. The Wings will prevail however

If anyone is bored and wants someone to give their tickets to, don't hesitate to let me know I was only able to catch the highlights of the game, but it looked to me like we squeaked it out. We'll definitely need to step it up in the playoffs. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I might be. How about Hank and that sweet goal GO WINGS!

once again, Zetterberg is a constant point machine, Holmstrom is a demon in front, and Hasek is doing well (mostly) in net. All the usual suspects. But did anyone else see the stat about Lidstrom and Rafalski being the league leaders in points as a defensive pairing? Looks like he (rafalski) was a pretty good pick up indeed... Go Wings!

Thank the LORD IN HEAVEN. I was ready for bertuzzi to leave the minute he got here. other than the (very) occasional flash of brilliance, he was a liability the whole season. He was slow, clumsy and useless. and anyone who says that he provided size and strength is sadly mistaken. I could count on one hand the number of big hits I saw him lay out. He was lousy. This is awesome.
