This truly puts losing a hockey game in perspective. My thoughts and prayers are with you, friend.

Oh puhleeze...... Some of you people act like you were out there on the ice for 3 freaking overtimes!!! It's not how any of us wanted the game to end, but damn...we don't always get exactly what we want; when we want it. I can't believe that anyone who has been a Wings fan for longer than a week or two, would trash talk the players who got us this far. The calls were what they were. I found numerous occasions that I disagreed with the call, but that's how it goes. After the first period, we were able to adjust and compensate. Unfortunately it didn't go our way this game. If you are ready to give up on the Wings after tonight, fine...you won't be missed. Some of us will be here to revel in the victories and suck it up and come out fighting in the next game. I don't know what else to say other than, this team is my team. If you don't have the heart to hang with us...it is your loss.

I am so ready to have the puck drop for this game! It has been an emotional roller-coaster since February. I fully expect that both teams will come out ready for the biggest game of the season. I am confident that the Wings will know exactly what they need to do tonight. The Pens know that it is now or never, as far the 2008 SCFs go. I don't think they are going to give it up without a fight. I say it will either be a damn close game or a complete blowout. I'm not going to predict a score, I haven't done it all year...and this isn't the time to cast aside game rituals. I don't have any doubt that the Wings will come out and play to win. With Lidstrom's leadership, Babcock's solid coaching, and a bench filled with talent, I just have a really good feeling about this game. Instead of all the previous thoughts...I guess I could have just stated the obvious... Let's GO Wings!!! I Believe!!!

I have been mulling over this game since its end. I have planned out imaginary lines, scratched players, then put them back in...all in all, I have decided that I am not a coach in the NHL. I think we must stay with our proven leaders. No need to jack things up, in a knee jerk reaction, to a game where we just didn't come out to win. I'm not sure if we were overconfident and simply sitting back on a 3-1 series lead or ill-prepared. We all knew that Dallas was going to come out full speed. It doesn't much matter at this point. The Wings know what they have to do. They just need to do it! I was stunned at the unorganized team that showed up on the ice today. We must get our heads and our hearts into this series. We know how to win hockey games...we just didn't get it done against the Stars in game 5. It will be a challenge to roll into Dallas on Monday and take care of business. All I know, is that I believe in this team! I want to see our Wings play like they want it. Maybe we just needed a "gut check" to let us know that you can never give up. Saturday's game was my "gut check". I hope the team felt as bad as I did when that game was over. Now, on to Monday! Let's GO Wings!!!

And it was Babcock himself that said in the 1st round after a game that the referees are trying their hardest as well to advance as they want to officiate in the SCF. I understand the frustration by him and us as well, but solely blaming the referees is a cop-out excuse. Jeez, don't you think it would have been easier, for everyone involved, if Sutherland just admitted he had a mandatory "reffing 101" class that he had to attend during the SCF's? Let's GO Wings!!!

I didn't expect a suspension and fining is no big deal. I do expect that the Wings will come out tomorrow night and play their game. I don't think there will be any real retaliation. It would be nice as a Wings fan to exact a bit of revenge, but I hope the guys have their eyes on the prize...not just "getting even". I have read so many different takes on this situation, I'm sure that this has already been said, but, we need to roll into Dallas with nothing on our minds but winning the game. We must finish hits and we must use our ability to control the puck. Put that little frozen piece of rubber into the back of Turco's net...repeatedly. That would be the best way to "retaliate". Up 3-0 in the series really would speak for itself. Let's GO Wings!!!

It appeared that DMac was ready to deal with it tonight. I think the "team" approach will make everyone happy. I like seeing cheap shots dealt with "man on man ", if you get my drift. Still, you have to let the players know that you are serious when it comes to retaliatory BS. I know a fine would have no effect....sitting out, even one game, might garner a bit more attention.

QFT ... I have no idea as far as a suspension goes, but I do know that a two handed whack to the goaltender after the game has ended is something that the Wings will take care of in game 3, if the league chooses not to. I kind of like the team treatment, personally.

I am a little tired around the edges! I have to be awake in less than 5 hours. That is, if I ever get to sleep. Seriously, this has been one hell of a game. Best so far of the play-off season.
