Just a heads up, but its Abel to Yzerman. As in Sid and Steve. (Sid Abel to Steve Yzerman) Not trying to be petty, but it makes it sound like someone is "able to (be like) Yzerman" or something.

Ha! I'm totally with you. I'm tempted right now to go back and look up my previous posts before this series even started and quote how I said they Theo has only beat a laughable excuse at offense in Minnesota. All my friends would say how great Theo is playing and I told them he has never been a Stanley Cup caliber goalie, and this year will be exception. I insisted that he faced a Minnesota team with no scoring ability and that he hardly stole any games from Minny in that series. Needless to say, my friends listen to what I have to say regarding hockey much more (considering I've played my whole life should help too..haha)

Yea, I definitely agree with you. Actually I posted almost the exact same thing in the other "Theo starting game 3" related topic that for as horrible as Theo has been against the Red Wings, we have to keep in mind that he hasn't faced a Wings team thats been pushing as hard as what Theo's faced. As I also said in my other post, even though Theo has faced a much hungrier team, Budaj still seems to be playing much more sound positionally and playing his angles much better. Besides, with Theo's 9.44 GAA... Budaj can not be much worse!

Its amazing how so many hockey fans (atleast that i know) hate the game of basketball. its almost like we've grown up watching this fast paced, tough, amazing sport and just can't comprehend what people like about a bunch of guys slowly running up and down a court, crying everytime they get touched where you score over a 100+ points per game. personally, i'll never understand hillbilly america (yes, im american to the fullest, not some canadian or immigrant) that loves the sport of basketball over hockey!

Probably never, no coach is ***'n stupid enough to start a goalie after getting chased in 2 straight games.

Wow... just... WOW! I have no problem with confidence in our team. I'm very confident in the Wings. They have the ABILITY to win the Cup. But for all we know Ozzie could take a dump and lose every game from now on. Anythings possible, just remember. To a certain extent, I'm with you though. As I've said in my previous posts.. s***, I'd much rather have him coaching some s*** hockey team like the Kings than have to listen to his dumb-ass analysis on ESPN. I really wish that ESPN would take back hockey and make it in to a more popular sport here in the States (and yes, ESPN does kind of have that ability) but first thing that would need to be done is to get rid of Melrose. I like the guy he does the segment with, but god is Melrose stupid.

I don't know if any of you guys have actually watched the first two games of the series but for the most part, San Jose has been dominant against the Stars. Which is why when everyone says "we play similar styles of the game, but we do it better" it kinda makes ya think... San Jose has dominated most of the play, yet Dallas capitalizes on their chances and has beaten them for the 2-0 series lead. Hell, even last night, that was NOT a 5-2 games. Nabokov looked horrible and Dallas just showed how they have some snipers on their team. While I would much rather play Dallas for the simple facts that 1. I hate Wilson, and I'm so sick of the media swinging from San Jose's you know what, that I'd love for them to flop in the playoffs again 2. We play a very similar style of game as Dallas. The one thing that scares me, and it proved it last year, was having to play big bodied teams who love to throw the body around. It wore us out last year and we didn't have the gas to finish. 3. We've had Dallas' number in the past. HOWEVER, number 3 is just like every other stupid stat. Its totally irrelevant now that we're in the playoffs. Just like if we take a 3-0 series lead... yea, the past has proven hardly any team will come back from that, but it doesnt mean it wont happen. We might have had Dallas' number and made Turco look stupid, but IF we play them it won't be the same team we've faced in the past. Dallas looks great, and while they've mostly been outplayed by San Jose, they have a lot of scoring threats, plus Turco's been outstanding. It would be an absolute amazing series I can guarantee you of that. Here's to a Wings/Pens Stanley Cup Finals!

I will happily cheer on the Tigers (especially against my Yankee loving boss) and of course the Wings get 100% of my attention, but I refuse to root for the Pistons. I absolutely despise basketball. If the Stones win, cool! But if they don't I really could care less. Its kind of obvious what my 2 favorite sports are considering these are the only 2 bracelets I ever wear... p.s. this is not a shameless plug, just think these are the greatest bracelets ever!

Haha, my playoff beard? I am the Chris Osgood of this forum. At 25 years of age, I still look like I'm in high school. The whole babyface thing is preventing me from having a successful playoff beard. That and my job won't let me grow it out cause it looks so horrible. But, since I can't grow it out, I make sure not to shave with a razor. I have some stubble and thats as close as I'll get to a playoff beard.

yea, and if we would've capitalized on our other 10 great scoring chances you wouldn't have stood a chance. you really can't use the 'should've, would've and could've's. the game turned out how it turned out, we're not here to argue "if someone would've scored the game would've went to overtime or this game would've been a blow out".

yea, theyre saying theo is sick. he actually left the arena shortly after being pulled. i agree he's overrated, but it definitely looked like something was wrong with him. especially on franzen's second goal. a blast, none the less, but not a goal that should've been given up. lets hope theo stays sick, forskin and wolski stay hurt! also, im agreeing with everyone on datsyuk's play. he's becoming one of the most dominate players (while still staying so underrated) in the league. i need a datsyuk jersey! (always contemplated on getting one but never knew to get Dats or Z. as much as i still love Z, Dats is definitely becoming my favorite player. while im obviously no where near as good, i play his style of hockey)

Haha, thats funny! This time of year me and my boss go at it cause he hates how the Wings kill business for us in the playoffs. Granted it used to be much much worse, when there's a Wings playoff game on, almost everyones in the bars. He always is rooting for the Wings to lose so our business will pick back up. He even tries to turn me against them, saying that less business for us is obviously less money for me... But I'd gladly take a pay cut every year and have the Wings advance deep into the playoffs.

As much as I wanna play the Avs for numerous reasons, GOD do I want the Sharks to choke! I'm so sick of the media making this team out to be unbeatable, only to have them f*** it all up. There was a point where I like the Sharks, but I dont anymore. Don't like Wilson too much either. GO FLAMES (i guess)
