Yea, you can buy them from 7-11, Walgreens, etc. Where ever they're sold for $2.99 a piece. Picked one up yesterday while I was at 7-11. Figured I'd get the Red Wings one (team logo on front and back) just to see how it was, and if I wanted to invest any more money on this stuff... So I buy it, get it back home and check it out. MAN are these things cheap! Little $3 plastic pieces. Egh, If they were of nicer quality I would drop the money for the whole set (its around $73ish I think for the whole set if you pay it straight up). But I'm good with my one piece of plastic. Maybe if I go back and feel like it I'll pick up the Hank and Dats one. Those are probably the only 3 I'd get tho.

If you really think Sammy played good you are clearly blinded. I'm not saying he is pathetic or needs to be traded. I'm not saying I hate him or he completely sucks at the game of hockey. BUT, he played horrid. No other way around it.

Not too sure I agree. Although the Flames are definitely inconsistent it would be a much tougher series. And while I can only laugh at the people who still say Detroit is a far from physical team, I would rather see our puck moving skills utilized against the Avs. Besides, I don't see what the hype is over their goalie. The media kinda makes him seem like this proven contender when he merely beat a Minnesota team that has no offensive depth. Not to mention Kipper scares the crap outta me sometimes, and we all know how the Wings can make a good goaltender seem much better. I guess when it REALLY comes down to it, I say bring on the Avs or Flames. Now that we've gotten past the first round I think the Wings are gonna be much more relaxed come next series and step up their game.

Go against the grain all you want. He's BRUTAL. I do NOT... repeat DO NOT bash any Wings ever just cause they have a bad game or bad shift, but this is RIDICULOUS!!! He's blown scoring chances, made bad giveaways... He needs to sit the rest of the game. p.s. I just gotta add how much I hate NBC commentators. Im SO glad I can watch the game on CBC.

Yea, glad someone noticed that too. They had... what?... some lousy 20-30 shots? He let in one single goal and the Hasek lover says "well, he played just okay, but not good enough to win a championship". WHAT? He wasnt even tested? If he's not even tested with great scoring chances how on EARTH can you say whether or not he played well enough to win a championship. Thats like a quarterback throwing one pass at the start of the game and just barely missing the receiver. Then he gets hurt the next play and doesnt play the rest of the game and someone saying "well, he played okay, but not good enough to win a chamionship". Like... WHAT? are you really serious? Stupid hockey fans, I swear! Ozzie played solid. Granted our defense was in 'shut down' mode and didn't give Nashville ANY opportunities save for the tying goal that not one goalie in the league could've stopped. And to be honest, (and I don't bash any Wings EVER) he saved a few shots that probably would've gotten past Dom. So I really don't know how you can complain about Ozzie's play. As for the guy who said keep Ozzie in and then go back to Dom after this series... You, also, must be kidding, right??? Dom looks DONE! Not A bad game, but bad gameS! He looks old, tired, wore out. In comes Ozzie, he plays solid and take us (hopefully) to the next round.. why on EARTH would you sit him? Please, sir, don't EVER become a hockey coach

No, I'm sorry, thats definitely not what I meant. I meant that I'm sure he'll be happy if Holland doesnt resign Hasek but then even if thats the case he'll still have something to be negative about with Holland. I definitely mistyped what I meant, but I'm just getting tired of all these negative fans with zero knowledge for the game of hockey. I'm sure you could tell by the rest of my post that I was far from assuming anything of our future players. (except Howard, but thats personal opinion that I don't think he'll be our next great goalie).

And you know what it is? Majority of these people (like LeftWinger) have either never played any type of competitive hockey in their life or played 'house' hockey and never fully understood the game. The defending Stanley Cup champions are down in the series 3-1. We are freaking TIED! The funny thing is people like LeftWinger think we should've already been eliminated except for a couple lucky bounces, yet they don't understand that a couple lucky bounces our way and Nashville would be hitting the tee's. The thing that REALLY bugs me about it, is LeftWinger is just like the majority of Wings fans. Typical, stupid, negative fans who, because the Wings lose a couple games thinks that the series is over and we're done. Everyone wants to win a Cup, yet what they don't realize is that in order to do that the team needs to go through some kind of adversity. And if thats what we're going through right now then so be it. But hey, who am I? Maybe I should take a page out of LeftWinger's book. After all, the Wings are such a horrid team. And what exactly has Holland done for us? Ever? Why not fire him! And Babcock too. Hell, lets just rebuild the team from scratch and not make the playoffs for some years to come. Than MAYBE some of these nonsense fans would actually be appreciative of our Wings. Here's an idea LeftWinger, instead of being your typical negative self, why don't you try SUPPORTING the team and staying positive. It's one thing to have doubts, everyone does. We can't win the Cup every year now, can we? But its a total different story to count them out of the playoffs. Sad thing is you actually have some valid points. The Wings need to get a little bit more physical while staying so skilled. Personally I really think that some northern american kids would do us good. Also I agree that sticking with Hasek was a bad idea. I'm not one of these fans who roots for someone when they're playing good and gets on their back when they're playing horrible. I never liked the idea of Hasek coming back. Yet you wanna give Howard a chance? Sorry, but I have a strong feeling that Howard is NOT our Carey Price or Ryan Miller and I'm pretty sure the Wings organization is realizing this. He'll get his chance next year, him and Ozzie will be our goalie. I'm sure you'll be happy cause Holland won't resign Hasek. But I'm sure after that you'll still have something about Holland to rag about.

Not too call ya guys out but it happened both ways in the game. Seemed like the ref was liking the spotlight a little too much. It seemed almost every draw someone would get tossed. I'll agree, it mostly happened to the Wings, but it happened plenty to Nashville too. Everyone in the bar was screaming for them to just "DROP THE F'N PUCK!"

I've said it once, I'll say it again... SOMEONE with some hockey smarts... Yes, he played horrid in the first couple periods. In the 3rd, he totally stepped it up and played great hockey. Maybe if the rest of the team had the same heart as him... As far as I'm concerned right now, you keep Dats, Z and Homer... trade everyone for some northern american boys! (ok maybe i'm over reacting! lol)

Finally someone with some actual hockey smarts around here. I'm so sick of people pointing the finger for one single TEAM loss. We lost game 3, not game 7. We're not gonna sweep every team we play. Next game is huge and the Wings know this! Screw the blaming... Give the Wings the credit they deserve and SUPPORT your team! LETS GO WINGS!

I find it funny that all year long all the Wings fan complain and say "ohhh, the league hates us, the media hates us, bettman wants us to lose".. blah blah blah. But so far, last game they had that questionable non-call that could've gone either way (please don't get into an argument about this anyone, I'm simply stating it could've gone either way). This game they have another questionable non-call on a goal that could've counted. Again with Holmstrom in the blue when Lidstrom (right?) scored. I just think the calls have DEFINITELY gone our way and it seems to me like the league doesnt want Nashville here (which they shouldn't.. its a horrible hockey market). Personally, I really don't think there's any kind of conspiracy going on where Bettman demands certain teams to lose, but if there is, he's definitely trying to get rid of Nashville. I do love what Babcock just said in his press conference though. He basically said "well, there was a call where a Predator shot it in from their own end of the red line but it wasnt an icing. You can sit there and pick apart the whole game if you want to but its really pointless. You just gotta keep plugging along". Which is true. Trotz can complain and whine till he's blue in the face but in the end we've beat them 3-1 and 4-2 while outshooting them by a large margin. Personally though, the Wings really need to learn to play with some intensity. Basically how Holmstrom plays. The way they're playing they could get thru this round but playing a better team, they dont have enough intensity to hold up. All stupid cliché's aside, I truely thought we would sweep these guys. Regardless of how tight they've played us all year. We still have a chance of that but going back into Nashville the Wings are gonna need to turn the tempo up cause you know Nashville is. P.S. Anyone else notice how the commentators on NBC didnt mention what the Wings were doing right, it was what Nashville wasn't doing. Or what the Wings did do right, it was Nashville not doing things right. It seemed to me like all they did was talk about Nashville. Maybe I'm just used to Mick and Ken (along with John Keating and Murph) but god do I hate the NBC guys! edit: Title should say "can't say the wings ARENT wanted"

I never said anything how their physical play. I was talking more about passion! They've played great physically and anyone who says the Wings are still a soft team obviously don't watch the games. I just think they need to turn up the desire and passion. And yes, I agree, it is still possible for the Wings to come out looking good. I just hope something lights a spark under their asses and they kick it into 4th gear and start dominating some games the way they SHOULD dominate games (granted, I know, its playoffs and that doesn't happen often, but I hope you get my drift).

Ok, so I have a GREAT idea I've thought off... Unfortunately I'm horrible at Photoshop (and gimp, etc.) so I figured I'd leave this one up to some REAL pro's at Photoshop. So.... There's a new movie coming out called "Street Kings". Someone needs to find the movie poster for it. Now, on the movie poster: There's a picture of Keanu Reeves holding a gun like he's about to shoot. 'Shop Lids, Z or Dats in his place taking a slap shot. On the bottom of the poster is the slogan (or whatever you wanna call it) that says "Their city. Their rules. No prisoners." Change that to say "Their rink. Their rules. No Predators."... And below that put something along the lines of "Their not the soft team they used to be!" Great idea! Someone get to work. Thanks guys!

As for Avalanche Warning.. or whatever your long ass name is... cool, its been happening to Forsberg for 10 years. Does that make some enforcer right for going after a skilled (non-fighting) star player? Hell no! If anyone see's this video and thinks Lappy is a complete coward and joke of a player for going after Gaborik it SHOULD be you! Especially after witnessing so many players do it to Forsberg. Reverse the situation and you'd be crying about how pathetic the player was for going after Foppa. GAURANTEED!

I totally agree with you man. Its like no matter who our opponent looks to be everyone is scared. When you play hockey growing up you are taught to RESPECT your opponent but do not be scared or take them lightely. Nashville might play us strong, and yes, Ellis is played great hockey. But I have no doubt in my mind that our boys will come to play they hockey that they can play and take this series. In either 4 or 5. And please dont give me that karma crap!

Wouldn't it be more likely for Calgary to take the 3rd seed? If Calgary wins their next game and both Dallas and Minnesota lose than they (Calgary) would take over the Northwest. Positions 3,5 and 6 are all within a point. Personally though, I'd like the playoffs to start as they are now. That way hopefully the 2nd round would be Detroit against Calgary (I think they can beat Minny in a 7 game series, plus I think we could handly Calgary even though theyre a tough team) and have San Jose and Anaheim in the other series and just let them beat the crap out of each other. Hell, now that I think about it have Calgary as the 5th seed wouldnt be bad either. That way we could hopefully play Dallas in the 2nd round and still have it be the Shark & the Jacka$$es in the 2nd. Too many possibilities to think about right now. I'm too tired! lol.

I just don't agree with that. You're insinuating that you think there should be ties in the NHL and there really shouldn't. No matter what they do the tie needs to die! If you wanna get rid of the shootout then do a 5 minute period of 4 on 4 and then after do 3 on 3 overtime until someone scores. Might only be worth a point, but god do I hate ties. *I'm not saying I would necessarily like to see a 3X3 overtime but it was just a thought they mentioned during the all-stars skills game*

Man, I was really liking watching Stuart play here in Detroit too. He bring a physical presence that we need and I really think he could be a great defenseman in our system. Thank god he'll be back in tme for the playoffs though. It could be much much worse people, he could've been out for the rest of the playoffs too! I'll be very very happy if he returns in time for the playoffs (or a couple games in, either/or). Get well Stuart! We NEED YA!
