you dont gotta worry about the NBA going to Vegas. Thats not happening anytime soon. not to get off subject here, but i dont know if any of you have known this, since it was not in the media AT ALL... but, my brother takes many frequent trips to Vegas, one of which was just days after the NBA's All-Star game. he goes to the bar to get a drink and instead of giving him the bottle they put it in a plastic cup (dont know if you've been to Vegas but they just give you the bottle, you can carry it around where-ever) so my brother asks why he cant have the bottle? the bartender proceeds to tell them (brother and his wife) that after the All-Star game a bunch of... shall i say... african americans start mini-rioting around The Strip. Many people ended up in the hospital because of it, fires were started, cars vandalized, etc. A number of professional basketball players were even seen getting in on the action! Funny enough the media, ESPN in particular, did not cover ONE SECOND of it. For some reason I would think if it were the NHL this happened with ESPN would be all over it saying hockeys physical play and fighting led to it. anyways, point being... Las Vegas (both mayor and hotel/casino owners) have said that they want nothing more to do with the NBA, will do nothing to get a team in the city nor will host anything remotely NBA related. How do I feel about the NHL expanding to Sin City? A part of me thinks it'll be a great idea, everyone loves Vegas and to have a hockey team there, the sport might gain popularity and respect just for that fact. However do I think it could be a total flop only to make the NHL look worse? maybe, but I dont think it could get much worse than it already is. I just wish it the sport could catch on in the U.S. as it has here in Michigan!

ummm... youre KINDA contradicting yourself there buddy. first off you say Fedorov, in his prime, was the best. then below that, you say Fedorov would be number 2 in ALL TIME Euro players. You're right, when Fedorov was in his prime he was untouchable, however he peaked too quickly and because of his "pompus attitude" (which you criticized Jagr for the same) he threw away a Hall of Fame career to go try and be a leader on some crappy team only to be plaggued by injuries (which I'm sorry but its the Chaos Theory/Butterfly Effect, if he doesnt leave he PROBABLY doesnt get injured and to this day could be working towards a hall of fame career) now if you want to say the "top 5 European players IN THEIR PRIME/WHEN THEY PEAKED, you'd rate as follows" but when ya do that theres just WAY too much skepticizm and WAY too much room for debate for it to be logical again the only way to truely validate any of this is PROBABLY best solved thru trophies/achievments which I'm sorry but I have a really hard time believing that Fedorov has more than Hasek, you're putting WAY too much personal bias into this discussion.

truer words have NEVER been spoken. personally, as much as i love z and pavs, i wanna see a NORTH AMERICAN superstar on our team!!! i wanna see a sidney crosby, someone i can relate to as a person and better yet, can speak my language. and its not simply just that, Loud is absolutely right and hit the nail on the head. no better way to put it man!

not to go completely off topic but c'mon... Lang is horrible. No hustle, constantly turning over pucks. So he had a couple huge goals for us, still we didnt win a cup so no matter what its a dissapointment. In NO WAY was Lang a loss. Calder didnt do much for us, we brought him in for his grit, and he showed none eventually getting benched in the playoffs. Bertuzzi would've been nice to sign for a one year contract just to see if he could prove himself. Him leaving was a dissapointment to me. Schneider leaving was quickly followed by a sigh of relief by the signing of a younger player in Rafalski. Im completely happy here. As for Markov, another player we would miss but not a player that will make or break this Wings team. anyways back on topic: I'm truely dissapointed to see this Buffalo team get dismantled like it is. Even tho I obviously routed for the Wings to win the Cup if they came up short I really wanted the Sabres to win it. Especially over a stupid Western Conference team or a Canadian team. While I truely have faith that the Wings can make up for their losses, I just dont think that the Sabres can do the same. Then again we have Kenny Holland... so thats probably why.

WCF Game 4 GDT (5/17): Red Wings @ Ducks - 9 PM ET

Hasek is DEFINITELY not the only one to blame but this was by FAR his worst game of the playoffs. If he keeps up this horrible play atleast we'll only have to see it for 2 more games. I definitely got a lot of confidence in Hasek tho, so i'm far from worried about it. We just NEED to take game 5 or we're out of it! -

ummm... we run all 4 lines, they dont. Hence the further this series goes, the stronger we will be. this game is FAR from the deciding factore in the series. You must not be THAT much of a hockey fan if you believe that. -

im sorry but both the d AND Hasek are to blame for 2 of their goals now. This should still be a 1-1 game, if not a 2-1 game at BEST. Teemu's goal was HORRID! The Ducks arent even out-playing us. Dom just needs to settle down, take the whistle instead of ALWASY trying to play the puck and not let any other goals in. As for Detroit, its not like this isnt familiar territory. We've been in this situation more games than not. Even I'll admit, I'm sweating right now, HATING that we're down by 2, but do NOT say this game is over. -
first are foremost... for the guy who said he expects the Ducks to "manhandle" the Wings tonight and make a display like Wings did against the Ducks. Sorry! But its just not gonna happen. Us fans might be overconfident and cocky, but we havent been this deep into the playoffs since '02 and this team is proving it CAN win the cup. We are a perfectly built (not saying we're a PERFECT TEAM) based upon youth with amazing talent and experienced veterans who aren't just gonna fall apart and let a blow out happen. Not one time have we been straight up blown out in ANY game this post-season. Neither has Buffalo or Ottawa. Technically neither did the Ducks until the other night. Even when we were in the same position as the Ducks, going down 2 or 3 to nothing, we kept our composure and fought back into the game. As for the Red Wings being over confident and cocky like us fans, sorry, but they are professional athletes, most of whom have been in the playoffs more times than needed to realize they are in no place to be cocky or over confident until the buzzer goes off and we have won the Cup. What do I expect out of the Ducks tonight? A strong game, mostly based on the fact that they dont wanna hear that a loss was based on the fact that Pronger wasnt playing. The Ducks known they can win without Pronger and they WILL step up their game to prove so. What do I expect out of the Wings tonight? The Wings are in a position to take a stronghold on the Ducks and they realize if they lose this chance it could result in a total momentum change that they dont wanna see, especially with the Ducks #1 d-man out for the game they'll look to take advantage. After going up 2-0 on the Flames and having them come back at home to tie the series at 2 they realize they cannot afford to do this against a team like the Ducks. I see another strong game from the Wings, and another dominant performance from Hasek.
