    Another reason why this organization...

I read the article, thanks for the link. Just another reason why the Detroit Red Wings are so unbelievably great.

There is a bunch of good websites dedicated to the internet neutrality cause here in Canada. If you're a Canadian resident I suggest signing the petition located at neutrality.ca In other words, WHO CARES!? All I want is to watch Red Wings games. Judge me if you will, Bettman, judge me!

More likely, Dear NHL, I live in Canada. We have two very important documents, one is called the Canadian Bill of Rights and the other is the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Blacking out NHL content on my television and forcing me to watch fifteen different channels featuring nothing but the Toronto Maple Leafs is a violation of the those two documents and is therefore in violation of this great nation's constitution. You see, Mr. Bettman, forcing the Toronto Maple Leafs onto people 24/7 is considered cruel and unusual punishment and as a Canadian citizen, I'm protected from such grotesque treatment. You can put me down for that, I'm on a constant search to compile as many link possibilities in case of emergencies. Good move on keeping the link on the down low. Thanks.

Here's a trick for you comrade, double click on the small screen and it will get bigger with a toolbar at the top and one at the bottom, then move your mouse off of the toolbars (if they're touching) and to the side of the screen if it in your way and don't move it. It should auotmatically fullscreen. That works sometimes.

In most cases there will be a stream available online somewhere. You may require two (small, free to download, virus/spyware free) programs to watch the games. A lot of the times the streams won't be as high of quality as what was available on atdhe but is definately watchable in full screen format (I usually sit 5-6ft away from the computer anyways). Being in the same boat as you (London, Ontario is part of Leafs Nation according to Rogers/TSN/CBC), I can definately sympathize with you. If I am able to find a stream I can PM it to you. I don't want to publish the link on here because the Bettman-SS will have them meet the same fate as atdhe. The two programs required in some cases are: Sopcast and VLC Player Then again, sometimes it'll just stream to your browser without the need for these programs. WingsallTheway provided some excellent sites above me.

Which team do you NOT want to face in the first round?

I say "BRING'EM ON!" That said, I voted Vancouver on the poll. Luckily for us they ditched that wall they call Cloutier and picked up some nobody named Luongo...

Circa 1970's Pornstaches and Octopi - must be playoff season in Detroit!

    Perfect Enforcer for Wings!

I'm currently watching the Bruins/Ducks game and Parros and Thornton just got into the fisticuffs. I couldn't help but watch in awe as Parros' 'stache fought bravely and refused to backdown. His 'stache is exactly what we need - grit, toughness. and dogged determination. Now, this is my call to Kenny to try to pick up Parros' Moustache before the deadline, perhaps for future considerations? A bag of used pucks? Darren McCarty?

Dandenault askes to be traded out of Montreal

I liked Dandenault as well. Anyone know what his beef in Montreal is?

    Perfect Enforcer for Wings!

I truly believe that the Wings can easily fit Parros' moustache under the salary cap and thus afford to sign it long-term. It's just a move that makes sense.

    Pronger?

If the Wings EVER allowed Pronger anywhere near the Red Wings organization without him being an opponent, I would: 1.) Purchase a Red Wings Pronger jersey. 2.) Pour Worcestshire sauce on it. 3.) Cut it up into small, easily chewed pieces. 4.) Eat it. 5.) Wait with patience as it passes through my digestive system. 6.) And finally, deposit it in the toilet where Pronger belongs.

    Who do you hate irrationally?

My Irrational Hatred List Team = New York Rangers Commonly used moniker = Leafs Nation Player = Sidney Crosby Former Player = Mark Messier GM = Brian Burke Commonly used "insult" = Dead Wings (That's not really irrational)

Conklin should start the Winter Classic

I really don't care who starts. Neither of them have impressed me thus far this season. Although I've always been an Ozzie fan I have to admit that Conks would have a way cooler Winter Classic mask. Regardless of who starts I'll be doing the same thing - gettin' drunk and eatin' chicken fingers! :goalie1: OR :goalie2: = :beerbuddy:

    new month = new captain

I prefer having one captain, it allows for some consistency when the going gets tough. I can see the advantages of having a rotating captaincy but they just don't stack up to someone who may be the "heart and soul" of a team. The 'C' should be earned, not because of a month of solid play but because of a career of solid play.

    Why are we worrying?

I'm not worried. The team will get it together. I think Conklin coming in will aid in lighting the proverbial fire under Osgood's arse. As well, having the goalie switch will let the players know to pick up the slack. As for the defense, Lids is the King of D and I will leave it in his hands confidentely. Perhaps I should ask myself, "Why am I not worrying?" Slainte, TheBigRedMachine

    The Online Game Streaming Thread

motherpucker.ca will have a live stream. I use firefox, and make sure you have flash player/java - both are free. Sometimes, not very often, you will just get a white screen when you try to load it up, reload the page and it should work. (White screen has only happened to me once.) Slainte mate, Go Wings!!! :beerbuddy:

Does everyone want Bert to re-sign?

I hope Bertuzzi decides to re-sign with the Red Wings. I think if he gets back up to 100% in the off season he'll be the little extra "umph" that the Wings needed, even if he doesn't return to his Canucks glory days. But I suppose it all depends on how much he and his agent believe he's worth.

    Shots and Lots of Them!

This is an excerpt from John Kreiser's article on NHL.com: "Ready, Aim, Fire -- If the Red Wings don't win the Stanley Cup, it won't be because they don't shoot the puck. Through 10 playoff games, the Wings have outshot their opponents by a staggering 400-220. They've outshot their opposition in every game, had more than 45 shots four times and limited their opponents to 21 or fewer shots six times in the 10 games. Detroit has limited San Jose to two goals in each of the first four games of their series, including both contests at HP Pavilion, where the Wings finally figured out how to kill penalties. San Jose was 1-for-10 on the power play at home in Games 3 and 4 -- a huge change from the regular season, when the Sharks were 11-for-22 in Detroit's two visits." All I can say is keep on shooting. Nobokov can't stop'em all! Here is the link to the article in it's entirety: John Kreiser's Article

    Pre-GAME 4 (5/2): Red Wings @ Sharks - 10 PM ET

I have only one prediction, the Big Red Machine will roll right over anything wearing teal. Why? Because teal is one of the most obnoxious colours visible to the naked eye! Wings win it tonight. Homer helps ALOT. This will be a very late night and early morning for me as I get up for work at 4am and the game will last to at least 1am. Oh well, GO WINGS GO!
