i was going to ask the same question. i think rest is going to be a big factor in this, even a couple days rest can do wonders for the legs, and if the wings keep it up i can see 6-7 games for us, which would only give us a couple days rest compared to a 10 day break. though it could also go in our favor if they get rusty.

I don't pay attention much to the whole offseason crap and politics, all i know is that we need a nice offensive core behind brett in order to get anything done, especially losing henderson and green. Favre can't command points to the scoreboard by himself, he needs talent around him to get open so he can thread the needle like only he can to make the big play. i happened to watch the first round of the draft and laughed out loud when the packer fans boo'ed the management with the pickup of some O'line or D'line schmo. I love the packers night and day, but they need to turn it around to get them out of this .500 slump...

game pretty much over...

cmon guys...i'd be happy with one goal in the next 3 mins....2 would be nice
-
you say tomato i say to-mah-toe i agree...i guess, not my fault that the penalized player didnt get back into play fast enough
-
correct me if i'm wrong but not too long afterwords we tied 'er up at 2-2 with a couple air-mail packages, then sealed the deal with the whole D-day thing
-
looking at the bigger picture, yeah we let in a few PP goals... however their PP still stinks 2 for 38 i think over the whole playoffs so i wouldnt worry about that all too much, i think we need to worry more about the mental part of making smart plays/passes/and not taking penalties etc... and i agree with the pronger comment, one guy leaving a game shouldnt make a lot of difference (re: schneider and or kronwall) they remedied the loss of pronger quite well (meaning their forwards are actually doing their job...)

craaaaaaaaaap, 4-3 ducks PP goal @ 5:35 ish of the 3rd

i'm sorry, but 'florida' and 'ice' shouldnt be in the same sentence much less about hockey either. though i'm a biased wisconsinite that wants a pro team there...but that's a topic for a different thread

here's to a good game, the wings know what they need to do. 60mins of good clean hard hittin hockey. keep the SOG up and the puck will find its way behind JS Sieve. i don't like making score predictions but if the wings play the hockey that only they know how, they won't have a problem grabbin the W tonight.

Problem with green bay though is the lack of hockey programs. A friend of mine had to travel to Negaunee, Mi just to play in a tournament. That changes of course the closer you get to the twin cities, coverage of the Wild etc... Wisconsin is a football state, not enough pull for hockey
