I like that he didn't name names. I hate it when coaches trash a single player or two to the media. It's a team sport. I think most definitely the Sharks will come out flying in game 5. The unnamed players will for sure have something to prove. The Wings have to be ready for it. Go Wings!

If Babs is reminding folks of Bowman, that's definitely a good thing. MacLean was coach of our minor league team for a couple years. He was a great coach and very nice man on top of it. That's the way he was here too, all business. He say things like "They can celebrate this one tonight and then it's back to work. We haven't won anything yet."

Ya know, when I read stuff like this I get even more pissed off that I have to listen to most of the games instead of watch. Here's to Filpulla.

I don't even really remember how I picked the Wings. One thing's for sure, we IL fans never get to cheer for the Blackhawks in the playoffs, so maybe I wanted a team with a good chance of making it every year. The Blackhawks games are about the only ones shown regularly by the cable company around here, but Chicago blacks out all the home games, even 3 hours away from Chicago where I am, so it makes it kind of hard to follow them anyway. I'd rather just listen to the Wings. I was a Hasek fan years before I was a Wings fan, so when the two joined together the first time around is when I really started following the Wings. Plus around here most everyone has two favorite teams. 1) Their favorite (usually NOT the Blackhawks) and 2) Who ever is playing the Wings. So cheering for the Wings satisfies my need to argue from time to time.

I'd love to see him on a team with crap defense for a season. Just one season.

Dang I hate Wings fans. Lose a game, and it's fire the coach, our goalie sucks, and on and on. Psstt, all you fairweather fans, you don't win every game, you don't win every playoff series, and you don't win the Stanley Cup every year! Not that I'm counting the Wings out. I'm by no means doing that. I'm just saying . . . Attitudes like that are why nobody likes the Red Wings except Red Wings fans.

OT is the ONLY way to decide a playoff game. I don't even like shootouts in the regular season, but no way in h-e-double hockey sticks should a shootout be seen in playoff hockey.
