    Congratulations

Congrats on a good, tough, clean series. It sucks to lose, but it is easier when the other team is clean and the fans show class. The Wings fans who came to my home boards, were awesome, as were the majority of posters here. I'll gladly pull for your team for the duration. The Wings showed thir expereince, skill and desire and clearly the better team won. You'll need it against the Ducks, who probably won't play a very clean game like Detroit or SJ. Best of luck!

    POST GAME - Game 1 (4/26) SJ 2 DET 0

Whew! I can't believe we got away with that. 1/2 a period of good hockey followed by 2 1/2 periods of trying to shut down the game is not going to work against you guys. We stole this one tonight, I just hope that our boys come out more aggresively on Saturday although I'll be shocked it we take two in a row at JLA. I was really impressed with Detroit's skill level, they can play some very pretty hockey and I was surprised at your team speed. I honestly didn't realize how fast your team is. As a Sharks fan I thought the game was nerve-wracking, but as a hockey fan I agree that it was pretty boring. I suspect that will change soon enough. I was pleased though that it was a pretty clean game, and I thought the reffing was decent. Good luck on Saturday, but I don't think you'll need it. I expect the Wings will come out fired up and rolling. Oh, and sorry about the trolls. They're kind of like that crazy, drunk uncle we all have. It's best to just ignore them.
  3. To be honest, the injuries that you're boys have is encouraging, but I don't think it will hurt the Wings too much. They are one of the few teams that can roll four lines and that kind of depth makes up for a lot of injuries, and guys like Lidstrom and Chelios may be old, but they are serious work horses.

Welcome to LGW, San Jose Sharks fans

You guys have sent a bunch of nice posters to thefeeder.com so I had to come over and spread the post count out a bit. I anticipate a great, and long, series. Watching the Wings/Flames series, I was impressed to see your depth. I didn't realize you could roll four lines like that. I loved watching Cleary clean Phanuef's clock. Both goalies are playing well, both teams are tough (survived a 1st round against some nasty goonery) but skilled. The Wings have an edge in the D department with all that experience, but that could possibly bite both ways and the Sharks' youngsters are pretty good. The Sharks edge is probably the size of their forwards. No real clear superiority either way, but we should see some good hockey. Good luck and Game On!
