Just how you'll be bashing holland when Igor doesn't score 20 goals his first season (even though i think he will) then during his second or third season is an up and coming "datsyuk" like talent

I haven't read any of the responses yet so I'm sorry if its already been said, but a large part of this is a good thing. Yeah its not great that their aren't millions of people jumping at the tickets but if we can improve the marketing of the red wings and can attrack some new fans that is great news. If this ad campaign works the way it is working for the Tigers than you can't complain. Just by hearing the radio ads for wings tickets or billboards or flyers or mailouts or coupons IT DOESN'T matter.. its putting the wings in the mainstream media and allowing them to have a little more exposure to the public than they are use to, I mean all I ever hear about is Lions and Tigers OH MY!!

Thats probably the best I've seen, great song choice as well. My only complaint and this goes for all hockey videos on youtube.. because the quality isn't the best its really hard to see the puck so you have to zoom in a lot of those goals to really see how badass they are

Actually I think it would.. the only reason I say that is because if that ever happend ticket prices would be cut in half and then even I could afford to go to the games. Also, there are no bandwagon wings fans or hockey fans for that matter because hockey fans can't just fall back onto the hype and publicity that every other sport gets

It doesn't prove anything I guess, but it shows that the Tigers and Pistons fanbase is for the most part bandwagoners that could care less if the team does well just as long as they look cool supporting them.. the Lions would be the exception to that since they've always had a strong following regardless of how bad they are.. So if your fanbase doesn't really care wheter the teams wins or looses it makes them less important

I'll agree with most everyone here that hockey is the least popular sport in michigan along with the most publicized, but the question is which team matters most and IMO the team that matters most to the state of Michigan is the Wings I mean, we have tolerated the lions losing every year and until last year the tigers were bums and no one really gave a s***.. and well the Pistons, lets be honest, its the biggest bandwagon team of all time, suddenly everyone loves bball and girls can't wait to buy their miniture jerseys and get dolled up, but do they really care if they loose? No. If the wings suddenly didn't make the playoffs for the first time in 16 years I think you would find out just how much people care about them... it would be headline news.

I don't want the winner of a 60 game tournament in europe to play THE best NHL team (Red Wings)!!! I want the Wings to be apart of an international tournament of the best hockey clubs in the world. I'm thinking the UEFA Champions League of hockey .... no one has probably ever heard of it "the most prestigious club trophy in the sport"

I actually have a lot of confidence in Rafalski to put up some numbers this coming season. I mean he has spent his entire 7 yr career on a team that doesn't know what the term, "puck possesion" means.. he has the hands (not just a big shot) to score goals and will get plenty of chances to do so on a Red Wings team that literally has talent all around him Go Wings
