Does anyone mind telling an ignorant Californian how he became known as the Pain Train? I mean, it's not even phonetic. If anything, it should have been somethink like Lilja The Billiard Table, you know, with an NY accent and a little creativity.

Wow, that was really good! I think I'll try There were but nigh 33 seconds left The throngs were a shouting their praise But like the wax wings of Icarus, My hopes flew too high Only to be destroyed and plummet back to earth. Not very Shakespeare, but you get the point. I was devastated.

I'd like to tell you that statement will come back to haunt you, but I'm beginning to lose faith myself.

After game 5 last round Scott Hannan was being interviewed and Wilson walked by and tried unsuccessfully to grab his hat. A few minutes later when Ron was being interviewed the guy brought it up and he said "That's a small hat and a big head, there's no way I'm getting that off." or something like that. In hindsight it was a lot more funny during the euphoria of having trumped the Preds in five again... I'm not sure how this fits into the argument, I'm pretty much just throwing it out there.

Well, Mark Smith is back in the Sharks lineup. The combination of his heart and effort and the home crowd should be enough to inspire the rest of the team and play like they did in the second half of Game 3. But Detroit will be desperate. As a Sharks fan, I'm glad Holmstrom's back. Sure, he might give the Wings the edge they need, but he deserves to play and have a part in this series. Should make it all the more exciting!

Everyone knows, a shutout's not really a shutout until one hits the post.

Hey, first post. Sharks fan, but the Wings have always been second favorite, and I don't have a third. About the game...it was definitely nice to play against a classy team again. Bottom line though, we got lucky. We've had that defensive strategy backfire pretty badly before. Nabby was solid, one save of his off a deflection looked pretty good, but he wasn't anything special. Zetterberg impressed me. Game would have been boring if I was a Wings fan or a neutral, but it was a nail bitter as a Sharks fan. About game two- I'm scared out of my mind. I feel like some kid who snuck into a dragon's cave and stole a piece of gold, and now I'm just waiting defenseless for the dragon to hunt me down and destroy me with no mercy. This game may have been all too effective of a wake up call for the Wings, which doesn't bode well for the Sharks. So I'm definitely scared, but excited that we should have some quality playoff hockey coming up.
