I feel that it's the damn chant that screwed them in the third, karma wise. But I'm superstitious.

Seriously. I am overweight, drunk and have a pack a day habit. I might really end up like John Belushi tonight. GO F'N WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Wings stay at the Westin Hotel right near Busch Stadium. Last time they were in St Louis, we went by there. A lot of the guys seemed to sneak out the back and take alternate modes of transportation. There are a lot of those seedy professional autograph losers that hang around. But the Scottrade Center is not far at all from the Westin. If you're going in hopes of getting an autograph, be sure to wear Wings colors. And if you know any children in wheelchairs, that's probably as good as gold. Don't expect guys like Dats and Hank to sign or even walk out the front to the bus. Those previously mentioned pro autograph losers really ruin the opportunity to say hi to your favorite team.

Man, I thought this thread was going to be about whisky. You always want every shot to be quality, but it's like Gretzky once famously said "100% of the shots you don't take, don't go in." I might be paraphrasing. I say fire away! As long as every shot doesn't hit the goalie square in the logo. (I'm looking at you, Mr. Samuelsson)

I want tomorrow's boxscore to look like an NHL 2007 game with the difficulty setting on Rookie. At least one point for everyone. They chase Nabokov off at 7:32 in the 1st period and Hasek gets the 7-shot shutout. It could happen.

First and foremost, I am a hockey fan. My love and admiration for the sport exceeds any team loyalty. That being said, both The Wings and The Captain have been a big part of my existence since I was a child. Strangely enough, I started cheering for the Red Wings because they were the bad guys. At least in St. Louis they were. I went to my first game at the St Louis Arena back in 1988. All I remember is that the game ended in a 4-4 tie and that I'd never been privy to so much intensity and downright hostility. It was like a drug. Maybe I was a sadist at eight years old, but I've been a Wings fan ever since. I used to catch all sorts of hell through school, but I never wavered in my support. I'll never forget the 96 Quarterfinals. People in St Louis still get a bug up their asses if you mention "the goal". I love it! Now that I'm an adult, I try to make it up to JLA at least once a year for a live Wings fix. It's refreshing to walk into a hockey rink and NOT have frat kids try to fight you because you're wearing the Winged Wheel. Mahalo.
