Can we get a W in the tank?

As a counter point, shouldn't the fact that SJ hasn't played a full 60-minute game yet in this series scare you, should they suddenly decide to play the whole game? I'm glad we're playing the Wings, good solid team, good solid fans, but if SJ hasn't played two full 60-minute games (which I agree they haven't) but won one by shutout, and were leading for the first 2 periods of the other. That would put a bit of fear in me as a Wings fan. Just my view from the flipside. To continue.... I think game 2 Hasek stole for the Wings. He made that perfect pass to Michalek, just to make the game more interesting after giving up a semi-soft goal to McLaren/Cheechoo (to me it looked like the puck redirected on him, and Im' a Sharks fan). Detroits D stepped, up, and so did Hasek on Saturday after two quick goals (again) in the first. Tonights game should be very nervewracking/exciting. Can't wait until 7:00.

Didn't need to do anything on this one other than add the caption.

Ha!Ha! I did one like that last year when the Sharks played the Oilers. Good job!

Um, yeah. Uncalled for if I was directly referencing the on ice attack of Steve Moore, however I wasn't. The joke is in the captions and how sad Bertuzzi looks that he won't be hoisting The Cup this year when the Wings lose in 5 games. Please don't take the Photoshopped pics as any kind of personal attack. And for the record, I am NOT SamADelphia.

    Here comes the bluster..

Fixed, thanks. Good, then you are all well aware that Guerin never said: "I can read the Wings like a book." The point of the article was he has experience (maybe a little gamesmanship in the interviews), and the skillset to be effective in the playoffs. Towards the end of the article it clearly intimated that he needed to pick-up his game and do what he was brought here to do. Bring grit, experience, and most importantly, score goals.

Mr. Bertuzzi, what are your thoughts of facing the San Jose Sharks in the second round? Bertuzzi: "*sniff* Sharks in 5 *sniff*"

    POST GAME - Game 1 (4/26) SJ 2 DET 0

The game was a well played affair, however on both sides of the ledger (Sharks/Wings) there were many mistakes. We (San Jose) only managed to capitalize on two of the mistakes, in 24 seconds. Cheech had the puck roll off his stick (well that's what the announcers said, but I think he fanned on his backhand attempt), and he had Hasek CLEARLY beaten. There was another time before the initial goal where there was a turnover at the blue line and Cheech had the puck on his stick and fired high over the net, most likely thanks to Lidstrom getting back and partially blocking the shot with his stick. The Sharks gave up too many scary chances, only the Wings seemed reluctant to pull the trigger. Zetterberg didn't shoot on the odd-man rush, gave an extra pass to Datsyuk, who stickhandled for what seemed liek 15 seconds in front of the net before having his stick mercifully lifter by Marleau. Bertuzzi walked right in on Nabokov during a power play and then inexplicably weakly passed it back to the point so Lidstrom could fire a shot that was... "blocked!" Two goals the Wings passed up right there, and those were gimme's. I didn't even mention the shot ringing off the post. If your guys would've pulled the trigger a few more times, and our guys would have capitalized a bit more, you're looking at a wholly different game. However, please don't say that there were only 24 seconds where mistakes were made. They were made all over the ice, by both teams, only the Sharks came out in this particular case on the winning end. Game two will be better, harder fought, more exciting for us the fan, I'm so looking forward to tomorrow. "Sharks in 5"
