For all the crap the NHL manages to produce marketing wise, they sure know how to lift their game come playoff time. The "cup raise" promo from last year was amazing. The "History will be made" promos are even better, just so many possibilities with them plus, intentional or not, it has encouraged greater fan involvement.

This. I would one day like to see, Zets Dats Homer on the 1st line, then Mule Flip and another decent forward (preferably not bertuzzi..too hot and cold for my liking) Hopefully filppula becomes that kind of player.

Yea I was thinking 3-4. Definatly no more than 4. Man the wings have been lucky with their goalie cap hits. I really don't like the idea of spending more than 2mill on a goal tender. They are rarely consistant enough to earn the big salaries year to year. I know its unrealistic and would be unfair..but still. Short term contracts are the way to go I suppose. *cough* Islanders *cough*

This is absolutely ridiculous. Yes the NHL is a business, but rigging a series to the point where it's impossible for a particular team to win, would kill the leagues reputation and cause losses in revenue that FAR outweigh any losses caused by a failing organisation. It was not the case in last years scf either, just think about all the little game changing moments (eg stalls shorty) that had nothing to do with biased reffing. Infact that particular example was caused by officiating in the wings favour!

I know what you mean, People here go to great lengths to discredit the guy at every opputtunity. He's hardly perfect but he's a great player simple as that, and for the record so is ovechkin. That's right I like ovechkin AND Crosby! How strange...
