Of course they will improve the players around them but it still takes a certain type of player. Backstrom would be a star center with or with out Ovy. I just feel that the Capitals wouldn't fall apart without Ovechkin. Semin has 40 goals i believe? The pens would have been in serious trouble without Crosby this season, throw Buffalo in the same category. No way they get 3rd seed without Miller.

I agree that by definition it's hard to call him MVP. However it's still an impressive indiviual performance, especially considering the games he missed. Then again you could always make the argument that he plays in a weak division...regardless I'd be shocked if he wasn't nominated. Out of curiosity, who are your top three?

Oh God that is a terrible schedule for me. Game 1 is fine, Game 2 I'm working. Game 3, 3am start! Game 4 i have uni, game 6, 2am start! I'm also very busy with assignments and tests through that whole week. Grades are gonna suffer

I think Miller would be the favorite. Although I'd like to see a skater win it personally. Henrik has impressive point totals but i'm not so sure he is the MVP, especially when Daniel is just as important to the Canucks as Henrik. I think Crosby has been brilliant, he has had to carry the pens goal scoring this year, which hes never needed to do before. edit: confusing the twins

I saw that, it wasn't that great to be honest. Someone posted one on here the other day which was really good. Had all the goals you would want. The FSD one is better for production value though, obviously. To be fair the record is what this thread was about. Regarding the goal scoring, I was amazed today to find out during the game from Ken, that this is the first time since 97-98 that we havn't had a 30 goal scorer. The fact that we have gone so many years with 30 goal scorers doesn't surprise me. But the fact that we didnt have any one hit 30 during a stanley cup year was interesting to hear.

I think that would overcomplicate things to the point where you would have disputeable goals/point allocation. Game doesn't need that.

By that logic Sedin shouldn't win the art Ross since 39 of his points were secondary assits. edit: not that hes tied with anyone..but still points are points.
