I was wondering where McCarty, Cheli, Kopecky, etc., sit when they aren't in the lineup? Do they come into the locker room during the intermissions and pump up the team and let them know what adjustments they would make? I always wondered where they were and was curious if anyone knew.

I thought that Mac was out tonite with Homer's return? I'm such a big McCarty fan, it was amazing to see him score the first goal of the playoffs.

Does anyone think now that Franzen is back, that McCarty will be back in the lineup? Is there anyone they would replace him with as a healthy scratch? I know Helm brings a little more to the table, but I love it when the other teams do something wrong and they put the camera on Mac. He's all missing teeth and looking rough, all fired up ready to kill someone; and a lil tear comes to my eye! Can't help but love him! I understand why other guys get the nod, I was just curious.

I was reading through some comments on ESPN.com to an article about this and someone was saying how most Red Wings fans are not really Pistons fans and vice versa. But somehow, I find most Detroit sports fans "follow" all of our pro teams. Plus, either MSU or UofM. Also, I recently moved from Michigan to Atlanta, and I would say more than 90% of the people I run into from Michigan here are avid sports fans. We represent! you should have seen how many Tigers fans were at Turner field last summer. SO many wings and pistons jerseys there! So, I couldnt agree more about this thread, it's pretty disappointing they overlap and the NHL really doesn't care to do anything to help the situation. BUT it's a great situation to be in, having both teams this deep into the playoffs. I can only imagine some of the next replies from pens fans, that we ***** about everything and how we are like the "yankees of the nhl." how can you do that to us? Still, I'M ANNOYED!
