Before i get into my point let me set a couple things straight. I am a ducks fan and the Red wings are not one of my favorite teams however i respect the Organization as well as the fan base. I am not here to argue, i just want to talk hockey with some people who aren't biased like Duck fans. Anyways... James Wisniewski got suspended for two games for his hit on Shan Doan. Theres a little news link and a video of the hit on NHL.com. As hockey fans i was wondering: What do you think of the hit? Do you think it was clean? Was it suspension worthy? I feel that the ducks are given this ridiculous double standard and are given suspensions that the nhl doesn't dream of giving to other teams and even cover it up as "clean" when a marketable superstar does it. *cough ovechkin* cough* I usually come on LGW occassionally to discuss hockey in a not so duck friendly atmosphere because i like your opinions so any would be nice. It was not suspension worthy. Phaneuf has been doing that the last 4 seasons. Penalty sure but suspension??? No

Great Signing in my opinion. Secondary scoring was the difference between the Red Wings Being in the cup final over the ducks and it is now addressed. Defense is weaker. Once we get Wiz resigned we'd need one more Dman. someone like Seidenberg or Morris. Should be interesting to see how things pans out

Ok first off im sorry for calling you a dude.... AND i think the the wings deserved to win (if not for giggy), but with giggy it deserved to go to OT and the Ducks earned the win by playing better in OT Im just stating an opinion and now ill get bashed probly, But Great series, Great Team, and i look forward to next season and playing the wings once again OK how are they even with the wings winning??? then they wouldn't be even. With your logic i believe we should be heading back to joe for a Game 7.

Datsyuk was entertaining for me to watch caus i dont get to see him often and he is an outstanding player

dude get over it. The fact that the "lucky" goal happened doesnt mean that the red wings didn't put it away when they had the chance. They had a 2nd period full of opportunites to get up by 2 goals or more. And our 2 goals were both just taking advantage of two preventable red wings mistakes

no sportsmanship???? Excluding a pronger hit on holm this series was clean and even. I mean seriously perrys trash talking is light....ive heard worse in a rec league and its part of the game

1st goal wouldve been but hasek was outta of his crease so it isn't considered interference. Would have to see 3rd goal again to make comment on that one

I opened this thread with high expectations and was disappointed. Red wings played great. Dats and Zett are truly unbelievable and i enjoy watching them play so for you guys to watch them year around must be a gift. Say whatever you want, call us goons, blame giggys pads, say the refs rigged the game, we got lucky and whatever else i missed The point is ducks did what it took to win. I know how it feels to feel you outplayed and still lose (see edmonton series last year) You guys have a great team with promise to become even better. I can even see a rematch next year but the bottom line is series is over and we need to do our own handshake as fans.

that call isn't consistent with what weve seen but it is still a penalty..... and you guys had your chances to put it away

But they did throw Niedermeyar and even if the game was over they still severely punished one ducks already. Now I believe their making up for the refs making the wrong call. Notice this is my opinion, and im not saying any of yours are wrong i just disagree with it. And not only because im a ducks fan

HE should of been ejected from the game...... Holmstrom shoulda had his helmet on tighter...... rob shoulda got 2 minute charging, and no one should be suspended.

This Suspension is Stupid!!!!!!!!!! Before i get jumped over by all the nice people her, hear me out. This suspension wouldn't of happened if Rob Niedermeyer wasn't the one sent off. Pronger deserved to be sent off instead but the refs punished the wrong man instead, now the NHL feels since PRONGER was never punished by the refs that they will punish him the only way they can. suspension. If Pronger is suspended for that then Alfy of the Sens should of been suspended for that boarding incident.

ducks were off their game from about the 2nd shift in the game. ducks didnt show up in the first place. Red wings outhustled, outsmarted, outcoached, and flat out out played ducks tonight in every area

The red wings did play at full power, but if the ducks played at full power, it wouldnt be close to 5-0. The ducks played possibly the worst game since a dallas game in 98. Embarrassing
