Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head

Excuse you. I live and die with this team, so maybe you need to check your radar and see that the Ducks do have diehards out there. -
Pronger at it again: elbow to McAmmond's head
Duckette replied to zetterbergfuturemvp's topic in General
While I don't think he intended to elbow him in the head, or to hurt him (if he had, he would have fully extended those elbows and he brought them in right before the hit) I want Pronger suspended, at least 1 game. His play has been disgraceful and he played like crap last night. He should have been benched, then it wouldn't have happened. But, the BS reffing was going on all night, so what are ya gunna do? I still steamed about the entire game, but w/e. If Pronger isn't suspended, he needs to get on his knees and thank God. -
It's always a been a big joke between them about that. But, since Marty is married and has twins, I think you don't have much to worry about with them
-
No. Did you see it online or on NBC?
-
The problem is, they're very leniant about letting people sing the National Anthem. All I had to do was send them a video and they never wanted to actually see me or anything, they just let me sing (although, I never did do it, too much trouble) I don't think they'd ever bring in the aforementioned singers, due to the fact that it's hockey. Maybe Avril, but no one else. And Snoop isn't a Ducks fan. He just said that these were his first games and he only came to them because his son wanted to come....then afterwards he went and got high in the parking lot. So, don't count on him going too far out of his way.

I seem to be young enough to be a lot of people's younger siblings/children/grandchildren on online forums BTW, Tampa may have the Number 3 attendance, but their crowd was pathetic for most of the season. NO intensity in that building. I was at game 6 when they were eliminated, and if I hadn't known any better, I wouldn't have known that the Bolts had been eliminated. The fans were...emotionless....

You're welcome to! We still hate Paulina Kariya (well, most of us) no matter what he does! And we most likely always will. Trust me, we Ducks fans know what it's like to hate someone
-
Jill Burke used to sing it all the time during the playoffs and she was great. IDK where she went. We used to have a girl (who was my classmate) named Joelle James who would sing. But now she's too good for those kind of things The game has too many innings for her... I agree, they were bad. IDK where our good singers went!

I believe Parent did it as well. Between Roy and Parent (who I think it is) one had 3 of them and the other had 2.

If I could, I'd SO give it to Jiggy! I'd love for him to have the Conn Smythe! You're right. It isn't my fault that he laid a dirty hit on someone, but I am a fan of the team so I feel some responsibility. I can't help it... as a player, I hate cheap shots, so it's something I highly detest, even more so with my own team.

The Pond is very nice in perspective of cleanliness and comfortability. The atmosphere (80% of the time) is nothing compared to the Joe, but it's on SoCal, so what do you expect? I love the Pond, its my home, but we can't compare to the Joe in atmosphere.

I guess I forgot to put that I mean I like Jiggy's passion. I don't like whining either, from anyone, but I love what Burke has done for this franchise. But I mean Jiggy's passion, not Burkies. It's past midnight, I'm a little tired. Forgive me No, I did not see that hit. I saw ZERO hockey until Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against your Red Wings. But I have heard about it. I don't approve of any cheap shots or cheating. When Teemu was caught with that illegal team, I was crushed. I wish Pronger would learn to control himself. I don't like for the Ducks to be tagged as a bunch of goons, because they aren't. This is an extremely talented team. I will be taking it easy, seeing how I'm on summer vacation (woohoo!) Have a great summer!!

Fine with me! I love Jiggy! But I fell in love with him during the 2003 run, my first ever hockey game. You don't have to love him, I just thought you mean that what he did was unsportsmanlike and I didn't understand how that was possible You don't have to like Pronger. I'm not too fond of him myself, but I do love what Burke has done with this franchise. I like his passion that he shows, so it doesn't bother me I'm a very passionate person too, so it fits right in my book just fine

I don't think it's premature celebration. It's excitement that we're leading in a Cup series. FYI, the Ducks have never lead in an SCF series before and it's exciting. Some goalies are emotional, but all he's doing is pumping his arms up in the air. Thats what he does after Regular Season games. I thought you were saying that Jiggy was being unsportsmanlike, and I was wondering how that was possible.
-
We're not all stupid. FYI, Valley Girls don't sit around twirling their hair in their fingers, saying 'OMG' and shopping all the time. SoCal is not as depicted by the media and everyone's general ideas. I'm here in Florida and no one believes me when I tell them I am a Valley Girl because I don't act like they do in the movies. My point is, you can't generalize. Yes, we have some stupid fans, but who doesn't? It just seems that they look for the stupid fans when it comes to the Ducks.

Crying after losing the one thing you have dreamed of since you were 3 years old shows poor sportsmanship? You act like he bashed the entire NJ franchise, threw a temper tantrum on the ice and didn't shake hands with the players. That was one of the saddest nights for me, and I remember it well. I didn't know that being human was a sin. My gosh, people want so much from others, but he's freaking HUMAN! He wanted to win it for his very ill mother. She has alzheimers and he wanted to win it while she could still know what he was talking about. Now he has to deal with everything with his son. He put his hands up in the air. I didn't know that was acting like he won the cup or poor sportsmanship.
-
Could that be the mother Duck that lives outside of the arena?
-
Same here. That was extremely insulting. They purposely go out of their way to find STUPID 'Ducks fans'. They did the same last season, and then insulted us by saying we didn't even know how to say 'Bryzgalov' before he got big Bull s***! i know hockey. Born in SoCal. Lived in SoCal for 9 years (3 different times). This pisses me off more than anything, that people can be such ass holes! We knew hockey! EVERYONE has ignorant fans, NHL and other media just like to go out of their way to find the stupid ones. This really pisses me off. Most residents? That was like 3 or 4. And the fandom spreads past the OC. Ass holes...

I live in Hillsborough county I've heard of Ocala. I just moved here from SoCal, so I'm not too familiar with the area.
-
And that wasn't a dirty game. There were a lot of phantom calls going against the Ducks too. Puck bunny happy? I was jumping for joy. We've never lead in an SCF series. Plus, I always raise my arms like that after a win, and I'm playing rec right now. Some people just show more emotion than others. It's ok
-
I didn't know Jiggy wasn't allowed to get excited after a victory in the SCF after stoping a flurry of opportunities. Still bitter much?
-
Well, then I apologize. I assumed you would know of it since it was all over the news even here.
-
I think I might have found it more shocking than upsetting. If he got a good laugh out of it, fine. I still worry about Maxime.
-
Ok. I figured that you would know in Detroit. There were tons of articles about it not only on ESPN but in our local papers. My mistake. Mr. Feaster didn't tell me about the thing with Jiggy. And I didn't go out of my way to find it. Anyone else that had any idea? My entire hockey team (all of them hate the Ducks) 75% of the hockey fans at my school, people in my neighborhood, other people at sports stores I converse with. Is that enough people for you? I thought you'd have coverage of that. The BJ's knew of it and constantly talked about it during the last game of the season between them. I thought someone in Detroit would have picked up on that before the series. Plus, in my post, I didn't mean necessarily Wings fans in Detroit, but the Wings fans in Cali that would have done the TPing. I think they'd have to live there or have some sort of connections to figure out where Jiggy lives. They would most likely know since it was all over the SoCal news. I wasn't expecting you to find out every single personal problem in the lives of the Ducks. And whether you knew what was going on or not, TPing his house was still lame. The only thing I'm worried about is his sons health.
-
Is Maxime ok? They said it was bad timing, not that the Wings fans planned it out. It still was really classless. There are quite a few Ducks fans that live in his neighborhood and I'm assuming this is one of them. I sure hope little Maxime is ok.... And if the people in FLORIDA know about the medical condition with his son, then the Wings fans should know a long with all the people in SoCal, so you can't say it was ignorace. Just arrogance.
