If you want Babcock to take responsibility, then maybe you guys should too. You can't blame everything on the refs, and Jiggy's pads aren't illegal. But if telling yourself those lies makes you feel better, then far be it for me to stop you.
-
Wow, with all the extremely rude remarks I have received you would think I absolutely trolled here, when all I did was make a statement about how Jiggy gets not credit. And he doesn't HAVE to flop around because he's always in position. And MrSandMan, if you have a problem with me, take it to PM. I have done nothing to oppress you either here nor on AD. Where was I after Game 3? Here. I just can't always get on. I have school that I have to finish, you know Both goalies are bigger than Hasek. Hasek is about as big as my pinky. Jiggy is 6'1" 201 lbs and Bryz is 6'4" 225 lbs (or something like that). They aren't small dudes.

Dude, non-calls are going both ways. I see SO much clutching and grabbing down in the Detroit end. We're each looking through our own team's glasses. There are games where refs give the games away (Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Tampa vs. NJ) but tonight was not one of them. We didn't score on PP, neither did you. Tonight was about missed opportunities, not reffing.
-
Bitter much? I'm not going to rub it in your face, but SOMEONE needs to give Jiggy credit. He played a great game, but all I hear is Hasek and Detroit. While Detroit outplayed Anaheim, 36 saves in consecutive games is impressive.

I'm a fan of the Ducks and I'M getting sick of Pronger's mouth
-
I think you mean Niedermayer. And that's not all I ever hear. All I ever hear is butt kissing for the Sabres, Red Wings, Canucks (that made me SO sick) and the Pens. Thats all I get here in Florida, if not that, Tampa Bay butt kissing.
-
WTF? Love couple? They don't even play on the same line except for the PP

He's really not ok. He hasn't been 'ok' since he had that stress fracture in his foot, which didn't heal and he didn't have surgery on.

That's really uncharacteristic to see Ducks fans start fights during/after a game, or cause problems. I apologize for their rudeness. Most of the fans (not all) try to stay out of trouble. I remember after Game 5 of the WCF, these three drunken Oilers fans were following me around the entire arena. It was really scaring me. They cornered me and started yelling me and harassing me. Luckily, three other people moved them away before they did anything, but it happens even when you're at home. I was only 15, and I'm 5'8". These guys were like, 6'2" and had to be somewhere in their 20's. I'm pretty strong, but they could have beaten the snot out of me. Me and one of my teammates had the same problem during Game 3 of the Conference Quarterfinals against Calgary. They were picking on my teammate (who is REALLY small) and they wouldn't stop. A couple of people told them to get a life. I'm not trying to pick on the Canadian fans (my best friend is a Flames fan) but that's just when it happened. It was definitely scary. It happens everywhere, no matter your age or your gender. It's scary. I had the same problem here in Tampa. I was pelted in the head with all sorts of objects cuz I was in a Ducks jersey. Three drunken guys were harassing me and my best friend, once again. Luckily, it didn't turn into anything big. It's very disappointing though... I thought he was trying to strangle him

NFM is my best friend. I really appreciate him and this post! I hope that my dry remarks weren't taken in an insulting manner. The only time I would imagine myself being rude is when we get on the topic of insulting Giguere (I get enough of that from my teammates) I hope that we can all start out new and that people here can realize not all Ducks fans are like justheducks.
-
If you're going to debate the, PLEASE, at LEAST spell their names right! It's Jean-Sebastien Giguere aka 'Jiggy' and Ilya Bryzgalov aka 'Bryz'. That's just one of my pet peeves, sorry if you think it's ridiculous.

You do realize that goalies aren't supposed to have to make desperation saves all the time, right? You're supposed to be sound positionally in order to be in front of the shot, no matter what. He can make glove/blocker saves. I've seen them. He's just very sound positionally, that way he doesn't HAVE to worry about flopping around. I'm done with this subject. This horse is dead and it's been beaten since 2003. It's boring.

It was said with much love

Please ignore justtheducks. I don't like to call people morons or anything, but this guy has shown idiocy to the very end. It's really making me want to puke. Not all of us Ducks fans feel like this. There were several members on the Ducks site that wanted Pronger to be suspended. Just because we're Ducks fans doesn't mean we all think he should be innocent.
-
I'm glad you care about my opinion I can assure you I'm not the only Ducks fan to disagree with you. I wish you would read your posts before you post them. I don't remember arguments with you on AD, but whatever. I really appreciate this notion made by NFM. I also received a kind PM from another member of this board along the same lines. Not all us Ducks fans are like 'justtheducks' in posting and trying to justify it by saying we're 'die hards'. I'm a die hard, and I haven't agreed with one think you've said. NFM, Thank you. Thank you very much.

Let me put it into terms for people who are unfamiliar with SoCal traffic (I don't mean that in a derogatory fashion) I lived 45 minutes from Anaheim with no traffic. To get there at 6:00 PM (and I mean getting in my seat at 6PM) I would have to leave my house....around 3:00PM, maybe earlier, maybe later. It's bad. Trust me. Now, consider that and that most SoCal schools don't get out till around 3:15PM and other work It's crazy.

I wasn't generalizing. I pointed out several times that it wasn't all posters. It wasn't most posters. And that wasn't the thread I was talking about, becuase I remember replying to the one I was talking about. It was probably deleted because it was a double... Thanks YoungGuns. I'm glad someone can sympathize for me

Teemu's never been an abundant playoff producer. He could be hurt, but I doubt it. It wouldn't make a difference with production, but it would with leadership and control of emotions (which we obviously need)
-
There have been a lot of rumors on Finnish sites that Teemu has a broken bone somewhere on his hand/finger. I doubt it's true, and I haven't heard anything per the Anaheim Ducks or the OCR, but I'll keep an eye out.
-
We'd be doing the same thing if it was Teemu. As long as they're not attacking us it's not what I'd consider 'classless'. Think of it if the tables were turned, THEN post
-
oh where oh where have all the ducks fans gone
Duckette replied to hillbillywingsfan's topic in General
I just moved here from Riverside County (45 minutes south of Anaheim, lived there for 5 years) My dad is in the Military. So I've moved a lot, but I'm a SoCal girl -
Are you a retard? Oh my Gosh! It's WAY worse! Holmstrom's head was split open! He had freaking THIRTEEN STITCHES! NO ONE on the Ducks was hurt by Boogie's errant knees. Pronger's hit was extremely dirty, now that I have seen it. I hope you're kidding. I'm a DIE HARD Ducks fan and I do NOT agree with this. I think this is a huge load of crap! You don't give games away with penalties! Just because we take six doesn't mean the refs have to turn around and give out six! You EARN penalties, you don't have them given to you because the ref is bored. Now I know why the Wings fans are so mad and think that all Ducks fans think this is such some horrible crime that Pronger has been suspended. Wow. Now it makes sense why Wings fans think we are all SO blinded by homersim. Wow....
-
You're right, which is why I don't condemn you for being mad at Pronger I know what it's like. And you're right, I don't have to watch for my head, cuz I'm a goalie. They just sit on me. And I'm in Florida playing hockey. I had to go to Florida to play ice hockey
-
Ok, my point that was cheering for an injury is cheering on an injury. I just saw the hit and once again I will state that I think it was dirty and that there is no place in the NHL for that. The Pond is a place I've been in for the past 4 years and there isn't a time where I can remember the crowd cheering on someone not moving and bleeding. I play, and yes I realize hits to the head are not even close to being comparable to hand injuries, but the thought of cheering an injury is all the same to me. Also, I can't tell whose bleeding from nosebleed seats. I can't tell whose bleeding from the lower bowl. This whole "The fans were cheering his injury" thing was blown out of proportion. Ducks fans are not the re-incarnation of Satan, I assure you. On a side note, am I the only one that thinks Holmstrom looks like a chimp with his helmet off?
-
I wasn't reaching for anything new, I wanted to know. And an injury is an injury. When the news came in on this board that Kunitz was hurt, several members on this board applauded. I assure you, 99.9% of the people in the Pond were NOT cheering the injury. They were going insane because it was the first bit of action they had seen all night. A 5-0 shutout is kinda boring when you're losing. Unless the Pond suddenly became infested with King fans, I know the crowd, and they wouldn't do something like that. It was because of the action. Just be patient, some of us can be slow, as it has been rudely pointed out several times. And I didn't say it was all Wings fans. My point was: It's on both sides, not just one.
