Seriously? All this happened? I don't remember it being like that, and I didn't leave all that long ago... I remember in 2003 some Wings fans grabbing Ducks fans and beating them up (I was 12, scared the crap out of me) I know it means nothing to you, but I am sorry you had this experience. It's disgusting and a disgrace.

No, I agree. Anaheim doesn't deserve to be in these playoffs. I'm not going to lie, I was just happy that the Ducks made it there. I didn't expect them to beat SJ, let alone in 6. I never expected them to be leading the series with Detroit, let alone win one in the Joe. But, when everyone from Seed 6 down did not so hot.... you know what I'm saying?

Haha, and I'm used to cheering for a team that's bottom 3 (except for past two years). And you also got to remember that the 8 teams on each is done so that each round works. You can't just get rid of two teams. The series would be unequal.

What Holmstrom did was no big deal. I mean, yea I'm sure it hurt like hell, but it wasn't intentional. He was battling with Scott Niedermayer (I think) and pulled his arm back and clipped Wisniewski. He wasn't spitting up blood, his lip was cut. The press always wants some sort of drama and some sort of conspiracy. Someone always did something intentionally, especially in the playoffs.

But if that's the logic, there will always be a bottom seed. You'll soon say it's not fair for the 6th seed or the 4th seed. There's always someone who is in last place. I love the way the playoffs are, because things like this can happen. Isn't that what makes the NHL playoffs so great anyways? How many people watched the Carolina/Edmonton series just because Edmonton was the 8th seed and no other team had done that? A lot of people I know watched it and they aren't in to hockey (before you make a comment, I live in Florida, not SoCal). That's part of what makes the NHL playoffs intense, because anyone can win.

I agree with teckaholic. You guys got screwed. Honestly, if it hadn't been for that missed call I'm not so sure the Ducks could have pulled off a win. The reason the goal was not reviewed, however, is because it cannot be. If the referee blows the whistle and waves no goal, when he was intending to blow the whistle before the puck went in the net, it can't be reviewed, because technically the puck never went in during play. Not saying I agree with the rule (though it makes sense) just explaining it. Unfortunately, the ref lots sight of the puck and blew the whistle. I've been saying there's nothing we Ducks fans can complain about officiating tonight. Detroit got screwed. I'm sorry it ended like that, because I like games without referee hiccups. But, Thursday will be another test, one I am greatly anticipating

They're content with Johan Holmqvist and I truly believe Denis will have a bounce-back season. You Detroit fans should know what he's capable of. He's a decent goaltender. He's just got to get used to the Offense-First Eastern Conference hockey, instead of the Defense-First Western Conference. Denis gets no credit, but he played some absolutely phenomenal games for Tampa and stole them some points. In fact, I am still infuriated that Tortorella didn't even have him dressed in the playoffs. What a joke. Johan Holmqvist is starter material, he's just got a lot of developing to do. Mostly confidence in his game and learning what to do in pressure situations and what to do in scramble-mode. They do need offensive help though, because after Lecavalier, St. Louis and occasionally Richards, they have little to none offensive power. Sometimes you get Perrin, Prospal or Ward chipping in, but not too often. I can't believe they haven't gone after D-Men. Their defense is horrible.

St. Louis already has a NTC and can't be traded. Richards is the only one that can go. Lecavalier won't go anywhere due to scoring 52 goals. Richards is the only one I can see leaving Tampa, because Lecavalier and St. Louis can do the same things he can and they score more. I was under the impression that Richards doesn't have an NTC. I'll ask Mr. Feaster...

Mr. Feaster has been alloted more money to spend on the players. Also, he got rid of Sean Burke's salary last season, that was about $1M I believe.

About the same number, actually. I'm ignoring your conspiracy theory. I put the quotes around the '1 million' because I had heard that there were more and there were less. It was my way of meeting in the middle. I can go grab a media guide and count how many tickets were sold throughout the history of the Ducks, not including the 2006-07 season. California is NOT a hockey hot bed. I'm not trying to argue that. But we do have fans. Get over it. So not all of SoCal showed up to party for the Cup, it shouldn't matter! The franchise is there in Cali and it isn't leaving. It's been made a legal thing as of last summer that the name 'Anaheim' cannot be removed from the Franchise's name. They're stuck here How long ago did you live there? We have rinks in Sarasota, Oldsmar and tons of other places now. There are a bunch more rinks than just those three. And I'm not even in the area in anymore I'm here in Tampa...
