100 K FINE is ridiculous and so would anything over one game. I've seen worse hits go un-punished. While i agree it was a bad hit and ultimately injured Tomas,the result of such a call by the league office would have guys walking on egg shells. Just give him his game off.

I think Melrose really nailed it for once,he said it was worse then the Cheechoo hit that garnered a one game suspension,so i suspect we won't see Pronger in game 4. I thought it was an atrocious hit and careless and wreckless. Sad to see Pronger get the hook,but if it happened to one of my players i would expect the same.

Dom was a pitbull in net and was really challenging everything they tossed at him. Glad to see TOM SLICK make it back after that atrocious hit by Pronger. I'm expecting a one game suspension such as the hit on Cheechoo garnered,we'll see what happens. What a playoff game to have seats five rows back to see. Good god my friend and i looked at each other and just could not believe the onslaught. Worst game i've seen all year long less the Philly home game,but that would be taking away from Detroit to say it was the ducks not playing their game,they were completely taken out of their game and handled. Kudos to the Wings they really came prepared and showed some great finishing skills near the net last night. Hope the next game doesn't turn into a repeat as i have seats for that also.

Lidstrom/Hasek I think Lidstrom currently,but by no means would he cancel out Hasek as they are as even as the series they're currently playing.

OUCH! The ducks are exactly the opposite,very fan friendly and will sign for anyone and their grandmother. All of this thanks to Brian Burke who makes it happen. Plus Anaheim Ice is almost always open to the public.

Have to agree here. Years ago i went to the national convention in Anaheim and the GREAT Bob Feller was signing for ten measly dollars. Steve Garvey who i cannot stomach was signing for 25 dollars on flats and had a line that was astronomical in size. I got in the line for Bob Feller and waited for about three people ahead of me and laughed when i got up to Feller and said how could they disrespect you this way Rapid having you sign next to garvey and for 15 dollars less. He said i wouldn't have charged anything if they would have let me.

Why put it towards a #2 center when you can provide that cash towards a number one center like Scott Gomez also. Handzus has never really impressed me.

That should counteract Bertuzzi's uselessness quite well. Too bad for Kunitz hes really come into his own this year. Hes a pesky SOB and he plays all out every game the entire game.

I think Beuchemin played just fine last game. He obviously had some bad luck in the prior game but that just happens to be detroits good luck. Its funny how both fanbases change their tune so quick after a loss. I will stick by Beauchemin hes had a great year and its but one game,he'll rebound he always does.

The Blues looked really good in the second half after Murrays system was in place and they started to gel a lil bit. They are no where near being a great team,but they have a few brightspots and some good draft picks so they are moving forward. I think the divisions kind of even out and parity is growing in the new nhl and overall i like that about the NHL,and it bodes well for the future of the sport. Gotcha. I don't agree with it and didn't think the sharks would win that series on paper. I think the sharks are one of those teams that has big players and plays small. They rely more on skill then grit and physical play.

I understand that part of it,just curious as to why the ducks would have any basis for being favored. I look at the wings as having faced better competition to this point it just boggles the mind the ducks would be favored. I think at this point the teams are very evenly matched and it is really gonna come down to the intangibles as to who wins this series. The small things such as faceoffs,finished checks,turnovers will come up big.

I don't understand how Anaheim could be favored in their matchup with the wings. The wings are the number one seed and tied their season series so although the great minds of hockey might have predicted it i think even the casual fan has to look at detroit going into this series as the favorite just for home ice alone.

Since this is Matt and he seems to be a voice of reason around here i will politely decline further response on the subject. I just find it funny i haven't seen Prongers statements on any other site or hf boards. I find it rather ludicrous that this guy was even remotely close to the showers with the players but have at it people. Perhaps this guy was stirring the pot,but i find it hearsay at the moment because i think even Pronger has a great level of respect for the opponent and wouldn't make such blank statements within earshot of reporters.

Lidstrom has been awesome. Hes as advertised and has been your best player thus far in both games. Gotta hand it to Hasek in the last game,but Nik has been incredible.
