Cool, but one question: Considering that the commercial is supposed to show snapshots of the cup champs though history, why do we see so many pics of the 'Canes holding the cup. I could understand showing the Oilers, Detroit, NJ, several times, but why do the Canes deserve so much love for their (count 'em) one cup.

Schneider, despite not always having the best aim, was pretty darn good at the give and go for the one timer from the point. Sammy just gets it, takes his time figuring out what he is going to do, takes a few strides, then fires a slapper that fools nobody and ends up getting blocked, deflected to the corner, or stopped. Cheli is probably the one guy who has a harder time hitting the net than Sammy. Cheli's point shots end up nowhere near the net. He should start practicing the shot-pass, not that it would do him any good. I like Cheli, but he is a limited minute role playing defensive D-man at this point in his career.

Actually on second thought, that is clearly goaltender interference! There is definite physical contact in the crease.

Although I wasn't all that impressed with Kopecky this season, I am not ready to throw him under the bus yet. He could still develop into a solid player. IMHO, I think that he could have used an extra year in GR to develop and gain confidence. I think that maybe he wasn't ready to jump to the big time.
