I think that Joel Q is a total fool if he starts Theo. Apparently he cares more about protecting the bruised ego of his starter, then he does about getting back into the series. Budaj has been reasonably sharp. In my mind, it's a no brainer.

Both Phaneuf and Chara are worthy finalists. Phaneuf will have his time in the sun--just not this year. Lidstrom is the clear choice for Norris in '08. I think that Phaneuf could become the next "perennial" Norris winner, unless some of the other young, talented D-men step it up (i.e. Campbell, Greene, Markov, etc).

Game plan: 1) Don't panic 2) Score first 3) When Preds score, don't overreact and give up the immeadiate scoring chance. 4) avoid unnecessary penalties, e.g. Draper's cross-check on PK 5) Don't dump and chase when the Preds are certain to get there first 6) Don't make hasty passes, especially to players who aren't likely to be able to take the pass, i.e. players that are covered or are turned away from the play 7) Don't allow soft goals

Watch as all the fair-weathered fans jump off the bandwagon. Will Holland get fired if the Wings lose to the Preds? Very unlikely. Will there be some changes? Sure, but their not gonna have a fire sale and start over. Instead the management will address key issues to make the team more playoff ready. Personally, I think the Wings problem has always been that they find a way to play down to the level of the competition. -
I bet that you jumped off the bandwagon last year when the Wings lost games 3 and 4 to Calgary.
