From another forum I frequent: And:
-
He's wondering where his dignity just went.

I'd probably remove the little cutout at the top of the blue circle, add "Winnepeg" to the top, and "Hockey Club" to the bottom of the circle. It's too plain right now. I always liked this guy's design...I thought the concept was really well thought out: http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/local/british-designer-makes-pitch-for-revamped-jets-logo-123983709.html

Inside the Detroit Red Wings offices: Holland: Okay, now that Ozzie's retired, we need to the address the backup 'tender slot. Whose available? Some Guy: Conklin's out there. Ray Emery. And....well...giggle...Turco. Everyone laughs for twenty minutes straight. Holland: That was genius. Bonus for you this year. Now, lets take anyone off the list that's only won in our building once in like a billion years.

Or, you know, NONE.
-
Love the fact that the NHL assigns O'Halloran to work a Wings elimination game.
-
You and me both. It's going to be offensive. REALLY offensive.
-
You mean flukey penalty. And by flukey you bogus.
-
You mean like swinging your stick at an opposing team's player in frustration, after the whistle, but not being suspended for it?
-
Well, the Habs ARE playing the Pittsburgh Sindys.
-
Well, it's still 2-to-1 PP disparity in the Sharks favor. If that makes you feel any better.
-
Exactly. The third game, I call a wash. Wings sucked that game and deserved to lose. But the first two, they got absolutely hosed by the zebras, and still only lost by one goal. San Jose, with the help they had, especially in game 2, should have obliterated them.
-
Yep. I think the Sharks are due a 5-on-3 about now.
-
I have a theory. I think all NHL refs are given "Hockey IQ" tests. The League then takes the lowest 5-10% of scorers, and lets them work the playoffs. They take the lowest 5% and put them in the review room in Toronto.
-
Well, he did trip the guy. Of course, it was after he got his face split open, but hey, who's keeping track.
-
Did it really take that long for Toronto to decide it was a goal?
-
I'm think I'm going to DVR the game, and then go back and count how many times the name Crosby is uttered in a game it has no bearing on. Anyone want to set the over/under?
-
I said almost this exact same thing to my wife heading home after yesterday's game. This is the NHL's big chance to market the game to US fans. We should be getting a STEADY stream of Kane, Parise and Miller. Commercials, endorsements, ect. What are we going to get instead? Crosby shoved in our faces times 10.

Thats one of the big things that bugs me about the way goals and assists are handled. There's no way that should have been Langenbrunner's goal. If it would have been a Canadian player, it would have been Rafalski's goal, so the train of thought should remain the same.

$15/20 is really not bad as far as paying for current player autographs goes.
-
I'm a 3D Max guy, myself. I would take a crack at it, but that's a pretty big undertaking I don't know if I have the time for. Would be neat to see some actual views from seats and what not, though.
-
TS, you ever think about doing that plan up in 3d?
-
I'm going. I have an 8x10 of the Frozen Moment pic I printed up, and, if i can get it done in time, a custom McFarlane.
-
It was a bad goal. That no one but us cares about. Kinda like the elbow to the head that caused the turnover right after the icing. As much as that sucks, it's done, time to move on.
-
Wonder if the linesmen who waved off the icing on the first goal is the same one who "helped" them out w/ the two-many-men debacle.
