Millbury and Doc=OK. Everyone else on Versus=SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSuck. Listen real close, NBC/Versus. The Red Wings fanbase is EVERYWHERE. Why else do you hear "Lets go, Red Wings" in other team's barns? The Red Wings are the Yankees/Red Sox of the hockey fan base, and it's high time you start acknowledging that.

Look, look, look. We ALL knew Malkin wasn't going to be suspended. (By all, I mean the entire f-ing planet.) But...as a league trying to gain a legitimate foothold in the nations sports attention span, they could have at least pretended to take a little while to review all the facts. Not doing so makes them look bush league, when pretty much anyone can look at the rule and interpret it two different ways.

The thing to remember is that 90% of the Pens fanbase believe they deserve to get stuff just handed to them. This includes the Cup. Anything else is going to be chalked up to luck/reffing/Flying Spaghetti Monster.

In other news, Colin Campbell and Gary Bettman were both injured in a post-game incident when they tripped over each other trying to be the first one to rescind Malkin's suspension.

Actually, there has been a noticable, at least to me, difference in the music starting about two years ago, and I go to about 7 games a year, give or take.

The funniest thing of the whole though HAD to be the NBC guy's increasing incredulity at the missed calls the Pens were getting away with. I don't think I've ever heard that.

Dammit, yes. I originally thought it was Helm, but then something popped in my mind and said it was Lebda, and thats what I typed. I fixed it.

It wasn't too bad, but then again we won. As for the Pens fans bitching about wanting a penalty shot for that Z/Ozzie thing...well, they'd have to be offsetting for the slash on Helm's breakaway then. As far as I'm concerned it was a wash. Next game though I expect to be entirely different, if the 'Stache is working the game.

Sid and Geno are NO Ryan Getzlaf. Getz would make those two cry just by looking at 'em. I would LOVE to see the Pens have to play the Ducks on a regular basis.

Ah, the great misconception. Who, exactly, ARE the soft Euros on the Wings that everyone keeps talking about? Hossa? Pretty sure I've seen him throw down a time or two. Kronwall? A guy named Havlat might take umbrage with that. Oh...wait...I got it....Lidstrom right? Is he the soft one? I'd almost be worried about that label hanging around his neck, but the other one that says "Greatest defensemen ever" covers it up pretty well.

Ah, the great divide. The more intelligent Pens fans are probably the ones that have been around since the last Cup runs, in the Mario/Jagr days. By all means, welcome. Pull up a chair and lets talk about the greatest game. The trolls and assclowns would be the new fans, the ones that have bought into the tripe the NHL has been selling them these past two or three years; that their team deserves the Cup simply by virtue of sucking enough through the late nineties/early 2000's to be rewarded with a half-decade of high draft picks, including the MOST IMPORTANT MAN IN HOCKEY. At least that's what ESPN keeps telling us we think.
