Once again, the NHL's arrogance and ineptitude continues. They KNOW there's controversy about this s***, especially after the way Watson f-ed up Game 3. Add to that, they KNOW there's been significant questions brought up, and rightly so, about Dan O'Halloran's dealings with the Red Wings. Putting him in a playoff game of this nature is just so ridiculously obnoxious. Just the fact alone that the minute we hear DanO is the ref, we're expecting at least one goal waved off, means, YES, there IS a problem. Just one more reason why, if I see Bettman on the street, I'm pushing him into traffic, for the good of all mankind.

More or less. The NHL has long established it's policy that open season on the Detroit Red Wings is perfectly fine in their eyes, and as long as those two idiots running the league are still on the job, it's not going to change. As much as it sucks because we are fans of this team, it's really nothing new, and something we should be used to by now. Like I said on another forum...it's just tiring, knowing this is coming every time.

As the season went on, they added more and more players to the video. The last bunch with DMac in it was the last added....so it's entirely possible they're not finished with it yet.

EXCELLENT! This is by far one of the best thing media wise the Wings have done. I actually sent an email not that long ago to the Wings asking them to post this online. Looks like they listened. I'm a big fan of the Danny Elfman song they used, but more than that, I just love the whole tone they used with the look of the graphics and everything. We need to see more Wings stuff done like this....like an badass/epic motif.

As far as the atmosphere was concerned, this was BY FAR the best game I went to this season...maybe ever. The crowd tonight was amazing...absolutely incredible.

If it's like most unions...their thought process is that the union seeks only to advance the will of the UNION itself, as if it was an entity unto it's own. Needs or wants of the players themselves are inconsequential, and usually a union is not against biting off it's nose to spite it's face.

Yeah. That fact alone leads me to dismiss this game entirely. Nashville is simply not capable of playing an entire period without doing SOMETHING illegal, much lone two and a half of them.

Absolutely. It's always my biggest fear when we play the Ducks...not that I'm afraid we'll get beat, I'm afraid we'll get injured. Look at the penalties they've been taking. It's not the normal New-NHL ticky tack hooking/interference calls. It's high-sticking, slashing, tripping. I'm sure before the game is out they'll rack up at least one GMC, along with a roughing or two, and maybe even a boarding, if we're (un)lucky.

Here's how I see it. Either: A) He has a vendetta/bias against the city of Detroit, the Red Wings, Tomas Holmstrom, or a combination of all three and is using his power as an official to punish them. or... B) He does not understand the rules, goaltender interference in particular, by which he is supposed to be calling games. Regardless of which one it is, he has no business being on the ice.
