If she had to be put on bed rest (shudder) I sure as hell would rather her be with family instead of in Vancouver. I've worked with many men that have been forced to be away from their families when their children were born. Sometimes they haven't been able to hold them until after a birthday has passed. It's a moment I've been twice blessed and fortunate not to have missed. Hockey is a game... families are forever.

San Jose/Phoenix... Carcillo goofs on a breakaway while Weller and Murray have a go. Weller doesn't take his lid off to match Murray being without with ample time to do so. Weller gets an early edge landing a few before hugging of dear life. Murray spends most of his time trying to get free, trying to get Weller's helmet off, or punching the back of the head. Best part though was that Carcillo saying to Gretzky that it wasn't me in a fight!

lazy D = exciting play. I see less icings and more dump-ins going to the other blue-line. How many hits to the head result in injury? Injuries from boarding? One is too many. I wonder how many other how manys I can pull out of my nether-regions? That does sound like a good best of both worlds type of fit. I think that more puck handling goalies (along with romoving the trapazoid) would greatly negate the advantage of icing on the PK.

I'd say the top two in the league come out of the west, but so are 6 of the bottom 10. IMO the West has more have/have-not teams whereas the east has more parity throughout. Add into it that the East has won 3 of the last four cups... But to shoot my own opinion in the foot... 6 teams have winning records in the east vs the west. 10 teams having a winning record in the west vs the east. Only Chicago has a losing record vs the east.
