Did I say one dang thing about Simon or Bertuzzi? Nope didn't think so. But I did call you out and heck yeah I was being smart about it. You upset because of the language you can't hear (normally) and gestures children can see. Ok no problem. If it's your kid in question then educate and explain why that's bad or don't let them watch. It's not the league's, or tv's for that matter, job to filter what children see. That would be yours. Tough, debatable. an ass... proud of it.

Don't watch most pro sports do you or should I say listen? That's more common than your think, although another league did recently ban throat swiping. Are you expecting tea and crumpets or something? I believe in the old adage of "that's hockey, eh?" at least for verbal and most of the physical stuff.

It shows how important national TV deals, advertising, and marketing of it's players is to taking a healthy league to a higher level. But that's just my opinion.

According to http://teammarketing.com/# Ave Ticket/Fan Cost Index NHL $48.72/$282.95 NBA $48.83/$281.90 NFL $67.11/$367.31 MLB $22.77/$176.55 Seems like it's good to be the king.

Completely killed Philly. They were still in WTF mode when the slugs went up 4-2. A bunch of bullsh... is what it is.
-
I believe it was a marketing/production thing. Allow RBK enough time to produce a surplus of the mains then add in the alternates.

So I'm watching versus Philly/Slugs game and Miller takes exception to a swack from Hartnell for a loose puck. They exchange glove swipes before a pileup ensues. The annoucer said Miller "came out of his crease like a spider monkey." Biron comes out to the blueline but doesn't cross it. Soon after, Tallinder is checked into the boards, cleanly, by Upshall and has to be helped off the ice. Should be a chippy last two periods.

This game has the potential still.

Technically it's 6.466%, but who's counting Better than .500 from here on out to even sniff at the playoffs. linkage

I'd expect most teams that had them before to have them again within two years.
-
I doubt it. Not with as much crap as Dipietro went through for switching to non-inspected pads before a game. Sadly his pads are legal. I hope they fix it but, scared to hear what the results will be. Side note: Most of NASCAR's 50ish page rulebook covers equipment specs and there are still loopholes.

It's gotta be to watch the Islanders play

You can find him hiding behind a ref like they were his momma.

still here, but I dislike Fedorov more so...

Downey's having a career year. Most NHL games in a season and tied his best for PIM. However, He's always been a semi-regular and I happy he's gotten the playing time he has.
-
He could have. Judging by the picture he'll turn, what, 14 next year? Why is it most hockey players look like they're in junior high when drafted?
-
I disliked those tests very much. But they were the deciding factor for my surgery because my MRI was unclear on my ACL tear.

bad luck, bad genes, and bad diet in some mixture. One more back

Next time bettman goes to congress about steroids, perhaps he should take Kane with him as proof.

Sorry if it's been done, but I didn't see it. Once everyone's healthy and McCarty is deemed worthy it'll look something like this: Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Cleary-Filppula-Samuelsson (Because Sammy just can't leave the second line) Hudler-Draper-Franzen Maltby-Kopecky-Drake/Downey/McCarty Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart Chelios-Lilja Lebda/Meech Hasgood/Ossek That puts them at 24 players. Because Cleary will be back in the line-up near playoff time do we say goodbye to Downey? Is there a chance that Meech may be exposed? Are Kopecky, Lilja or Lebda eligible? Well?
-
If most of the current RFA/UFAs don't resign before 1 Jul. I don't think that the top-6 forward is going to happen. Especially since a 4 mil top six forward signing might not been seen again until the cap falls. It wouldn't surprise me to see Cleary get bumped into the 3.1mil range either after the past two seasons. I like that Downey's coming back too. (Matt: we need finger crossed emotions)
-
Didn't really have room for Ellis and by the looks of it, should McCarty be deemed worthy at the end of his conditioning stint that'll put them at 24. I guess nobody wanted to give up a pick for Samuelsson. Kidding fellas Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Cleary-Filppula-Franzen Hudler-Draper-Samuelsson Maltby-Kopecky-Drake/Downey/McCarty Lidstrom-Rafalski Kronwall-Stuart Chelios-Lilja/Lebda Meech Hasgood Like the D more now. Offense is still a little too streaky. Here's to good streak timing Still don't like Holland, but I'll save that for later. It looks like Downey or Meech will be on the waiver wire soon.
-
Now comes the next question... When will the wings free agents resign? I'm going to hope that it happens before the playoffs. At least Cleary, Howard, and a couple others. It's gonna be a really grumpy offseason around lgw if we don't at least hear about talks in the works before Jul 1 if not much sooner.

Sane and rational post. I like it.
-
Status quo for him in the salary cap era. Edit: it's almost like he's too gun shy now to make big deals. Like he's afraid to make a bad move in the cap era. Could Holland precap > Holland Postcap ? He's got two more seasons of capped hockey before true judgment could be made. I still stand by my opinion that I don't like him regardless and ironically happy that Hossa, Fed and Foote are elsewhere for various reasons.
