By best you mean at most #3 or 4 on the list right? Behind Probert, Kocur, and possibly Grimson yeah? Back to youtube to remember the good times

Have you not see his play post lock-out? Or is it that your soooo hoping that it's 1997 all over again? There are reasons that he was bought out of his contract by Detroit. There are reasons that he wasn't resigned by the Flames. There are reasons that he has struggled since the lockout. It's great that he's playing hockey again (for him to earn a living) but to hand him a roster spot because he's going to attempt a comeback in a league that's auguably three teirs below the NHL??? Even worse before he's even played a game this year? If this was any other 35 year old player he would be getting crucified for not hanging them up and playing past his prime.

Fuel in the tank doesn't count for much when the tranny's shot and the engine isn't firing on all cylinders.

Unless Hasek comes back as a number 2, which I doubt. Osgood/Howard because we can't afford another to get another goalie to tandem with or backup to Osgood. I don't know I just don't see Howard making it though.

saw this in the link rage posted tsn.ca So how many is that this year? 4-5? I don't remember this happening so often in seasons past, or at least hearing about it.

In light of the recent steroid issues in baseball. NHL head, Gary Bettman, called in a know drug expert. When asked about it, the skinny Snoop acknowledged that the only performance drugs he knows are for recreational bedroom use. For shizzle

Lack of depth kills cup runs quick and by the looks of it. Quincey (if eligible) and Downey are the two depth guys. Oh and I guess Meech too. IMO that's just not good enough. It's better to have a Plan B and not need it than be left with a steaming pile of plan a only.

second for Marsh edit: last Detroit season was 1992

Saving it for next game maybe? Hell sounds like we might get a two-fer next game.

oops perhaps Czech out the Finnish of te Swedish European hug campaign?

and chris osgood just died a little bit more from missing out on another Swedish hug.

had him earlier in the week, but dropped him for cleary because I needed a winger. Too bad I'm getting ready to drop Cleary because I need a LW more... grrr Oh you could do what one of the guys in my fantasy league is doing and change most your roster nightly. It's annoying me but it's working. He's 24-3-3 last three weeksand is climbing fast.

Having had a deep knee bruise or two... because of the location it takes a while for the bruise to go away. Many times the majority of the bruising is inside the bones themselves. The nice (?) thing about this injury is there aren't normally the type to cause something else and doesn't change the structure of the knee like a tear might.

meh... see sig.

So... looking at NHLnumbers FA list... Holik Dupuis Foote Fed Peca Blake Brisebois Comrie and half of TB's team might all be had on the cheap, but most the league knows what we need and what we have so deadline deals might not come as cheap. (Just scanning names not really looking to hard so don't kill me)

Cleary and Flip are my two question marks, but because of who the other forward free agents are it shouldn't be a problem. Hell, the Chelios, Quincey, and Lilja souldn't be hard to resign either.
-
Unlikely, but then again I'm basing that on the "Yzerman needs 1 more season" threads Anyone else notice that the article calls out Samuelsson? I'm thinking he'll be gone by the deadline.

Holmstrom being out that long for a deep knee bruise... IMÉ he'll be coming back early.

Link was just updated with the details... still sweet for both sides. Shannyfan, They are already predicting the cap to jump up again like it did this last offseason so I wouldn't lose sleep over resigning him. Est. $34.9 Mil tied up on 13 skaters as of this signing for next year. Edit: Details

Hextall was the first to shot and score, but Billy Smith was credited with a goal in '79

I don't know superbowl sunday.... during the 15 hours of pregame actually might work well for a something else. As for Jan 1st. I'll predict better ratings than the SCF, but less than 5 minutes on Sportscenter. I'm not sure it matters when the NHL does an outdoor game as far as the states are concerned because by the time it's cold enough the US sports world is too tied up in NFL and college football and any day is a fight for airtime.

Dang rough week. Went 4-4-2 against the second place team in my league and dropped 500 spots in the overall...
