signing maltby wouldn't have been a bad thing if they were willing to trade him. But since packaging our 3/4 liners to fill needs, here's to hoping that one of the kids can make the final step to the second line.

team they hate vs. team they meh? oh and as a side not about losing money.... majority of the league's revenue comes from Canada again. Even the "poor" Oilers had to put money in the pool for the less fortunate teams last season.

1. Wil Kronwall reach #1/#2 Dman status within his current contract (next 5 years)? - No too many injuries during development. Second pair man. 2. Will Grigorenko prove to be a capable top 6 forward this season? - Impact but much of the second line will be by committee. I foresee many players rotating through the lines(not a bad thing right now). 3. Will Hudler score 20+ goals this season? - No but will be in the teens. 4. Will Filppula have a 45pt season? - Possibly 5. Will Lilja get in more than 5 fights? - If he does he'll be sent to GR or another NHL team before he leaves the box. Such things aren't tolerated by Red Wings players 6. Will Rafalski have a career offensive year? - Same points better +/- 7. Who will be the alternate captains when Zetterberg gets the C? - Holmstrom and Datsyuk 8. Does Cleary turn out to be a one hit wonder, or does he repeat with another 20+ goal showing? - mid-teens 9. What one forward, that is an 08 UFA as of now, would you like to see the Wings get at the deadline? - too much bad mojo surrounding deadline picks the last few seasons, but prob a Dman if they're healthy otherwise. 10. Of the players whose contracts expire in either 08 or 09, which ONE top 6 winger and ONE top 4 Dman (both in the 3M-5M range) and which ONE bottom six player (less than 2M) would you like to see the Red Wings sign? - Laraque, (I'm expecting good things points wise for him this year) others I'll have to think about.

I have a feeling that the logo didn't change, but that it was an idiot that did the setup for the picture. Also the new jerseys shown look like they have that pressed hanger look to them still. I have a feeling they'll look much better in person, but who ever got paid to take that picture should never be allowed to touch a camera again. BTW it's $130 for the REPLICA... aka "Premier" in the new RBK generation. Bright side is that it's cheaper than Boston's. No team is selling authentic ones yet. Looks like I'm going to jump on a flight to Korea. I am disappointed though that we don't have piping since it's all the rage this year Edit: I wish we could see the back of them. I'd like to know if there is room for an arched name.

Guess I should have added more than " " to show a funny. Next time though I'll be more responsible and do something like this: Attempt at a joke to follow Insert funny zinger here Joke has past, please continue

Because we used to have enforcers and top six wingers to spare.

Each team pays for the travel expenses, to include airfare, hotel, and $94 a day for food for everyone traveling "officially" with the team.

Swap LA and Edmonton for Minn and either Columbus or Nashville and you have a deal. Colorado, Minn, and Dallas is the new West coast swing!
-
I don't know. Everything official that's been released hasn't even hinted that. The fact that he'll have more say and ownership % in the team could be why he came on board. Plus he's like the veteran player that helps the new guys getting adjusted to NHL life and I think this will get him one step closer to getting his own team in KC down the road. probably through expansion but won't be Nashville if they move a team.

Utah Utes are a better. Enjoy the game and the uniqueness that is Utah.

Congrats Legionnaire

We won this one too. Link Good for Detroit and Michigan. Best sport state in the union.

...think dead Wings giving cars away.

Related question... is the believe patch still hanging in the rafters?
-
I would not be surprised if they have piping on them that's shown in the picture instead of the band along the bottom. :puke: However the safer bet would be looking at Boston's uni's to devine what ours may look like. I'm picturing either one of two things... (discription is of White, reverse for darks) Red shoulders panel (like Boston's dark) and red lower sleeves starting at about the elbow. Narrower red band circling near the bottom. or White shoulder panel. Red sleeves with narrower white band below the elbow. Narrower red band circling near the bottom. Either way I'd perfer an arched name across the back. I haven't seen a new jersey yet with an arch for names, just straight across the back. It's Augusst already (almost)... you'd think most teams would have released what thier new jerseys looked like by now, but we've seen what? A quarter of the teams make an offical release?
-
Ferderov would also be the cheaper of the two choices by the time we would be able to aquire either of them. Forsberg is still too young for an incentive laden contract and is still looking by all accounts to be looking for $3.5mil+ a season... or should I say the playoffs given his history?
-
I wonder if the recent drama has had anything to do with the NHL talking to ESPN? Bet they took the HNIC average ratings compared to the highest rating for a NBA game thid year just to try and make themselves look good and show the "potential".
-
I thought that was Lou?
-
Have you seen what the organization's marketing department has put out? Those folks would be the same ones that develop a 3rd jersey and scares the crap out of me :puke: But like I said, the '92 special or even the Starter black I wouldn't be bad at all. Matter of fact I own a both. But the players will look Hefty in them. New jerseys... now with forceflex!

Chance of becoming a Wing? 5% Chance of retiring 35% Chance of returning to Colorado 40% Chances of returning to one of his other former teams 20% His returning to Colorado would be for the same reasons as Fedorov returning to Detroit. To say goodbye and finish were he was treated the best. BTW at he's too young to be offered an incentive laden contract, so is he worth dumping $3.5mil minimum into that he'll still command? I rather go how we are.
-
their reference is from here. The overage is calculated if every player that the Wings signed were brought up this season. This includes the Griffin signings as well as the others like Koopmans (who I think is one team below AHL yes?) Don't Panic

After reading this. I think that Burke might be pissed that a friend, being Lowe, didn't give him a head's up.

West: 1. Detroit 2. San Jose 3. Vancouver 4. Anaheim 5. Minnesota 6. St. Louis 7. Dallas 8. Nashville East: 1. Ottawa 2. Atlanta 3. NYR 4. Pittsburgh 5. Tampa Bay 6. Toronto 7. Philadelphia 8. Florida

I was answering this question. So again I would rather spend money on a FA goalie then a Spezza or Heatly type player who will also be offered the league max. edit: to remove jerk remark
