Ummm... for future discussions can I get a definition of classless, grit, dirty, and classy as it applies to this forum? Oh and please no Team/Player examples for definitions Edited to add words to definition wish list

Legionnaire, Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Leipold and Co. screw the city over a few times before the pledge as well? If memory serves me correctly even the arena deal in general is heavily favoring to him and not the city? Also if I remember right he wanted the city to build him a new practice facility on their dollar. I know he whine's often to the league and has been looking for any league handouts he can get. Hope your team stays with better ownership and RIM gets an expansion. I have a feeling that'll help much of your support problems

Makes me glad that I left the state when I did. Everyone I work with complains about what their home state is doing, until I tell them about Michigan. :nonono: When I first went away I thought that I might move back after my first retirement. Now I'm starting to think that there'll be very little left to come back to besides family. It wouldn't surprise me if the government taxes all the sports out of Michigan before too long, along with smokers, drinkers, hunters, drivers, and workers.

Thank the gods that his whiny, back-dooring, city-screwing, pan-handling ass is going to be gone soon.

Yup Latest fix Still like wooden sticks

Yeay they do. They need to take the numbers off the front... but that's just my pet peave
-
Yeah he's really ticking off the owners with his playing both sides. I wouldn't be surprised that his purchase gets denied.

Gettysburg South Dakota 5.50 for a gallon of 2% two years ago.

Having almost no hair was one of the nice things about being in Southern Miss all the times I've been there. Now the "death march/sleepwalk" three times a day my first visit made me appreciate cars and a/c all the more. Congrats BTW on resigning Moen and Parros already

There are worse places to be stationed... hope the best for you during the summer storm season. <<<Hint

Yup many unis won't let you site it as a reference anymore because just about anybody can change it and it's only mostly acurate

On a side note: Until Joey Harrington was drafted, Barry Sanders was the most common jersey sold. As far as finding NHL money numbers... better luck finding Hoffa

Agreed. I think I made it sound like NFL bashing in my post, but it was ment more to show how they're similar and poke a little fun at each other too. Even maybe give football fans something to watch Tues-Fri nights. You may even be able to do it with other sports as well, but I think football would be the best bet to try this partnership with.

Serious Talks Of Expansion...And The Wings Moving East

Never underestimate the stupidity of people, especially in large numbers. In this day and age I don't think that Vegas gambling is the temptation that it used to be with the internet, cheaper flights, and what not... but it sure was fun there -
They're down even more than the SCF's so far.

nope not dumb, just a lawyer. BTW he just got a 2mil pay raise.
-
Personally I don't like then because they seem to break more often... but that might just be short term memory instead of fact.
-
If I remember right they are supposed to be changing theirs as well. I think it's supposed to be a hybrid of their retro and navy jerseys.

The mall... and Brass Bonanza. If the bring a team back they have to bring the Brass. The song was even my cell's ringer for a long time... -
My first game... I remember it was against St. Louis and Chevy was in goal, but that's about it. Ironically, my wife's first game was also against St Louis in 2004.

I like it. I think it'll help instill the right way to go about it as well. Teach'em the right way so they don't learn it wrong. I also think it could be a good camp for the more point oriented kids as well so they know how to tie-up somebody when they'ra in over their head.

I do believe that the NHL needs to improve marketing and a couple other things. However, with that said, It is my opinion/realization that worrying about ratings (I think it's mentioned in 10-20 threads here alone) Takes away from what the Stanley Cup is all about. It's about the most sacred trophy in team sports and the battles to proudly hoist it over your head and have your name added those who came before you. If it was about the ratings then... :nonono:

think there would be enough action for a pick'em thread of him stopping?
-
Not so much... but that's not really based on anything factual, just me not liking him the first go-around either. Although isn't he the last goalie to be drafted by the Wings to actually make fully to the show?

I was thinking about this on the drive home from work. It could evolve into interesting cross-promotion. For instance... show a receiver getting creamed going across the middle, fade into Holstrom. "If you think that's a hit check this out" and go into either some good hits or Holstrom getting beaten up in front of the goal. Show a one handed catch and have Crosby or Datsyuk come in with "that's skill but this is talent. Enter pretty goal montage. Reverse it with Oveckin's (?) on his back goal and show a great catch montage... Neither league would go for it but it's an idea
