Dear God I'm afraid of the rule changes the NHL/compition commitee are going to make this off season...
-
from foxsports Goodbye to Lang Kalder Samuelsson via Trade Bootland Norton Hello to McGratton/Laraque via Trade Grigorenko Sarich Insert AHLer here One other forward that I can't decide on On the fence Bertuzzi (Depends on money wanted) Markov (Ditto) Hasek (Ditto plus retirement) Schneider (How bad is his injury?) Lines (Always sucked at this) Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Holmstrom Bertuzzi-Filppula-Hudler Cleary-Draper-Maltby Kopekcy-Franzen-McGratton/Laraque Grigs Lids-Quincey Cheli-Lebda Lilja-Sarich Kronwall, Kindl, Ericcson Hasek? / Osgood / Howard I'm not a fan of Osgood, never was. However, I wouldn't be upset to see Osgood and Howard to start the season and pick up a rent-a-goalie near the trade deadline if needed. Also, I don't think that we'll see Howard play much as a Wing... like most our goalie up and comers over the recent years. editied to add from Dominator2005 sig line and give a reason to get him...

I think that they're still figuring out what the city's portion of the build is going to be. I expect we'll know before the end of summer though.

The NHL is losing many of it's traditions... and this one shows how classy the players are. He should have shaked hands this year and he should have shaked hands in 2003. ::edit for spelling::

After your team is eliminated...who do you root for?
vangvace replied to Yzermaynard's topic in General
Alright, I like the ducks because they fight but I hate a couple players. I like the Sens because it snows there, but I hate a couple of their players too. Either way hopefully more enforcers will b around next year -
But the Sens also took the POW to their dressing room with them cancelling out that positive mojo.

Should Sergei Fedorov's number be retired in the future?
vangvace replied to Chaldean's topic in General
Outside of Detroit he will be remembered as a NHL player that spent alot of time in Detroit. Those in the rafters are remembered as Red Wings first, NHL players second. -
Optomsitic about tomorrow, but I won't watch the game. Bad mojo if I watch... so I'll check out foxsports and hope.

this might sound silly but what about OKC?
-
Here's a good reason that the NHL wouldn't want the Ducks in the finals... they lead the league in fighting majors this year. Since many teams copy the winners during the off-season you would see a return of old tyme hockey instead of this new NHL crap

Salt Lake City might be a good fit but there are at least three things holding them back... 1) All their sports teams play at home on Sunday or not at all. 2) Despite the devoted, hockey isn't overly popular. The minor league team (Grizzlies) dropped from the AHL to ECHL due to money problems. Also many folks out that way are more of the outdoorsy type. 3) It gets melt your face off hot before the playoffs are over, and doesn't normally get cold enough for pond hockey. Three pluses... 1) Once they like you your golden. 2) Most of the state gladly welcomes outsiders and there is a large culture base. 3) They have money. Houston makes sense to me if for no other reason then to give them the fourth "major" sport. Winnipeg and Quebec shouldn't have lost their teams to begin with... Vegas would prob have the best shot. They can have Casinos comp tickets too the games. KC is a football town and nothing is going to change that (even if the fans there are fiercely loyal) I couldn't say about Portland despite being there twice.

According to Wings fans... no According to the rest of the NHL's fans... yes Then again the other sites I visit are pro-hockey fighting so they're very biased against the Wings/Euro players/new NHL
-
Yzerman anf Probert Kocer award (TKO or KO of the year) Probert award (Fighter of the year) and more can be found here Almost unrelated to this topic but... why is it you can find dozens of sites dedicated to fighting but none to this "new NHL"?
-
Stolen From elsewhere to give more food for thought
-
Don't forget also that the instigator penalty was created and that "system" play began really ramping up during this same time.
-
hahahahahaha :rotflmao: Now I'm coming to a sad realization... cancel or allow?
-
old NHL and Wings of the past. = scrums New NHL = Standing around and doing nothing, "soccer on ice", and cheap shots/stickwork. On a side note if Parros is in the line-up for Game 4 I worry for the Wings. He might not be around for long but
-
hahahahaha everyone on sportcenter is blasting smelrose... saying ballplayers are making "hasek like" saves.
-
excuses for the ducks, four goals, Homer's hit, and Hasek's saves... must have been a bitter pill for Smellrose (Duck Fan BTW)
-
I predict two goals and the hit on Homer on sportscenter tonight... pluus maybe a scrape at the end?
-
oh, anybody know if niedermayer had a game misconduct during the playoffs already? If so then automatic 1 game suspension plus what the league may hand down.
-
Sorry if this is a repeat I skipped a couple pages, Niedermayer did also pick up a Game Misconduct
-
They're there... ever time the Wings score
-
found it funny the amount of cheering after the goal lol

I came really close to buying some of the old dasher boards a few years back. I was planning on making a bar out of it. Didn't have a place to store it though until I was ready. I've bought some small things there, but I find it hard to pay the prices for alot of it.
