Illitch needs to get his head out of his ass and lower ticket prices. I distinctly remember him saying that Detroit had higher ticket prices because we had a higher payroll then most teams in the league before the salary cap. Now this I could understand when the Wings were spending 60-70 million a seaon to put all star lineups on the ice. But now in the era of a hard cap there is just no excuse. Illitch is being greedy and it is showing, 2 non sellouts of playoffs games is unheard of in Detroit. Sure the economy is bad and that it playing a huge part as well, but either way the ticket prices are way overpriced, hopefully Illitch wakes up and realizes this for next season.

I just hope the nonsellouts this year send a message to Illitch that playoff tickets are overpriced. Even a $5-10 difference per ticket would be huge, a $63 standing room only ticket would be $53 which would be more reasonable IMO. And really I am talking about rounds 1 and 2, after that jack the prices up all you want, that is understandable. But doubling prices in the first round is just insane.

I really dont know how more people arent cut by skate blades..........I mean Homers face is right near Kippers blade and of course when Homer finishes falling there his skates are going to come up near the two Calgary players faces........insane.

Something doesnt add up here.........the NHL to my knowledge has NEVER split the playoffs between 3 days. And according to the schedule posted Sunday's game is a game 3 not game 2. So maybe the wings will play the afternoon game on Saturday at 3pm and start the playoffs Thursday. Guess we will find out in a few hours.......

Well if Holland was right we start Wednesday night then: "4/15 1:00 PM Conference Quarterfinals Game 3" This would be Wings/Flames game 3 Also this would be nice for us that cant stay up super late during the week to watch the playoff games, Im hoping this is true.

Just checked last years schedule and they had 4 teams each night, so we can basically count on the Wings starting Wed or Thurs night. My money is on Wednesday night

I agree, it has to be either Wed or Thurs, I dont remember the NHL having 3 start days it was always 2 days. So actually if Holland was right about NBC on Sunday then the Wings would start Wednesday as well. Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday

They just said on NBC that Dallas and Vancouver are playing Wednesday...........so somebody has the schedule, but they probably wont release it until after the Islanders game

Totally disagree, Maltby in my mind has gone from a valuable player to the team, to a wasted roster spot for a young guy. Maltby used to be an aggitator and was very good at it, he would draw penalties left and right. But this year and last he has lost his edge, most likely due to getting older. He just doesnt play with passion like he used to and it shows, I watch him when he's out there and he just looks lost IMO. I know I mispelled Samuelson in my last post because honestly I dont care enough to spell it correctly, he is worse than even Maltby taking soft shot after soft shot that has ZERO chance of going in. I honestly dont know which guy I dislike most......and dont even get me started on Lang. I also disagree with people ragging on Kronwall, was he horrible in the beginning of the season before he got cut with a skate and had to wear that cage? I have a feeling that cage is 99% of his problem.........yes I agree he has been bad the last few weeks, but once that cage comes off I bet he will snap back into form.
