I know Jiggy's pads aren't illegal, but honestly, he looks SO muffing LARGE in front of net-- the Incredible Bulk. I still don't think he's all that (unless a big ol' wall is all that), but he's making the needed stops in a WCF, by gosh. That has to mean there's something good going on there somewhere and I honestly don't believe it's ONLY the pads.

Respectfully disagree. 1) The world has always been a dangerous place, and things such as movies, music, dance, hobbies, and yes, sports, distract us from the dreck and grind of everyday life-- at their best, they uplift us and inspire us. That's no small thing, precisely BECAUSE 35,000 people will die tonight or an atom might split. 2) 35,000 people will still die tonight even if hockey had never been invented. 3) For the sake of argument, can you show me scientific proof that positive thinking and positive energy do NOT have power? 3) Most people need to believe in something. And it's not "blind" faith if someone happens to believe that a very good hockey team has a fair chance of beating a team who has shown itself to be the lesser ("lesser," at least in that someone's opinion, and that of many unbiased onlookers). Telling people who are passionate about their partisanship on a fan board to get a life is the quintessential definition of trolling, but far, FAR worse than that, it's SOOO last decade. I appreciate your mysticism-- I've been feeling it too, a little bit. For me, I keep hearkening back to '96-- in fact, when Homer got steamrolled, all I could think of was "Oh noooo, It's Kris all over again." Plus I dislike the Ducks nearly as much as I did the Avs back then, and Pronger's been up there in my Top 5 of despised players since he was with the Blues. The 5-0 blowout was reminicent of Roy meltdown as well. Deja voodoo..... Maybe we're meant to move on this series, maybe we have to wait until next year for revenge-- either way, something IS going on here for sure. This has been an incredible ride, glad I get to tag along with the lads in red sweaters.

I absolutely loathe how Jiggy's coming out like the hero in this. Yeah, he IS making the stops, but they aren't remotely "great saves"-- he's just a big over-padded gigantoid wall in front of that net. You cannot beat him with a point-blank SOG-- he's too big, and further, fuggeddabout the rebounds, they go straight into his bulk. Our lads need to get tricky to beat him, and they just aren't doing that. Hate to admit it, but probably some of that is because of *cough* Nieds and *gag* Prrr...Ppppprrooo... Pppppprrrrrrrrrrroooooooo... He Who Shall Not Be Named..

I'm more angry about the FOUR TIMES Dux had too many men on the ice. Not one was called. I realize that it doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things, but hey, rules are rules.... except when they aren't. I'm just sick... the Dux should have been on PK nearly the entire game, but I guess that would look like the refs/NHL are out to get Anaheinous after the Pronger incident, and that would look bad for the sport, considering this was a game that eeven the idlest of channel surfers could watch. Don't wanna make the game look bad to potential consumers, doncha know-- doesn't matter how it affects the people who actually DO spend $$ on the sport-- nooooo, it's all about The Almighty Marketing. I'm NOT in favor of blaming refs, the NHL, or some random conspiracy theory for losses, but damn... just damn... it's really hard to not.
