Holdin' it down in the great city of Chicago, IL and letting them know this is Wings country! GO WINGS!
-
Are there any Chi-town Wings fans around here?
-
Should be a good one tonight! See ya at the United Center!
-
definitely. looks like there are alot of weekend wings/hawks games at the UC, i'll be planning on hitting up at least 1 or 2 of them for sure.
-
While the schedule sucks as a whole, there are plenty of weekend Wings/Hawks games being played at the UC which is great for me! Look for me there, I'll be the guy wearing Detroit red!
-
Apparently I'm late to the party but its horrible, this decision.
-
Hahahahahahaha No. And if they are, no one here would notice or be able to watch it.
-
Sounds about right to me. I'm very excited to see what he can do next season.

Awesome idea, wish more boards did it. (This message was produced by Spambot 2000) jk

Should Sergei Fedorov's number be retired in the future?
ChitownWingsfan replied to Chaldean's topic in General
Gotta go with no. I appreciate everything Federov did for the Wings, I really do, but hanging a number up is reserved to the best of the best, those that made the biggest impact on the sport and the team - in essence, Red Wing Royalty. Federov is not that. -
Honestly, can you be a Redwings fan & a Blackhawks fan at the same
ChitownWingsfan replied to planzwrecker's topic in General
I'm gonna go with no. Unless you are Chris Chelios, I guess. -
I can't believe the awards were last night and I forgot to watch or tape them! *kicks dirt* Congrats to Lids and Dats. Very deserving

<----- Wishes he was off work too. Too hungover.

Serious Talks Of Expansion...And The Wings Moving East
ChitownWingsfan replied to Sleight's topic in General
1. Expansion is such a bad idea, if it happens, I'll vomit. 2. Love the idea of a team in Portland and Vegas, no such much in KC. But again, it can't be expansion, someone needs to move. 3. Detroit to the East needs to happen, regardless of how far east Nashville or Columbus might be. And the West won't have a big draw if the Wings move to the East? Didn't the Ducks just win the Cup? If hockey is truly alive and well in Cali, they should be able to sustain it without Detroit in the West. -
Having seen NHL games in Detroit, Chicago and Washington, I've never once heard the Canadian anthem booed. Then again, I'm also pretty sure they don't play it in Chicago and Washington.
-
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely have to check out the Gin Mill during hockey season (since it sounds like I wouldn't be welcomed there any other time than that haha)
-
My thoughts exactly. I can't help but feel alittle sick about it, whether its rational to think that way or not. But its over now, most of SoCal will probably forget by the Friday night anyway.

Meant Alfredsson
-
I want Don Cherry's suit. Right. Now. Also, Niedermeyer doesn't need to do stupid crap like that. The Ducks had basically handed the Sens (and Wings and just about every other teams in the playoffs) the moral highground and Alfredsson just gave it back to them.
-
I dont think the expansion to St Paul and Nashville has been bad for the most part. However if I were Bettman, I'd move Atlanta to Portland or Seattle, Columbus to Cleveland where there are actually, you know, people and move Detroit to the East Conference.
-
Hahaha love seeing Bettman get pwned in public, especially by Fox Sports, of all people. Seriously though, there is absolutely no reason why the NHL shouldn't be one of the premier league in North America, and on ESPN at least once a week, if not more. If I can turn on FOX and watch cars driving or ESPN and watching bass fishing, I should be able to catch a hockey game without jumping though hoops, which is exactly what watching on Vs is. Then again, I live in a town where the home team can't even broadcast their home games so what does that say?
