It would be awesome if you could give it a smaller trial run, like say a week or two. That way you could see what things are like out there right now, and if you miss home and your family too much, its only a few weeks not 6 months.

I understand that, my family is huge to me too. Its up to you Lizz, if you're looking for a change in your life, not many things will be much bigger than this. Its just taking that jump. You've got til January, so you don't have to make a decision today, this week or probably even this month. Just take your time with it.

Ok, why don't you want to go? True friends will be with you no matter what, and will be here when you get back. AND. This could be an opportunity to exert yourself and make new friends. Yeah you won't have a car there, but with warm weather there, you could walk, roller blade or ride a bike to places you want to go.
