The ref blew his whistle at the same time dats took his shot and being blind he didn't see the puck already in mid air (Although he was right in front of it....) So since he didn't see the shot take place at the time of blowing his whistle, no goal.

The Blackhawks deserved that win. They played amazing well, and I would actually like to say congrats to you and your team. We can tell just by watching tonights game that Kane is going to be something amazing. You gotta admit the hawks haven't been so good in the past, and from past standings, people do get cocky. We were looking for a win tonight, we were more upset that our team took an early lead and gave it away, than we were about the hawks stepping up the game and taking the win. People were giving credit to Kane and Lang for their goals. To be honest with you if this is only a preview of things to come, i'm looking forward to the rest of the season. Its about time the games start becoming interesting especially when we're playing each other 8 times a season.

As said in a previous post probably 10-15 years ago. The last time i can remember was probably 10 years ago when Stevie Y and Federov came to Caesarland in waterford on two different occassions. I was probably about 10 at that time. I Had been standing in line all afternoon and evening with my dad waiting to get Yzerman's autograph and we didn't get to meet him til about 10pm, but he didn't leave until everyone had come through the line and even at 10pm he was still nice to everyone, gave them a smile and a hug for those who wanted one. Its not that the Wings no longer have players like Yzerman who would do something like that, but the corporation no longer offers events like that.

Actually with the way they've advertised it, im sure they will still get plenty of people down there who were hoping to get the $9 seats, but will stomache paying the cost just because they already made the drive.

has anyone tried calling the joe box office to see if there are $9 tickets left? I tried calling but no answer. Just wanted to know if anyone has got an answer or if im gonna have to drive down there to possibly find out that there are none left. Scratch that. Finally got ahold of someone and there are no $9 tickets left. Since I'm already going to next wednesdays game, and paid a bit more for those suckers, I guess i'm gonna be at home watching them on VS (ughhh)

i want to go. Probably will call ahead to see if any $9 dollar seats are left and go from there. Try and pursuade my dad to go see two in a week. ( We're already going to the game vs calgary.)

There are certain things you can do to avoid spending a ton on concessions. Eat an early dinner and you won't have to worry about buying pizza , nachos, cotton candy, nuts and the whole nine yards. That really limits you down to getting a drink to moisten the throat after all the screaming. Yeah the drinks are pretty overpriced. 2.50 for a small pop was the price during playoffs last year, but you're only paying for a drink instead of a meal.

It would be great if they offered the $9 tickets on ticketmaster. Even with all their extra charges. Many people either have their season tickets package or buy their tickets online. Its convienent in a world where we have to work 9-6pm everyday to put food on the table and pay the bills and im sure people would be willing to buy more tickets and take the family and friends that way instead of having to take time off, go down to the joe, buy the tickets, ect.... Think about it. 2- $22 dollar tickets.... Thats almost the equivelent of 5- $9 dollar tickets (even thought they only allow you to buy 2-$9 tickets at a time.), and if you take a wild guess, they're probably the same seats. If i had the time to go all the way down to the joe to buy the tickets, my dad, my friend, my boyfriend, my cousin and i all would have been able to go down to enjoy the game together, but i'm already going to be racing down to the joe on October 10th as it is because i have class all day and don't get out until 5 and live an hour away. Convience is key!!!!!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!

I agree 100%. Babs is a lot like Scotty. Since Scotty was so loved, what i don't think people realize is that Scotty was also a "my way or the highway" kinda guy.

confusion of new rules, biased, inept..... Probably a bit of all three, but more so biased and inept. I mean i'm sure there is a little bit of confusion with the new rules, especially after spending so many years calling games according to the old rules, but these things aren't that hard to pick up on. Really with the linesmen and the referee, hockey should be similar to baseball. If the home plate umpire can't make a call, do to the fact that he didn't see it or it was a bad angle, then there should be a 1st or 3rd base umpire to help make the call. (Granted this doesn't always happen in baseball either) If the linesmen or the referee can't make a call, then the other one should be there to help make a decision. This should dramatically cut down on unseen penalties, that is IF the refs aren't biased or inept.

Keep the Joe and make improvements to it, or build the new areana and have everything be brand new. I'm sure ultimately Illitch will make the right decision, but what would you do?
