Can't speak for the others, but I'm always willing to drive to meet up with people. Thats why I drive to Mt. Clemens to meet up with everyone else. How far would you be willing to drive Lizz?
-
Yeah that was part of the thought process as well. So Swayze, are you up for a drive to hang out with fellow Wings fans? I see you're from Flint and I know thats a bit of a drive to Mt. Clemens. I'm from Clarkston and it usually takes me 30- 45 minutes, but its always worth the trip.

I realized that after I posted it. I was caught up in the whole first meeting thing. So everyone note, I have A.D.D. it is actually the second game of the season.
-
If only that is all it would take to get in for free.
-
sportsk.com They do great work for a good price. They are the only people I've ever bought jerseys from.
-
Might take a little more than that. I've built my tolerance up a little. And you're suppose to say whether or not you like candles, person below me from 4 posts ago!!

If I were following you, do you think I would tell you?

yep just replaced my ink cartridge the other day... and I was up in Lewiston over labor day weekend too. Went to Tally's, Bob's, The Villager and hung out on Tee Lake. TPBM enjoys candles.

Free tickets to families experiencing hardships
redwingslady87 replied to VladyIBELIEVE16's topic in General
just picked up my tickets. I was there at 6am this morning when the store opened, and nobody had any clue about it. They had me write down my name, phone number, how many tickets I wanted and to what game, and they would give me a call when they figured out whats going on. Got the call at about 7:40, the tickets were in the managers office for safe keeping, and he didn't get there til 7:30. section 213B, row 17, seats 15-18, marked at about $48 a piece. So thanks again to Kroger, Coca-cola, and the Redwings for about $200 worth of free tickets. Truely made my day. -

Thanks for the info! The Waterford Kroger is right around the corner from my parents house, so I've got my alarm set to wake up early tomorrow. I'm planning on getting tickets for Saturday's game, and going with my dad, boyfriend, and his roommate. This is possibly the only wings game I'll be able to make it to this year due to the economy and it will be the only game my dad can afford to go to as well. Thanks to coke a cola, Kroger, and the red wings organization for giving so many people who are having a difficult time with the economy, a chance to escape for a while and watch a hockey game. -
Boo! I know it kills, all too well infact. Damn that is a long friday.

pssst!!!!! The 12th is a Thursday. That is all

Psst Lizz!!!!! I hear there is gonna be a shiny cup in your hometown tomorrow! Are you going to visit it even though its coming with Dan Bylsma?
-
you mean like going shopping for household needs, when you have homework due the next day that is undone? Yeah I'm a believer. The person below me is not going on vacation this summer.

go for the long term/ untouchables... Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Franzen. Yeah Lidstrom will be done in a few years, but it will be like Yzerman, Howe, ect... Nobody will ever give you grief for wearing his jersey.

Doing great! The other day I got my little sister to go work out with me, and then after we took a little dip in the pool to cool off. I want to try and go again today, but I have some laundry and packing to do first. I'm leaving to go to South Carolina for a week on Tuesday, today is the only day I have off of work to prepare, so its taking priority. I'll probably be able to go later tonight. Good luck with those last pounds Loo!

it's been 3 weeks of no pop, no fast food, watching what I'm eating, and trying to exercise at least 4 days a week. Some parts have been difficult, but I'm proud to announce that I have reached my first goal of being -10lbs. I have to go to work soon, so pictures will come later.

No I would not boo. Booing only gives Hossa more motivation remember??!? Even if booing threw him off his game, I still wouldn't do. He fulfilled his contract with us. Pre-cap, there wouldn't have been a second thought of whether Hossa was gonna be a Wing next season or not. He probably would have been a Wing for life in the pre-cap era. But this is the post cap era, and thats just how it is.

see ya later Conks. Be happy, play well. (except when you're playing the wings)
-
Knew he was gonna be a 1 year deal. Wished otherwise, but always knew it wouldn't happen. Good luck to him, except for when they're playing the Wings.

Thanks for the support everyone! Edi, VIB and Loo, you've all been great inspiration for me. So far I've been able to keep pretty close to the 6-8 meals a day and 200-300 calories per meal. Took the pooch for a half hour walk today, and then came in and did day 4 on the 30 day challenge for ea sports active. The running, high thighs, running, thigh kicks (or whatever they're called), running, ect.. exercise was probably the hardest. I've lost 1lb and I'm waking up with more energy already.

thanks for all the great advice Jacqui. I've cut pretty much all sugar drinks and replaced them with water and milk. If I happen to have something else it'll probably be a vitamin water 10. I've been trying to have the smaller 200- 300 calorie meals, but I'm only fitting in 4 meals a day right now because of the hours I work. My half hour break at work, it usually spent trying to fit dinner in, but as a nursing assistant, I spend 8 hours on my feet walking around anyway. I'm thinking about maybe showing up a half an hour earlier and walking the outside grounds then. Tomorrow is my rest day with the wii active 30 day challenge, so probably what I'll do instead is go through the different workouts and take the doggie out for a mile walk before work.

It's time to get my life back. 10 months ago, I experienced a very traumatic loss. The stress of everything going on and the comfort of eating when I was upset led to me putting on 40 lbs. Lately I have been lacking energy, constantly tired, and generally just sick of not being able to fit into my old cloths. I'm 5'11 and currently 220. A healthy range for my height is suppose to be 136- 179. I definitely don't want to be down to 136. I would like to have my curves still so I'm making my ultimate goal to be between 150 and 160. I am going down to South Carolina at the end of July, and for my first goal, I would like to be down at least 10lbs by then. Here is a current picture, and I've decided to post in here along the way so I feel accountable and can track my results.
