I worked at a Dick's back in '02 and we had them up for sale the next day, so I would expect the same thing to happen whenever a team wins a championship. We even had a Hasek white jersey which I bought with my discount, one of the best things I bought there. :-D

I thought it was sad when the announcers talking about how he got slashed and then showed the replay and my family were all wondering where the slash was. Pathetic display from the apparent star player of the league.

Hopefully they can work off the promising year they had this year to make some good playoff runs in the upcoming years, and not have to worry about it for many years to come.

I have liked the flow of the games so far in the series. I just think that the most are the pens fans that are complaining are complaining because Crosby and Malkin don't have the amount of space that they are used to, during the regular season and earlier in the playoffs, to be the offensive powerhouse that they were all year. Defense does not have the top billing in the east as it does in the west. The whole "obstruction" thing is getting old right now. I don't remember it being stated the first three rounds in the playoff, by the other teams playing the Wings (but I also don't spend too much time reading the other teams forums). It's not until we get to play against an East team that the whole "obstruction" complaints come out. About the calling every little thing, I think could favor the Pens, but with the fans complaining about it gives me the notion that the only way they think the Pens can win is by get PP points. These are just my opions nothing more nothing less.

I have it on also and I just attribute it to her being an Av's fan and her team is not a winning team like they were back in the mid to late 90 and early 2000. I just love hearing people call up and state that they are sick of all the media attention that the wings are getting, because I see more media attention given to more of the big 3 then the 30 teams that make up this league.

Yeah I noticed that a bit later in some other forum or discussion, but thanks for the heads up. Even in that I think they should add more criteria to the actual Rule 47.22 just so that it doesn't seem like they can just decide on any old thing to rescind the suspension. Or I might be off base in this, but who knows?

I'm not at all bothered with Malkin not getting suspended but they really need to either rewrite this rule or add amendments to it for all the likely causes that could bring about an instigator penalty in the last 5 mins of the 3rd period. Because, like other have stated, they set the precedent earlier in the playoffs for this rule and it does not follow the rule that is written in black in white. Personally I think they should go back over the rules to make sure that what they want called are followed and leaves little room for multiple interpretations for the same rule. But that's just me.

If the hit was an interference call then why don't we see many more interferances call in all games. I've seen players getting checked when they allow the puck to past them, when at their feet, because they see a check coming. If the Kronwall hit was interfence then there should be a lot more of them called.

I was wondering if anyone saw the fight that involved Jared Boll of the Blue Jackets near the end of the Avs vs. Blue Jackets game on Oct 30, where he got the penalty for instigating? What was the reason for the start of the fight? How was it compared to the fight that Brandon Marrow started during the Kings vs. Stars game this past Tuesday?

Just trying to get an understanding why Boll still got suspended and Marrow didn't. I figure it's because Marrow is a veteran and Boll is in his second year in the NHL.

Yes there are other reasons out there for the raises in the amount of money get doled out for players but we don't see other GM out there complaining to the press about something that happened last year. He just needs to drop the issue and figure out how to deal with it, like other GM out there are doing.

I love how Bob Pompeani, and other people from Pittsburgh, are stating that Hossa is one injury from losing a lot of money. Well duh, anyone who play profession sports are one injury away from losing a lot of money, even pretty boy Sindy. I also I have to agree with some earlier on who pointed out who would want to be mentioned as Crosby's Right Winger. And why would someone want to play for Team Crosby, personally if given the choice I would play for the Pens team and not the Crosby team.

Actually it wasn't. Detroit Hockey started out with 6 different jerseys in 7 years. The Detroit Cougars had a different jersey each year they were around, which lasted for 4 years. Then they became the Detroit Falcons and had the same jersey the 2 years they were around. Then they became the Red Wings who also changed the look of their jersey a couple of times. Personally I would like to see a throw back to the jersey that the Cougars wore their second year in the league. It shows a bit of history behind the team.

What, is Versus playing Russian Roulette with different feeds that they get? I'm glad they got it right now.

My dad was concerned that if we played the Pens because of the way they were officiated in the 2nd round when they played the Rangers. He thought that the Pens were getting most of the calls in favor of them. He never gets feeling like that, he's always saying you have to be in the refs skates to see the play from their angle. So when he makes comments like that I know that the officiating needs to be looked at for the upcoming season. I would like to see little ref conferences when it comes down to a penalty called by the back ref just to make sure that the right call will be made, if any should be made. It shouldn't take too much time out of the game to try to make an effort into calling the penalty.

I love it how some of them sound upset because he spent his own $600 to watch a hockey game at their place. It's his money and he can do whatever wants with it. LOL

They just interviewed him on ESPN First Take. I was surprised that they had something about hockey and it wasn't dealing with Crosby.

I'm sorry but pimping Crosby is not trying to sell the main product of hockey it trying to get people to watch this one person playing playing for one team. Last time I knew the NHL stood for National Hockey League, so the main product for the NHL would be hockey, period. Hockey is not an individual sport but a team sport. So they should promote teams and not just one individual. The problem I have with stating that Crosby is the main product of the NHL is that it will only get people interested in watching to see what Crosby will do or what he will whine about. This does not give the NHL a good face.

That was Skip Balis (sp), he knows jack crap about hockey and only watched for the fighting.

Well the main thing is to promote the main product, but isn't the main product of the NHL the Hockey teams and not an individual of one of the 30 teams out there? I think they need to promote the sport itself and not one person on one team.
