Bulls*** calls and then awful goals. Gus has played really well and then let in two awful goals. But the refs REALLY want to see wah get the record

Encouraging to see how well Glendenning has settled into the 4th line role, and Dekeyser looks really composed out there. Cleary's mind appears to still be functioning, but the flesh is weak....Quincey is still capable of going from looking really solid to awful in the blink of an eye

Also the hit on Kronwall is suspension worthy due to a lack of care towards the opponent but not a big suspension as it didn't look deliberately dirty. Now alfredsson gets a puck in the head...

The stripes clearly are doing their bit for the avs streak. 3 appalling calls against the wings, and 3 equally appalling non calls on stick and body holds.....

    Brunner Contract Talks

If he'd been willing to sign at what now appears to be his market rate, he'd be a wing next year. And if we could buy out Sammy and cleary goes elsewhere, he'll wish he had....

Devils sign Jagr (1 yr deal, financial terms not yet disclosed)

Keyboard warriors who question the work ethic, professionalism and attitude of sportsmen who have spent over 20 years at the absolute pinnacle of their profession need to take a serious reality check. Even someone like Ovechkin may be a glory hunting egotist, but he is also one of the best players in the world at one of the most demanding sports imaginable. And Jagr has been at that level or similar for two decades. There is not one person on this forum who can claim to be one of the top 10 in the world at something millions of people try to do for a job. And I seriously doubt any one on here has the day to day commitment, work-ethic, courage and drive of a hall of fame ice-hockey player. So Jagr's not loyal to any particular team. Perhaps if he's started at the wings he would be, but most teams treat their players like mere assets to be bought, sold and traded. And at 41 he is still good enough to be a top 6 forward on a decent side in the highest level at his chosen sport. Or top put it another way, he is probably still among the top 300 in the world at what he does, despite being a decade past his peak.....
  9. Great performance again. Incredible how this team has stepped it up in the playoffs, with no helm, no DD, and with Bert and Sammy both too unfit to play
  10. Toews acting like an absolute child.....maybe people will stop telling us he's the best leader in the league....mind you, crosby was still a great captain when he was being a punl
  11. These Blackhawks really are a bunch of punks when things go against them. If Bickell connects with one of those out of control hits he may well injure someone. Or get the hook...
  12. Dats stops the refs after another no call for a slash. The wings are playing well enough that not even the refs can cheat us at the moment
  13. Wouldn't it be lovely, you know, just for once, if the gimps in the middle didn't try to dictate the game rather than the players
  14. ******* CHEATS - ridiculous. Stop it for the penalty or the injury
  15. Embarassing dive from Hossa wins a penalty
  16. Anyone know what that penalty was for?
  17. Same s*** as last series. Really starting to question the point of the NHL at this rate. Officials so totally inconsistent
  18. So stick check to the head fine. Falling over and letting your stick clip an opponents arm And of course they score off it. f*** these refs
  19. Totally deserved series victory. At least half of the duck goals in the series were giveaways or total flukes, whereas the wings worked for theirs. given that they got so much production from their 4th line and ours were essentially makeweights, and that this was achieved with no helm, effectively no dekeyser and with bert, sammy and carlo essentially still trying to find their legs, the wings have already massively over-achieved. And at the end of the day, the captain came up BIG. For the quacks, Perry, Selanne and to an extent Ryan were all big disappointments.
  20. And obligatory fluke goal following a cheap penalty. sigh
  21. Smith was tripped on that play by Teemu's stick
  22. As ever the Ducks get chippy when they are trailing
