Suspension resulting from sex scandal In 2005, Lilja, and fellow Swedish hockey players Henrik Tallinder and Kristian Huselius were investigated on suspicion of sexual exploitation. In March 2005, all three players were suspended from the Swedish national team for one year, with Huselius and Tallinder being released by Swedish club Linköping and Lilja being suspended by Swedish club Mora for the rest of the season. I think we are ok. I dont think teams like nashville LA or Phoneix are going to be able to keep the pace that they have. That, combined with the Wings beginning to get healthy again may increase the point production for us and get us into playoffs. I have faith still. A very beaten up Wings team is staying i nthe hunt with teams that arent really affected terribly with the injury bug, and hopefully getting our key guys back will gives us a boost into a 6th or 7th seed. Gotta keep the faith guys. Three teams ahead of us in the standings that, in the past, dont play this well, and im hoping history will repeat itself in the last 30 games of the season...

I still beleive this to be true. Its just you very rarely notice those 90% of the public because they blend in. The 10% that dont share these traits stand out so it seems like a much higher percentage than it is....its just a shame that i end up sitting next to these 10% 9 out of 10 times haha

Haha i think ive sat next to that fan on more than one occasion. Dont get me wrong, i use first names every now and then, but i dont talk like i personally know the guy and that can sometimes be pretty annoying. not to mention, im at the game and im not blind, i can see the play, keep it to yourself haha. If i wanted a play by play i would have brought my portable radio and listened to Ken Kal lol. I think all wings fans are snobs when it comes not only to the Wings but to hockey in general. I dont see anything wrong with that, I call it passion that alot of other teams fans lack. Long live the snobs!

From your description i beleive it was the same group of retards haha. We were sitting in section 219 so if it was around there then it was more than likely them. However they were so far GONE that they may have walked around for a while before they realized they passed a few beer counters....

Knowing babcock and our medical staff, they will more than likely agree with you. Its just smart to give him extra rest. Not an injury you really want to rush back from.

The NBA went down hill ever since gary Bettman left. About the same time that the NHL really hit stride and started taking over the world. Yup that was sarcasm Basketball has always been very boring to me, and i hate the fact that the last 2 minutes take an eternity to be played out. Most of the time the game is decided with the last 30 seconds of the game, so when i do watch basketball (which is very rare and usually only in the playoffs) i usually only tune in for the last 30 seconds cause thats all that matters anyways....

There was a game a few years ago where the refs were killing us the whole game. Babcock was livid throughout the entire game standing on the bench and screaming, swearing and pointing at the refs. I think the wings somehown took the game to overtime and the refs called another phantom call on the wings and the other team ended up scoring on that power play. Babcock stood on the bench and waited for EVERY player to leave the ice and then continued to stare down the refs for a few minutes while laughing and clapping towards them. It was the first time i remember Babcock ever really showing any emotion on the bench and i loved it haha It was awesome

Well lets see. Lebda, Meech and Ville are blowing right now, so im guessing those 3 are pretty safe at this point seeing as only our key guys and guys that are stepping up seem to be getting injured....im ganna have to say that Howard is next since he has been one of the outstanding players so far... We've already lost 2 of our top 6 Dmen, and the majority of our offensive threats....time to lose a goalie now.

As a fellow right handed shooter with long hair and a beard i have alot of man love for this guy. haha. Man did he have 2 GREAT snipes tonight. The one that went in and the one that clanged on the post, i thought he was ganna get two tonight. I guess i can settle for 1 goal and like what 20 minutes of ice time? Babs is really showing that he has confidence in this kid by not only playing him so much but by playing him in EVERY role (even strength, PP, PK) this guy is one of the reasons, along with miller, why our PK has turned into a force field lately. The guy really has it all, skill-speed-shot-defensively reliable-EVERYTHING. Its amazing that the Sens traded this guy away, although they did get good value for him. What amazes me even more is that Boston traded for him just to put him on waivers...this guy has been a great addition to the team and im glad that Kenny saw something in this kid. Eaves is making Holland look like a genius (not that he needs the help haha)

The smile that i saw on his face last night made me feel that hes starting to feel like part of the team and feels like he can contribute. I think seeing his teammates so excited about it will give him confidence and excites me to see how he will respond to it.

Besides the fact that most of our scoring is coming from secondary scorers. But yeah our big guys arent playing, so Hossa is no different there.

I didnt think i could have more love for this guy...then i read this. The guy is just an unselfish hardworking player. Reminds me of the players of the old days. I just love how we have so many of those kinds of guys on this team. It never gets old hearing good stuff about your favorite players like this.

I dont really understand everyones problem with Bert. I was excited when we got him at the trade deadline 2 season ago, im a big beleiver in second chances, and i thought he would be a great addition to our team. He didnt play to hot the first time he was with us, and i was sad to see him leave, but i understand his reasoning, he was looking for a long term deal and the wings wouldnt give it to him. When we signed him again in the offseason, i as extremely happy because he wasnt just coming off Injury this time and he was stated as saying that he feels healthy for the first time in a LONG time, and i was excited to see how the man could play. Now with that said, he hasnt been an extremely heavy offenseive force, but he has refined his game to play in the wings organization. When they brought him back, they wanted him to play a more defensive game like all the wings players play, and if you ask me, he is doing just that. Hes skating harder than ive seen in years, hes defenisvely reliable in his own zone, and when he has the puck in the offensive zone he guards the puck well. I do think that all the injuries that we have suffered as a team should change his type of play, because now we rely on secondary scoring like him to help us out on the offensive sheet, and i think that hes starting to do just that. I think with all these injuries you will see bertuzzi pick up a bigger offensive role. Is he going to lead the team in scoring? Hell no, but if you watch all the games from day 1, i think hes been one of the most consistent players on the team, just is hitting a bad stream of luck. I think the guy has about 300 hit posts this season. Now that hes starting to find the net more, i think people should back off a bit. For 1 million dollars i think he has been a GREAT addition to the team. I think alot of people are biased towards him for the whole Moore incident, and those people cant be swayed and will say the guy sucks no matter what he does. But i think for a million dollars, the guy has produced. He changed his game completely, and is still putting up points on the score sheet, and with all the injuries, he will probably have to step into a bigger role. The guy is 4th in goals on the team this season, 5th in points and SECOND in shots on this team, ahead of DATSYUK. I think the guy is playing pretty damn hard if you ask me. People need to just back off. People in Detroit are always looking for someone to blame when we lose. Cant we just chalk the bad season up to losing alot of offense in the offseason on top of the MILLIONS of injuries this year? I think this team is playing really well together for what the circumstances are, and when the players come back from injury i think people will see that the team can mesh well together. But back to the point at hand, Bertuzzi in my book was a great offseason addition and hes doing just fine in my book!

Oh and when you do get to the area, make sure to come back to the boards and see what everyone on here is doing. There are always a few of us in the downtown area for the game or something, and despite what you might have heard about the detroit area and wings fans in general, most of us are quite friendly and always looking for fun people to hang out with haha, again just dont wear a Rangers jersey though lol
