this will be my first parade. I see that it starts at hockey town cafe and ends at hart plaza. where is a good spot to be in. Do you want to be in the very front, the end? What? Are there any chacnes for autographs if you wait at the hart plaza for the parade to end or how does it usually work?

Lilja didnt have a strong game, not weak, but not strong in my book, not to mention being tired. Do we see fresh legs in Cheli in for game 6 for him? Just wondering what everyone thought.

Before this series started we all knew it was going to be a battle. I beleive most people were saying it was a series that could go to game 6 or 7. I understand that when we jumped to a 2-0 lead in the series that we got a little ahead of ourselves, and with the way we played those first two games you cant really blame us for thinking we were going to walk all over them. But since those first two games, pitts has played like the team we thought we were going to be playing. Their big guys (besides malkin) have started to step up. Crosby has gotten some good assits and Hossa has really stepped it up and has been one of their best players the past few games. Im not happy that we lost, and it sucks even more knowing that we were only 40 seconds from a championship, and it sucks even more knowing that we played almost a 2 game length just to lose in triple overtime, but you have to start and think....this is finally turing into the series that we thought it was going to. I dont think there is any need to panic though, as the pens would have to win 3 straight to beat us. The wings only need 1, which i think they can do on wed, but if not you also have to put into affect that if we do go to a game 7 that the wings have the advantage. We get to play at home in the joe. I guess what im trying to say is , yes i would have loved to sweep the pens or beat them in 5, but im not ready to throw in the towel and im kind of excited that pitts is making this the series that it was suppose to be. With that said, im still fully confident that we can take this cup! If it means winning it in Pitts thats fine by me, a championship is a championship in my book, and we will be celebrating in detroit nomatter where its actually won.

You mean chelios who is probably one of the best conditioned players on our team? Chris chelios who works out harder than all of the "younger guys"? Please dont buy into that old age thing like every non wings fan has, cheli is still a competitor and is still in better shape than most of our team. Especially after the teams coming off of a triple overtime. So no, its not an oxymoron to me.

He may not change those factors but he is a fresh set of legs. McCarty might help as well, but i dont think you take out any of our forwards to put him in just to play 4 minutes. I think Cheli should be in though although lilja is a good shot blocker. Im just affraid he may be tired.

I dont know what you are talking about. Ozzie had a very solid game in my book. 3 of the goals ozzie had no chance on and the one in the 3rd was Franzens fault for not clearing the puck and then not taking out Talbot before he got 2 jabs at the puck. Why is everyone jumping on our players after losing a game. we are still up in the series and last time we were in pittsburgh we won....dont jump ship yet. I have total faith in Ozzie and wouldnt want anyone else in net to win the cup with this year. He has helped us all season and has carried us for most of the playoffs. I say Go OZZIE!

1) i think they just extended Anderrsons contract for another 2 years or something (but dont think hes going anywhere even after that 2) Boil them, put them in a garbage or ziplock bag, and the nyou saran wrap it to your body. Or just stuff the little guy down the pants, but that could be a little uncomfortable.

Hey Hank, I started this thread and i can see it has gotten alot of attention, i just want you to know that i understand where you are coming from in saying that hes only 20 and is just acting his age and inexperience. Im not trying to take away from his playing skills, or his off ice charity. Hell, i love crosby, i bought his jersey on draft day as soon as it was official what team he was going to. I was just a little upset after going back and listening to all the interviews and seeing all the wings players compliment EVERY pens player, and almost every question asked by press had something to do with zetterbergs PK playing. It was a superstardom type shift For Z and i was just upset to see Crosby downplay. Can i see where he was coming from being donw 3-1? yeah. Can i see that he isnt fully mature and isnt going to act like a 10 year vet? of course, i just think he needs to learn a little humility and be able to give some credit where credit is due. I didnt post the thread to make people hate Crosby (even more than some already do). I just think Crosby could have shown a little more class in the situation he was put in. I guess i was just upset seeing as all year noone in the league gave the wings any attention, and as soon as playoffs started people wouldnt stop talking about the pens and crosby. I thought finally we would get somepraise going to the SCF and than going up 3-1 on the pens and the golden boy. We are finally getting hte praise we deserve and it felt to me like Crosby was trying to take that away from us with that interview. Again i love Crosby, and im glad to see hes doing good things with his popularity by helping the less fortuanate and the sick, i just couldnt beleive he was downplaying the skills of Zetterberg.

It has nothing to do with the fact that hes not "Drooling over the talented Wings' players". I simply think that its pathetic that a star like crosby cant give credit where credit is due. Every announcer, sports analyst, hockey expert, and hockey fan saw just how special Z's PK was. I think just because Z made great plays on Crosby and made him look foolish that he chose to say that Z didnt do anything out of the ordinary to make himself feel better about being shut down. Then there was the fact that he cried about obstruction on that PK. I dont want to get into a figt with you about anything, im just saying, i think a captain should show a little more respect for great plays. Captains like Lids and Yzerman and Sakic, they always gave credit for a good play. It just seems to me that Crosby doesnt take into account any other player on the ice. It seems to me that if he loses a game or doesnt score on a play that its becuse HE didnt play hard enough, rather than the fact that he was out played. It seems to me that he has bought into the fact that he is the greatest player on the ice at all times and that games are up to him whether he wins or loses and the other team and its players are not a factor at all.

A man after my own heart! Its a tradition for my family to go there everytime we are in greektown. Strawberry shortcake for me cookine for dad chocolate moose for my brother and boclava for mom.... anyways, hockeytown is usually good, but can get really busy really early. Luckily the tigers are playing in oakland tomarrow so you wont have to battle the tigers crowd along with the wings. if you chose greektown for before the game for dinner i recomend pegasus (sp?) its where i usually always go. GREAT food, but not the biggest place, so if you are looking this way i would call for reservations. If you're looking for after the game fun, you can try the Casino. Im sure that will be rocking with some wings fans after the game. People are ganna be feeling really lucky after a wings victory, gambling will be a plenty!

First off zetterberg scored when it was 3-0 not 3-1...your team was shut out that game remeber? I know it has already happened twice to your team in these finals so ill chalk that mistake up to you just getting games confused. Secondly...if that is your definition of "Garbage" goal than i think you have your definitions of "garbage" and "Irrelevent" mixed up. Garbage goals are sloppy dirty goals that should not have gone in. An irrelevent goal is one that would take place but has no bearing on the outcome of the game....such as the Zetterberg goal to top off the opening game 4-0..... Most of the Pens goals have been RELEVENT goals...but GARBAGE goals none the less. I thought the definitions were pretty clear, but its okay if you need me to explain it, after all you are a Pens fan so i know you arent the sharpest of sharp.

One was on a garbage goal....hmm i dont know if you saw the goal, but he was standing right in front of Fleury (who was not screened) and roofed it right over his glove. I dont know what definition you have of Garbage but....what Zetterberg did is called "sniping". Now if you want to talk garbage goal go take a look at sids goal where he shoots the puck at Ozzie and gets a good bounce. Or how about the one where crosby sits on the side of the net and waits for someone else to do all the work and slide the puck to him and he can tap it in. Or how about the hall goal where he banked it off of Ozzie and got a good break. Hmm i think thats more than half of Pitts goals this series and all are garbage. Secondly. How many points does Crosby have? 3. Three points from the Golden child. I thought he was the savior of the league. And yet he only has 1 more point than this bum zetterberg. Zetterberg who is a two way forward (one of the best in the league) and still has only 1 less point that Crosby who doesnt know what defense is and never plays on the PK. Yeah you are so right, Zetterberg is nothing....Crosby is godlike. Thirdly, crosby ******* at the officals regardless if its appropriate or not. Should he have bitched when Hatcher owned him? Sure he was inexpereienced and basically a baby. Should he ***** whenever someone touches his stick now that he has been in the league for a few years? No...but he does it anyways...and why? Because hes still a baby, and will forever be one for his entire career. Will he dominate the league in years to come? There is a huge difference though, Zetterberg tied up his stick which is totally legal. Crosby was in the play and Z played DEFENSE. When homer is getting bashed checked bodyslammed and thrown into the net its totally different because the other team is taking his body. Z took the stick which is totally legal as long as there is no slash....

Hmmm, i've played alot of hockey, and last time i checked there is absolutely nothing illegal about tying up a guys stick like that...its called defense. Pens fans might think defense is obstruction seeing as they dont see defense to much with their team....When did it become obstruction to tie up the guys stick? Every coach i have EVER had teaches you that s*** on day one. its the same in any sport to...basketball you try to tie up your guy so that he doesnt get the pass or block the passing zone. Football a corner will cover a wide reciever to get an interception or to take away a passing zone. Hockey, you tie up a guys stick or get in the passing zone so that the guy doesnt get to put a garbage goal in the net. Have to rules changed completly so that if a guy is standing right on the side of the net and wiats for a pass you cant touch try and prevent him from scoring leagally? If so, that there should be a ton of calls that Homer should be getting seeing as he gets slashed checked and bodly slammed infront of the net by every opposing player including the goalies...tell me am i wrong? or is this a legal play? Cause ive done it for years.....and never been called for it.

Well its totally possible, i think the wings have lost 4 times in these playoffs.....combined in all series. We lost 2 to nashville 0 to colorado and 2 to dallas? Yeah thats 4 losses. And if you are blind and forget the fact that it took 3 different teams to hand detroit 4 playoff losses this year, than yes its totally possible for the pens to hand the wings 4 losses by themselves. It just might take them the next few years to add 4 wins up...but this year? Not a chance. Not even with Sid..
