Glad im a wings fan and dont have to be to nervous for this game, although i do love iginla and dio fans....and i like watching Nolan beat his old team....but i do love JR as well, man oh man, its amazing how i can hate these teams and yet love some of their players....

I love the flames as well, but man i am praying they lost this one. I want to play the Avs and see the rivalry again. Also i think Dallas can take out the sharks, and we are pretty dominating over the stars so we can beat them after the avs. Turco is phenominal, but the wings really have had his number his entire career.

some of us have till may 7th......so a little wings game to give us a break for sanity really helps out especially during finals week

i was this close to shaving today thinking that maybe if i shaved it would give the wings a fresh start since they have lost two straight. But i said NO! I had this facial hair when we won the first two games and im going to ride it out for one more game! And sure enough, we played a solid tight game. Needless to say the beard is staying for good now! I think a mix of all of our odd lucky habbits helped the wings win, so therfore this is a win for all of us! Good game to all!

Wings really need to build momentum in this game so that they can go back to nashville and get a win in game 6 as well. really dont want to see this go to game seven even though i think we would win it anyways. But anyways, we need to dominate and get something going. It needs to be like 5-1 or 6-1 and completely embarass trashville tonight. Ellis needs to be pulled within the first 2 periods to knock his confindence as well. Id love to see a blow out tonight for the wings...

Yeah you should edit this post if you dont want to get "blasted" again, because that would have been a huge mistake.....Hossa wouldnt even of stayed here at the end of the season, so we would have lost a franchise player and then lost the guy we would hve traded our franchise player for. We lose both ways. Plus Hossa is overrated and hasnt impressed me much since the trade. Seemed like a cancer in Atlanta and i dont think it would have been good to put that in the wings locker room.

You would say that! forget our offense for a second, our defense has been shotty lately. we are suppose to be the best defenseive team in the league, but it hasnt looked like it lately. Yes Z needs to step it up, but so does our whole defense. If we play sound defensivley i think our offense will fall into place as well. I think getting Ozzie in net will solidify the defense and give our offense a little bit of a spark. Or atleast i hope so!

i love this kid! I dont think there is anything wrong with this at all. What kid hasnt pretended they were their hockey hero when playing street hockey, or pretenteded they were Michael jordan in the front yard shooting hoops, or pretended they were ken griffey hitting some baseballs. I dont know what some of you are talking about thinking this is weird or "mental" Hes a kid. Not to mention its something that brings him and his dad closer together. I hope my kids are half this close with me and we can share something like that. Hell i just hope i can hypnotize my kid into loving hockey and baseball like i do. You guys are all crazy!

Man, versus is showing a replay of the Philly game right from last night and i got caught up in it. They showed a replay from one of the goals in the dallas ducks game and in my mind i for some reason thought it was the 4th game for that series. But now that i read one of the reasposes to this post i figured out that it was a replay from last nights game. But man dallas dominated the first two games and anaheim just crushed them last game. Are the tides turning or was it just a one game thing....thoughts?

man now this is a good series. if anyone else has been watching the Philly/Caps series, its been pretty exciting. I have been pulling for Philly ever since the start of the season. After their aquisitions i said to myself " Damn this team looks tough on paper" I even started a topic on here a while back before the season started talking about how they looked good. I didnt think they were going to make it to the finals or anything, but i knew they would make hte playoffs. anyways, ive been watching them alot this season and their playoff series has been pretty exciting. Briere looks as good now as he did in buffalo. Hes putting up a great effort. Hes got 2 goals tonight and had 2 in the first game of the series too. Im glad to see Philly's arena packed and LOUD. I wish i could see a wings game with that kind of crowd. But damn has anyone else been watching this series? I mean i dont think they are going to win the cup or anything but they are looking and playng better than i thought they would. They have quickly become one of my favorite non wings teams to watch this year. Anyone else?

Im not a huge Ovechkin fan, i mean i respect what he has done for that team and the NHL, and hes a great player. I like him im just not in love with him. and hes really the only guy on that team with alot of talent. I mean you got guys like semin and green but if AO wasnt there, the caps wouldnt make the playoffs for the next 20 years. I just dnt think they have waht it takes to beat Philly, and like i said, Philly has really grown on me this past year, regardless of how classless their fans are...i consider myself a philly fan, but im a wings fan FIRST which means i might have a little to much class to be a full out philly fan haha

its not a weird place, but i wear it on tests days to my Organic Chemistry classes. I do it because my teacher is canadien and can not stand the wings. Coincidentally, i am American and i hate my teacher! haha. So it works out. He always gives me the look when i wear it in class. I make sure not to wear my Yzerman jersey on test days, for the obvious reason that Yzerman is a Canadien god so i Imagine that he wouldnt mind if i wore that jersey. The whole point is to piss him off. haha so i wear my Zetterberg or datsyuk jerseys. Also a little off topic, i had no idea how to answer one of his questions, so i started to write something that had to deal with Organic Chemistry, and then i read it over and it just made no sense, so i erased it and wrote a whole paragraph as to why the Detroit red Wings are the best team in the NHL. Needless to say i didnt get any points for that question but i think he liked the answer. He drew a smiley face and wrote -100 points on it. I found it funny. When i used to be under age i would go to the canadian casinos or to the bars, and i would wear my wings jerseys all the time there. Needless to say people dont like that very much, but i always run into a few wings fans while im there and it puts me at ease. Ive also worn my Yzerman jersey to the hockey hall of fame. Thats really the only "weird" places i can think of.

Wow, you sound like your a reporter for ESPN or something.....haha im just kidding. We havent really played that well in this series, but i think we have played well enough in both games to beat the preds, unfortuantely we fall apart at the wrong time and it costs us. I agree we need to fine tune our game better or else we will get crushed no matter who we play next round (if we play well enough to get by the preds that is.....dont want to jinx us)

Lebda is a good defensemen to have during the regualr season, and he gives you versatility atthe point, but in this round of playoffs he doesnt offer much. So i say stay with Lilja for his shot blocking or put in Ericsson for his size and shot. Lebda might be a good sub if we get into a matchup where we play a really fast team like minnesota or something, but most teams in the playoffs are going to be very girtty teams and he just wouldnt help with that.

He's big but i wish he would play like it! He doesnt seem to throw the weight around as much as i would like. But his shot is ten times better than Lilja so im with you on this one!
