Wow. are you kidding me? As an Italian/Sicilain/Irish/French Canadian...I'm used to many jokes against me, and i really dont see a problem with the joke (which he did not come up with, but merely posted). There are a million jokes against my kind that i dont see a problem with, and while im not asian, i dont imagine that Asians would have a problem with the joke posted. He was merely trying to state the irregularity of asians in the game. If you actually follow the Wings you would see that we dont draft alot of asian players (along with the rest of the league) and im pretty sure he was just joking about the irregularatiy of signing of non hockey related cultures in the NHL today. why dont you try to lighten up like the rest of the forums has done. damn...

I think Zetterberg hurts Crosbys pride by marking him so well during the game(not to mention with the 2 goals and an assist tonight)way more than he could hurt him physically by hitting him. Plus, Crosby wanted him Z to take a swing at him, that was the point of mixing it up. He was trying to get some pride back after a dredful game by him. Z did the right thing in just staying calm and collected, and not giving Crosby the satisfaction of responding.

If you watch the replay again, i think the thought past bertuzzi's mind cause he was the first one to come to Z's defense, but he was met by Guerin so he didnt have a great chance. A face wash seemed fitting for a guy like Crosby though. I think Bert did the right thing, even though it wasnt what we all wanted to see (Crosby getting beat down). No worries though, because we have Howard to take care of the dirty work these days haha

I love the fact that even though the League is cracking down on shots to the head and everything, we will still see no consequence to sids actions. The guy sat there crosschecking Z in the back and the HEAD knocking his helmet off and still continued to do it. He got frustrated and heard the fans chanting Crosby sucks and he goes out and does that s***. Thats bull and the league should take some kind of action even if just a small fine or something. I'm not saying suspend the guy for the rest of the season, but hes gotta learn that acting like a bab and throwing a temper tantrum and intentionally trying to hurt someone (especially an important player like Z) shouldnt be tolerated. Now i may sound like a giant homer and an even bigger Crosby hater, but that was just ridiculous.

Is he small? yes. But the guy seems pretty fast. does he appear wide open eveytime? yes. He seems to find the open ice, something leino couldnt seem to do for us. I think that he would be a good addition and his size would allow us to get him for something cheap. If thats the case, if he pans out then Holland looks like a genius, if he doesnt then its not a big cap hit. I would take this kid in a heart beat. His long hair and boyish looks make him look like a wing already haha. The only thing holding him back is his long last name lol. I would take him if hes willing next season for a decent price.

I dont think Maltby was uncomfortable, i just think that he is in that transition state where hes trying to go from "player interview" to "Sports comentator". You could tell he was nervous a bit, and still answered some of the quwstions as if he was a player between periods with alot of "ums" and "uh" but i dont think he did terrible. Something tells me they are trying to get him ready for when he retires. The orginization is awesome in taking care of guys that have played for them, and something tells me this was an audition/practice for possibly a full time spot next year or the year after.

I've never seen a player that could hold a torch to the talent that Homer shows in front of the net. Hes the best at what he does. His role is simple. Stand infront of the net, battle for postiion and tip pucks. The guy might not be a good skater, and may not have a wicked wrister or slap shot, but the man gets the stick to the puck. best hand eye coordination ive seen. I was thinking that if he didnt have a career in hockey, the guy could have tried playing baseball with that kind of coordination. Two of his goals in the past week he has redirected shots that werent even ON net and put them in for goals. To be able to get the stick on the puck while getting nailed by other players is just astonishing, especially at his age and poor skaiting abilitiy haha. I dont know if he wants to keep playing for a few more years, but if he can keep producing like he is, i wouldnt mind having him back. When he does retire its going to be so weird because the wings are going to have to find different ways to score, because noone seems to be as effective as him infront of the net. I'm loving all the major homer love. and its well deserved.

I'm an Ovechkin fan, and i can see this hit both ways. When i saw it live it looked innocent enough and i just figured ovechkin just had to much speed and campbell suprised him when he slowed down and ovechkins momentum just took them both into the boards. But after watching the replays you see him completely throw campbell at the boards. Intentional or not, i think something should be done. Ive been saying it for a while, Ovechkin plays to wreckless and i see a bad injury in his future if he doesnt start playing smarter physically, but right now he is hurting other people with his wrecklessness. Im in noway saying that he headhunting out there, i just think he plays a very hard physical game and sometimes he is just to wreckless. Dont get me wrong, i like physical players and am not saying eliminate physical play from the game (cough bettman cough) but there is a fine line between grinding, hard play and just pure wreckless abandonment. With that said, Chicago looks like a very vulnerable team going into playoffs. Their goaltending is questionable and now they just lost their 2nd best defenceman. Luckily they can score a little, eh? I wouldnt mind seeing them in the first round if we get in.

i dont think it feels wrong. They got what they deserved! Neither team played with the intensity i was expecting in the first 3 games. Russia, a team with scoring ability on every stick, only scores 1 goal against Slovakia (who played the Czech the night before, and LOST)? Thats a dissapointment any way you look at it. Then you have Canada, ea team playing in their home country whom many have picked to win it all, gets taken to OT by the Swiss, and then lose to USA? Im not being a USA slappy or anything, but USA and Sweden looked the strongest in the whole tournament. Do i think that Russia or Canada are ganna pack it in and call it quits? No. I think whichever team wins when they meet, will probably still place for gold or silver. I've just been really dissapointed with their play, and when you dont show up on an international level, then you get what you deserve. I think it does make Yzerman and holland look bad because they left alot of guys off the roster that many thought should have made the team, and it makes Babcock look bad because he started Broduer in both of their bad games. But Id be shocked if they didnt turn it around. With that said, Russia is ganna be TOUGH. I hope that USA doesnt think they are guaranteed anything at this point just because they won their 3 games, because the examples that Russia and canada set in the first 3 games is a prime example of what can happen to a team that takes their talent and spot i nthe bracket for granted. You saw how big of a fight the Swiss game Canada and i would expect the same agaisnt the US if we seem them. I hope that the US can keep up their intensity and place, and the fact that Russia or Canada will be out of the medal rounds strongly increases the chances, but the US can fall as quickly as they rised up. Gotta keep the goaltending sharp and keep playing with the intensity.

I dont think its out of the question. I think they are the 3rd or 4th best team in the tourney. But one loss could kill ya. It all depends on how this young team responds to being under pressure.

Man i thought the same untill yesterday. USA looked pretty decent, although not overly powerful on offense. Our goaltending was great and we have 2 other goalies jst as good in reserves. Our D looked solid after the first period for the most part. As wings fans we all know that defense and goaltending wins championships. Theres always a chance PLUS I stayed up extra late to watch the Russia game and i was VERY dissapointed. Offense looked sloppy except for the goals that were scored, and Nabokov gave up 2 goals to a LATVIA team that didnt look very good offensively the entire game. I dont really see to much defense on the Russian squad and if Nabokov is ganna give up 2 goals to Latvia, than i dont see an over powering force in their net either. Canada, as much as it pains me to say it, looked the best in their first appearance. Had offense, defense, and goaltending all going at once. damn Canucks....

Seriously? Why bother posting if your just ganna be a ******. get outta here. To the OP i just dont see any small country placing mainly because the bigger hockey countries are just to strong. Is it impossible in the future? No, but these smaller countries defiently gotta step up their game and start developing more players or else they will keep getting blown out on the national level. Russia, Canada, Sweden, USA, Finald are just to strong for these smaller countries.

As a USA fan and citizen i am hoping that Russia plays like a bust like this game has been thus far. As a realist, i think that they will get 20X's better.....i hope my realism is false....USA USA USA USA
