    'Hawks trade Aucoin to Calgary

the flames are at 32 million?? well if they add aucoin theyd be at 36 , and if they basically get rid of tanguay for smyth and say smyth makes 6 million theyd be at 37 million , they'd be more then fine ......iginla is already making 7 million so the cap hit couldnt go much higher if they kept him , how much you think hes gonna get ??? kiprusoff on the other hand is making 2.9 , so lets say he gets 6-7 million then thats an extra 3-4 million, that all adds up to 40-43 million .....like i said they got space , as for tanguay , in 3-5 yrs kane will be better then tanguay , so there way better off keeping kane , tanguay is a good player but hes a 20-25 goal scorer , and in my opinion overrated ......hes good but hes not as good as you make him out to be and definetly not worth 5 million a year

    'Hawks trade Aucoin to Calgary

exactly , and theres gonna be some gems in this draft we'll talk about in the future , i find it hard to believe to go through a draft and not find some good players along the way

    'Hawks trade Aucoin to Calgary

to "you" there are no gamebreakers.... patrick kane , turris and riemsdyk are gonna be really good players in this league and you think the hawks would trade one of them away along with aucoin to shed salary and get tanguay ?? thats just crazy . patrick kane's got unbelievable talent , just cause theres no crosby doesnt mean the draft sucks , chicago needs help your right but they wouldnt trade away there future just to make the post season, calgary's got unrestricted free agents this yr ( hamrlik, stuart, amonte) that they can choose not to resign to save cash , which is why i wouldnt be surprised if tanguay went the other way so they get a defensemen back in line up and basically trade tanguay's salary and go for a ryan smyth . . .....trust me the flames dont need to shed cap space to keep both kipper and iginla i heard somewhere thanks to the canadian dollar being strong and all , that theyd raise the cap next year ,they'll be fine incoherent lol ill let that pass ...........your a smart guy lol .........i can see them trading tanguay to go for a smyth though which i heard somewhere before that there really gonna push for him , i can see it happening it would be like smyths way of saying F-U to lowe and the front office

    'Hawks trade Aucoin to Calgary

because there would of been no chance in hell that the 1st overall pick and aucoin would be sent for tanguay , makes absolutely no sense its ridiculous .........and as for smyth to chicago i was saying if the flames sent tanguay it would be to clear up space to go after smyth

    crazy trade proposal

ya i know it would never happen but i would think about it , i like datsyuk and all but 7 yrs is a long long time and i think down the road when we need cap space we might regret having him , everyone wanted to get rid of him and now that he had one decent playoffs everyone loves him , next year if he tanks everyone will say ahhh you see hes back to his old ways trade his ass .......but i get what your saying i think we got alot of good playmaking skilled forwards i would of wanted to add someone like smyth to balance the team more , but i know we'd never trade datsyuk .....if it ever happens itll be 3-4 yrs down the road
  6. kindlwillbegreat

wings should go after iginla next off season

its impossible to go for iginla ........in 2 yrs we'll have lidstrom zetterberg datsyuk making somethin like 21 million combined , we cant have 4 players near 30 million

    'Hawks trade Aucoin to Calgary

LOL ya i got serious issues with logic and your the one who thinks aucoin and the 1st pick overall could of been sent to the flames pls man dont talk to me about not being logical, who says the kids in the top 3 couldnt of been in the top 10?? just cause people say that its not a great draft year doesnt mean the top 3 are cant miss's .......yzermans draft year wasnt suppose to be good but there was good players that came out that year your forgetting ......hamrlik,freisen,amonte and i think stuart are gonna be unrestricted so they got cap space to get aucoin , as for who the flames gave up maybe a pick and a player like Andrei Zyuzin .......if they send tanguay to chicago it would shock me , only reason theyd do that is to clear cap space to go after ryan smyth

    'Hawks trade Aucoin to Calgary

you wouldnt be surprised to see aucoin and the 1st overall for tanguay ?? LOLLL ya like the hawks are gonna give up the 1st overall pick to the flames just to get rid of aucoin's salary , come on man ........getting tanguay in return is laughable , calgary would have a parade if that trade happened thats hilarious , no idea dude but thats just stupid on calgary's part ........maybe itll work out for them since he wont be the number 1 guy there but at 4 million thats just crazy , hawks caught a big break

what are our chances of keeping our 1st rd pick ?

lmao if only it was that easy , he did play with the kitchner rangers and jakub kindl so that can a plus i guess that they know one another ......heres some info on him if anyone was wondering what kind of player he was 17. Roberto Bortuzzo, D, Kitchener Rangers Mar. 18, 1989 At 6'4 and already 205 pounds, the 18-year-old blueliner has already filled out a lot of his frame, yet still has room to grow. And, as a solid stay-at-home type blueliner, the Thunder Bay product has the size and presence to keep opposition forwards clear of his goalie's goalmouth. Bortuzzo's offensive game is still in its infancy, as he only accounted for 14 points in 63 games. And his shot isn't exactly leaving anyone quaking in fear with only two goals to his name this year. However, if a club is looking to make a sizable investment in keeping pucks out of their own net, then a defensive defenseman like Bortuzzo's ripe for the picking.

Would we have won the Cup if Yzerman played?

you dont like it dont read , simple as that i dont like seeing your little jesus thing either but i dont complain , just dont read i agree with you , i just think he would of found a way to will us through , the year before it was just badluck we had to deal with roloson stopping everything , we were better this year , more determined i just think having yzermans leadership there would of made a difference maybe we would of found a way to win game 4 as we should of , he still had 4 assists in 4 games vs the oilers in the post season its not amazin stats but still a pt a game .......but again like most of you said to many if's , we'll never know .

    The big three or bust?

your right on that but if we dont resign matt which i dont think will happen i think we might be able to get a bill guerin maybe , he would cost us say 4 million and wouldnt require a longterm deal , so we can get rid of him when lidstrom needs the big contract , plus guerin is the kind of player we need , physical and can score
  14. kindlwillbegreat

    crazy trade proposal

first , i think zetterberg is our franchise once lidstrom retires ......2nd if the two of them need eachother to be good then they dont deserve to get close to 7 million a season , players making that much money should make other players playing with them better , not that they need good players to be good .............i understand what your saying and i do realize it would probably never happen but if i was the gm id consider it , i find hard to believe youd think having datsyuk would be better then having forsberg and smyth combined , i do realize forsberg has been injured lately but when hes not hes at the top of his game and like smyh he shows up in the playoffs when it counts , smyth is also what we need in the post season a guy who hits and pays the price ( yes we got holmstrom but wouldnt hurt to have him in the team too) smyth plays with heart and determination when its all on the line and as for pitkanen he could of replaced schneider whos likely to be gone after the ridiculous amount of cash timonen got , pitkanen is only 23 hes a big guy who can be gritty and physical and be offensive , its good to have lebda and quincey but it be nicer if pitkanen was in the mix as well with kronwall and kindl ........i understand why you and others are skeptic but in order to get good players you gotta give up some , especially now with the cap , you gotta be creative hey on a sidenote guys i just read on the fourthperiod.com that the bruins might trade the 8th overall pick , i know it wouldnt be enough but it got me curious , just for fun ............what do you guys think is the much we'd be able to get for hudler ???? hes nhl ready, hes young proved he can score with his 15 goals with almost no ice time and no real scoring talent on his line .........what do you think he can get for us ?
  15. kindlwillbegreat

    crazy trade proposal

ya well thats why i said datsyuk cause as good as he is he's one player , better off trading just him then say a combo of grigorenko/kindl/howard .................if it was possible id trade hudler plus our five 2007 picks lol , but the flyers wouldnt be guaranteed to get anyone with our high picks .........i know what your saying dude but i wish there was a way to land him , yzermans his idol so maybe yzerman can convince him to come when hes unrestricted at 25-27

    'Hawks trade Aucoin to Calgary

im watching the special on tsn as well i must of missed that part i think aucoin at 4 million is a player i wouldnt trade for .........btw do you know if the special is 30 mins or an hour ??

    crazy trade proposal

LOL whats my point , obviously there is players that arent gonna live up to expectations but it doesnt mean turris will be one of them, cleary wasnt a potential 1st overall btw ........and i wasnt just putting up his point stats i was putting up the info on what the scouts say about him ...............anyways i just read some loser post this on hockeybuzz.com ..........LOLLLL the guys complaining about giving a high 20 pick and kesler for turris ........LOL Don't do it Dave! Today @ 6:12 PM ET | Comments (42) I'm of the very humble opinion that trading Ryan Kesler and our first round pick to the Flyers for their # 2 overall pick would be a mistake. It makes no sense to me to trade a proven potential Selke award winner for a young kid who hasn't even played at the highest level. Sure, Kyle Turris has been touted as a, "can't miss" but Kes is our prime defensive forward. He's money on the PK. Brendan Morrison is available. Take him. Don't do it Dave. Thoughts?

    The big three or bust?

ryan smyth and guerin are the only ones id consider from the ones you put .........i wouldnt mind stuart but he'd cost to much , id rather have sarich

    crazy trade proposal

LOL you hurt my feelings and i wont be able to sleep tonight , thanks alot ! LOL ...................you wanna get something good you gotta trade something good , especially with the cap to consider you gotta move higher salaries and lidstrom is retiring a redwing , i wouldnt bet everything i own on the fact that datsyuk will retire a redwing, zetterberg will be the one to hang em up as a wing vancouver is after the 2nd overall to land turris and apparently holmgren is more then willing to deal the 2nd overall pick (moron) ----------and holmgren said he would deal his 2nd pick for a roster player COLUMBUS, Ohio _ Vancouver GM Dave Nonis wants to pick Kyle Turris in the draft. That means he needs the Flyers' No. 2 pick and he has offered to do a deal with Flyers' GM Paul Holmgren. Vancouver has the 25th pick. The Canucks are one of several clubs, Holmgren said, who have called him about the pick. "There's been a few calls, people fishing around to see if it is a possibility," Holmgren told me this afternoon. "Dave asked me, would you guys consider moving down and said we would. I had about 5-6 calls like that." Holmgren said he would trade his No. 2 pick for a roster player or several picks. The Flyers need to lose some salary in this draft this weekend and are looking to make larger deals or at least set the stage for some deals coming out of the draft. The Edmonton Oilers are also interested in the Flyers' pick. BTW: I asked New Jersey GM Lou Lamoriello whether he would ever consider the kind of deal the Flyers made this week with Nashville, allowing them to negotiate with a future free agent he would not be able to re-sign. To my surprise, Lamoriello said he would "never rule out" such a scenario. Would you do it with the Flyers? He smiled.

well thats why i said if we'd trade dastyuk then we'd have the cash for smyth ............never say never to forsberg we tried getting him at the trade deadline so we never know lol .........as for turris since hes a yzerman fan maybe yzerman can convince him to come here when hes unrestricted

    crazy trade proposal

forsberg is still one of the best players in the game thats why id take a chance on him , and it wouldnt be a longterm deal and as long as the guy would be ready for the post season thats all that would matter , the guy is unbelievable , i think he would love coming here with all the other swedes he's still only 33 ........i really can't see us losing that series against the ducks if he were in the lineup with us , im sure we would of got some big goals against the ducks ...........losing to them still kills me cause i know 2007 should of been our year, ah well LOL no .............and you'll see kyle turris will be amazing and in 2-5 yrs youll be like omg that kids so good i wish he was in detroit lol ........plus trading datsyuk would give us cap space to get ryan smyth who im sure would come here in a heartbeat so its basically datsyuk for smyth pitkanen turris i might be the only one but i really like it ..........an extra 800 k and we get ryan smyth and his 30+ goals a season with all his passion and heart for the game and a guy you most definetly know will do whatever it takes to win every post season and a young gritty offensive defensemen to replace schneider who will now be out of our price range thanks tot he timonen signing ........and a guy whos got all the tools and will undoubtedly in my mind be a future star in the nhl well they got timonen so they might trade him now , plus its been rumored for a while now they been wanting to trade pitkanen for some reason ........why wouldnt they want dastyuk for 7 yrs at under 7 million ?? they wanna go for drury or gomez and pay 6-7 but nothing is guaranteed if they go on the free market to get them .............as for us not trading datsyuk i know it wont happen but i would seriously consider it if i was the gm ( save the thank god your not the gm comments lol ) with this new cap you gotta thank ahead and be creative and take chances ..........kyle turris would be here till hes like 27 , if we got smyth we could lock him up for 5 yrs and we'd have pitkanen ........i love dastyuk but if it was possible to add those guys and lose him i wouldnt be crying , we'd have those 3 and we'd still have lidstrom, zetterberg, holmstrom all the younger guys coming up like filppula, kronwall, kindl and free agents we can get
