filppula datsyuk holmstrom hudler zetterberg grigorenko franzen cleary samuelsson maltby draper kopecky ellis Lidstrom - kronwall Rafalski - lebda quincey - chelios lilja/meech Hasek Osgood hudlers shown the skill , and i know its too early but i got some nice expectations for grigorenko i think if you give him some ice time with zetterberg he'll have a nice season , i think thats a nice balanced line up , up front ..........franzen samuelsson cleary line can score 10-20 goals each ........i like the line up cause it gives the kids playing time id like to see draper and maltby play the 4th line and kill penalties , there not getting any younger and i think franzen and cleary are more then capable of being the regular checkers but able to score as well , again .......let the kids play

i know what you mean , i still cant stop thinking about how that cup should of been ours , i feel like it was stolen from us .....and i do agree with you that holland knows what hes doing , ive always thought that ...... .that being said though i agree with most people here that were better off making the kids play then "just" signing anyone .....with that said im sure everyone will disagree with me but the more i think about it the more id love to see chris simon come here, hes older but hes still big , physical , can fight, chip in 10 goals a year and is an intimidating player we need and can be had for a one year deal ya i saw him before too but then i realized he never came close to playing a full season , at that point we might as well play brad ference

what do we have now after signing hasek ??? 5 million?? i say we still need a big body and i say we sign chris simon to a one year 750k deal , im sure most fans will be pissed cause of the stupid swing he took but hes still a big body that can fight and score 10+ goals which we need ....... that will leave us with 4.250 left , with that extra 1 mill cushion we had aside thats 5.250 we can use it for forsberg if he comes back , or just keep it for the trade deadline and/or payoff some bonus's , what id wish theyd do however is get rid of lilja and replace him by vishnevski or aaron miller zetterberg datsyuk holmstrom hudler filppula samuelsson franzen cleary grigorenko simon draper maltby kopecky lidstrom vishnevski rafalski kronwall lebda chelios meech hasek ozzie assuming hasek got 2 million .........sign simon 1 year 750 k ........sign meech 500k ....... trade lilja + sign vishnevski for 2.250 ......that leaves us with 3.500 total cap space left, i really like that lineup adds 2 big bodies , kopecky willl get playing time cause no matter how we hope it wont happen theres always injuries , i love those 4 lines , the cleary line has potential to all get 15+ goals , love the defense

i was thinking as im sure most of you are , wtf is going on with the hasek signing ??? Could he possibly be gettiing any deals from other teams of significance ?? he had 15 goals last season ,what you expect ? holland probably feared he would of went to arbitration , this way hes tied up for 2 years and doesnt have to worry ........if i had to take a guess id say its maybe 1.1 or 1.25 per , its 1.1 lets say then we got 7 million left , with 1 million put a side for possible deals at the deadline as much as i like cleary if it came down between him or franzen no doubt to me its franzen , hes a big body which we desperatly need plus hes awesome lol but id obviously like to keep both

i would take jeff o 'neill , he wouldnt cost us much and hes got a nice shot , put him with datsyuk or zetterberg and i think he can get anywhere between 25-35 goals , he had 20 last year in an awful leafs team we got what 7.1 left in cap room ?? 1.5 to o'neill for 1 year 2.5 for hasek and that leaves us with 3.1 ........ sign chris simon to 1 year 1 mill deal ( big guy, intimidating prescence which this team desperatly needs and can still score 10+ goals a yr) sign vitali vishnevski to a 1-2 yr deal at 2.1 per , or sign aaron miller to a one year deal worth 2 million
