i never said o'neill was a superstar , i can see the appeal of a bertuzzi and before you tell me off id welcome him back but he hasnt scored over 25 goals in the last 4 years .....back to o'neill and your chelios statement , chelios is 45 years old thats why hes not paying him more money , that and the fact that chelios is taking less money to help the team , if chelios said hey kenny i really deserve more money i want 1.5-2 million for 1 year deal , you think kenny would say f*ck off ?? Chelios is doing like holmstrom and taking less money to stay with us , and help the team ........as for o'neill he played 74 games last few seasons he didnt miss many games , i still think playing for the right team he can get a 25-30 goal season , and you make it sound like paying a guy like o'neill 2 million for 1 year is a horrible deal Its a one year deal so its not like we'd have to worry about him past this season if he didnt work out , hes scored 30+ , 3 times , his goal scoring production has been on the decline since his brother died so maybe a change of scenery would help him out , i just think you can do alot worse then o'neill on a ONE year deal worth 2 mill .......if he can be had for less then 2 million then by all means thats even better And again im not saying he should be our number 1 priority this off season , but if the guys we want are all gone and theres a few guys left like o'neill he might be one player id be looking at yes , so he'll play ....... i got high hopes for him

130??? where do you live ? i want that deal lmao btw does it piss anyone else off that centre ice always leave the game feed when the game is over ?? We dont get to see the interviews witht he players after or the thoughts of the game by the commentators , the stars ...etc..

Wings Want to Re-sign Bert Before Free Agency
kindlwillbegreat replied to KrazyGangsta's topic in General
you'd sign him for 3-4 yrs after the non stellar season he had with us , and the fact that he hasnt played hockey in years not to mention his back problems ?? You got more faith in him then he deserves , any team that would sign him for 4 yrs under those circumstances would be fools -
Khan - Is there enough cap sapce for Smyth?
kindlwillbegreat replied to rick zombo's topic in General
forget about smyth the islanders are rumored to have offered a rick dipietro type deal to smyth , hes not coming here -
lmao matty is 37-38 theres no way hes getting a 5 year deal ......2 years max
-
ill pass on nylander ......................and btw guys about ryan smyth i heard on tsn earlier that hes seeking a 6.5 per year deal for 5 years .........LOL thats just laughable , i mean hes good but 6.5 is ridiculous we got holmstrom who's almost the same kind of player and smyth at 4 mill less , gotta love homer
-
we took a chance on bertuzzi who didnt do anything in years due to injuries and suspensions we took a chance on hasek who was injured with the sens the wings are willing to take chances on certain players at bargain prices , granted o'neill isnt a superstar but if everything falls apart for us and we dont get the guys we want i can see holland taking a chance with a o'neill on a 1yr 2 mil deal , its not a big risk and longterm deal , and hes 31 , hes not old hes just been struggling with his career the last few seasons since his brother died ........again im not saying hes the guy we will look at but if july 1st comes and all the big names are gone and we got guys like o'neill stumpel yashin , id rather take o'neill then those guys
-
btw theres no way datsyuk gets more money then zetterberg , it should be a similar deal , alot closer then dats makin 1.2 more
-
well i did say like 200 lol .........180-200 , same ballpark im sure an extra 20 bucks wouldnt stop him from getting center ice , but if hes also a flames fan those pay per view games can be a real ***** especially if its the wings vs flames , 15 bucks per game is laughable
-
ya i might consider him as a redwing ............broadcaster lol , hes done he just wants to play to get to 500 goals
-
lmao thanks for the info im sure ill be using it soon enough .....ill pass on the screen shots though lol
-
he might have a phobia of flying but that doesnt prevent him from playing , how else does he travel to games now I think jeff o'neill "could" be a player who isnt a big name and could become a bargain , wouldnt cost much , he can shoot , he had personal problems such as his brother dieing which slowed down his nhl career but i still think he can be a 25 goal scorer especially here considering he had hit the 30+ goal mark 3 times , including a 41 goal season .........before you lose your mind and start complaining as you always do , im saying hes an option if other players dont work out , dont think hes one of the top players to consider now And back to the topic for a second guys , i just remembered kariya is from vancouver and the canucks really stink on offence so i can maybe see him coming to vancouver to be close to his family
-
ya i got it , its like 200 .......but your gonna get screwed on some flames games cause of those lame ass pay per view garbage .... all the canadian teams except mtl and toronto did , i missed a ottawa vs detroit game cause i wasnt gonna spend 15 games for one individual game
-
LMAO .........hey at least we feel the same way about eachother , nice way of dodging the bill guerin situation , i guess with thornton he would of only gotten 20 goals lmao .......your sad, can someone tell me how to block someone from the board ?? no point reading what this so called know it all has to say
-
ya i know im just saying though boynton has been injured as well , and kronwall has had really awful luck since he got here it hasnt been one specific injury always getting down though so thats a plus , i still got high hopes for the guy , he won mvp in the olympics against some really great players from the nhl , hes got all the tools to be a good one a,d at 5 yrs for 3 mill per , it could very well end up being a nice steal for us
-
kronwall played 95 games biynton 113 games + 18 .........who cares , id rather have kronwall and his potential then boynton , most of the games he missed during the season were groin injuries and in the playoffs it was a fluke injury , his luck is due to change , and if he performs to his potential we'll all be celebrating how good of a deal we got him locked up at , id take kronwal over boynton any day
-
id rather have a big forward that can play then kozlov .....as for getting lucky with zetterberg holland saw the potential and locked him up before he had that big year , its all about holland
-
boynton hasnt even hit the 60 games played mark the past 2 seasons
-
That might be the one thing that would make selanne not retire quite yet , i wouldnt be surprised if kariya signed a 1 yr deal to go back
-
memory problems lmao I never said Guerin played on a line with Thornton. Again, way to go. ----------------You did say guerin could not get 35-40 goals with thornton so with that dumb statement i assumed you thought they played together .......i dont know how you could assume guerin wouldnt be able to get 35 goals with thornton , when cheechoo got 56 goals with him , and his previous high was 28 , and guerin got 28 on a really bad stl team before coming down to san jose . Your just stating an opinion but stop making it sound like you know its a known fact that guerin wouldnt get 35-40 goals playing with thornton , thats just stupid .......And i do believe he would be able to get 35-40 goals in detroit playing with datsyuk with the shot he has and also getting ppl time And i guess your not the one who watched hockey cause if you did you'd know lalime did have a good stretch towards the end where he played really well , then again you just check "stats" .....And just cause he had a bad stretch doesnt mean anything players get bad stretches at times , guerin still got 8 goals in the season in 16 games with the sharks and have 36 goals at the end of the year , pretty dam good year for guerin if you ask me Honestly, where do you get off on acting like you know everything? ------------Your the one who acts like you know it all , you just check the stats and assume you know everything about a player , your saying guerin wouldnt get 35-40 goals with thornton with such conviction when you got no proof when you know for a fact cheechoo had a 28 goal improvement playing with thornton , and you dont think guerin could get 35 goals with thornton feeding him ? thats ridiculous And yes we did do fine last season but it wouldnt hurt to add a guy who can shoot the puck and a guy who wouldnt require a longterm deal , realistically guys like guerin are players holland will most likely be looking at cause it wouldnt require 4-5 yr deals such as smyth, drury and others would
-
he had potential when he was younger , i dont think he will ever be a number 1 defencemen , hes not awful but not worth 3 million , hes a top 4 defencemen on better teams And he hasnt had a full season in the nhl for a while now i believe
-
i wouldnt want a kariya at 5 mill per to come here , there are much more players id rather have then kariya
-
let him stay in waivers lol , if they buy him out then id might consider him at a reasonable price , at 3 million , ill pass
-
rafalski would require a longterm deal , 4-5 years , not matty ....... and i dont think matt will get 6+ , 5.5 at the most at a 2 yr deal , rafalski can get 5.5 from some team , so again , i dont get why if you think we cant get matt , that we can get rafalski ?? id rather have schneider at a shorter deal then rafalskim they will get similar money wise deals not so sure about that, sure hes use to living there but as a hockey player , playing that type of game plan they got in nj has got to be boring , if a team like pittsburgh with the style of play they play and the fact that rafalski is an offensive defencemen , if the pens offered him a deal you think he'd refuse it ?? I personally would be like , hey it was nice in nj , i won some cups now i wanna go enjoy myself and have fun playing hockey , i would so go to pittsburgh and play with the kids ......i think he might change team , i dont think its a lock hes going back to nj
-
your shocked hes hitting the market ? No thanks to kariya , we need bigger bodies that can play we got enough small forwards
