I'm just wondering how many have actually played the game here. I started playing at 5 played in high school, played in adult leagues until I was 30(except for a couple of years I was in Arizona) , then at 30 moved to Ohio and due to Job and family duties, plus the closet place to play is an hour away haven't been able to play in any adult league for the last 7 years, though I do still get together with friends back in Mi and rent the ice and beat the heck outta each other.

i think a 1 yr deal for carter could benefit both the wings and carter? What about Friesen? I really hope they sign Nolan he put up points on a horrible Phx team. These players could come on the cheap side and 1-2 year deals at that

wow 2 knowitalls upset in 2 days Im doing good.

Assets Big and mobile, he owns soft hands that do damage around the net. Can score spectacular goals, but is also adept at playing the set-up role. When on his game, he can dominate. Flaws His temper often gets the best of him. Lacks discipline and takes a lot of bad penalties in the offensive zone. Can get lazy at times. Scouting report (from tsn.ca) so more of the assets part and less of the flaws part. I think the wings should sign him to some incentive laden contract... keep him motivated

probably would take giving upa future goaltender.

.. uhm.. argh...what IS That? No im talking a cheap player who scored 20or more goals in a season 5 times. Or the same ammount of time bertuzzi has gotten 20 or more goals, correct? it wasn't meant as a comparision between the 2

I play d, or according to my grandfather who was original from toronto, I hate the Leafs. I was able to play d because I didn't have any offensive skills

Holland: Prices for Bertuzzi, Schneider & Markov high

well from whats been said being able to play on the red wings have made better players out of our ufa why pay top dollar for them there are certainly some good maybe not as good as the 3 mentioned but wont playing with the core players we have bring out better play from them, and for 1 theres Niinima health a issue there but could benefit fromplaying with our vet dmen, 2 Greg de vries bigger dman and has a nice touch, 3 Nolan way less than bert bigger and put up some acceptable #s with Phx, 4 Trevor Linden I think most people here are in love with our ufas, check some ufa list I think the three everyone here is so worried about could be replaced and for cheaper and not for as many years -

I was just putting up the names that I can see the wings being willing to part with as of now , for the flyers dont they have a love affair with shaky stay at home defensemen
-
I'm just talking about Pitkanen and maybe some names for him. for Bryzgalov it would be to outrageous.

Forget Bert He's NO shanny he's a minus player who takes stupid penaltys at stupid times ie. the playoffs and the dumb penaltys he took, I say go for Nolan hes a couple of years older but probably would settle for a lot less and 40 points on a crappy coyotes team he could put up bigger numbers with some talent around him, and as for Matt yes his replaceable as has been stated before, can the wings countinue to pay for a defensive liabilty based on the fact hes a great point on the PP, I like Markov but he to is replaceable, start the kids, Hudler trade bait as is Lilja, there is going to be a wealth of free agents(at every position) next year so the trade deadline can be where the wings find the parts they need. -

what a walk down memory lane, I started watching the wings around 76 mostly because my grandfather LOVED the Leafs, I hate the leafs so much. I remember Reed Larson and Dale McCort(not sure of the spelling) in the 77-78 season and how the wings were just a little less worse of then the leafs that year. I was thinking it was the beginning of something good to come then the next couple of years everything fell apart. Then the 87-88 season I took my grandfather to 2 games 1 in Detroit and the other in Toronto both Wings win. I also went to the playoff game where the leafs won like 6 to 5. what a great season Probert had scoring 60+ points plus the leading scorer for the wings in the playoffs. Then 93 playoffs overtime game 7, heartbreak and to The LEAFS to boot. I hate the leafs so Much.
