I'm pleased with what we have right now. We were pretty banged up going into the Finals this year. I would keep what we have if possible. It depends on if some of these guys are willing to play for less to stay here. If not, maybe its time to open up the Grand Rapids gateway and see where we're at come the trade deadline. Those GR rookies could have good pull at the trade deadline if need be.

Never a doubt on any of these guys. They were all great players.

I always liked the one Trvor Kid had with the Calgary Flames. Remember the dragon with all the Fire? Also Manny Legacey had a great one with the Wings

Hockey Rubes! Gotta HATE 'em!

The NHL had no choice but to go to Vs. ESPNBA esentially dumped them during the strike. What would do Hockey a world of good is to have people in the press booths who know the game and know the players and who dont show bias. Look at the NFL they have personalities that the viewers like and respect. Who does the NHL have Don Douchebag Cherry? Bill Clement? Mike Emerick? Sorry! Get a Mark Messier or a Steve Yzerman or a Mario Lemioux. Some one sinonimous with the game to cover the sport on a National level. And tell Bettman to take a hike. He's ruining the game.

He was largely ineffective other than Game 3. He got shut down. And its not his playing ability that bothers every one its the bias through out the league. When the Refs wont even call the game fairly that turns off fans. I work with people who say they wont watch because they dont understand how this is hooking and that isn't etc. What are we supposed to tell people like that? "Oh its because its Crosby there are different rules for HIM"? Not to mention that no one likes a cry baby and thats what he is.

We're not saying don't give him his due. We're saying we don't like the bias commentating. Maybe they should Hire Messier full time he calls it like it is.

How is Brad Stuart a Depth guy? Did I misunderstand this? He was Awesome I'd love to see him stay I hope they resign him. I bet Drake retires on top. I'd sut assume replace Mac with Downey I'm glad he got his life back he didn't impress me sorry Mac Hasek can go anytime Chelly can stay as long as he can contribute. And Lilja is a reliable liability.

NBC Hockey coverage sucks in general. Personally I hate the comentators talking about the obvious things or just plain stupid stuff that no one cares about. And yes that angle does suck

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure this one out only to put Franzans mellon back together again. Roberts is a A$$wad and I hope McCarty plays next game just for such a situation. Or Maybe Chelly so the two Old Timers could go at it in the Biggest series of the season. Now that would be fun to watch!

He is an even more complete package with the added physicality of late. He no longer gets pushed around on the ice like he did a few years ago. I remember calling for his head along with Shannys cause he got pushed around and couldn't play in the Post season. Thanx for proving us wrong Pavel!

Roberts SHOULD get a call from the league for the sucker punch on Franzan. It wouldn't be such a big deal but every one knows hes just coming back from a concussion. That can only be defined as intent to injure. I do love the way the Wings can simply go out and play and turn the other team into a bunch of goons just by domination alone. Remember the Flames last year? We were calling them the SHAMES!

If we play as sucky as we did in Games 4 and 5 of the Dallas series you will win otherwise......Give up the idea.

Hypothetically speaking I'd rather have Dumont: More gritty less pretty. Smaller price to pay in CAP and Trade Fodder. This IS a pointless discussion thought as GMR pointed out. I think the Wings are fine the way they are as Long as Ozzy gets the nod in the playoffs that is.

Im sure the insurgence of the Tigers and that fact that The Lions actually played at times is cutting into the Fan Bankroll in Detroit. I agree with GMR lowering Ticket prices would improve attendance more than anything.

As of this posting TSN.ca has a poll on this topic resulting in a 71% NO on the HOF question. Aside from his stats that are good but not great as far as HOFers go. He never lead his team to a championship. How many times have you heard a player say that anything less than winning the Stanley Cup is a failure? Personally I think he marred his own carreer by being a spoiled brat.

Kuznetsov is on my list...... Probably Lidstrom or Hank but I want to see if he gets a big 6 or 7 year deal first once he's locked in for the bulk of his career I want a Hank jersey.

I've been saying this for years! If the goalie leaves the crease he should be fair game. That would make them think twice about it. they'ed get dumped and scored on; or injured; then their coaches would really come down on them for doing it unless they were undoubtedly in the clear. This is the best idea! It would be fun to watch too.
