As a RFA The wings would receive compensation from any team that "steals" him from us in contract negotiations (in the form of draft picks strong prospects and I think even in CASH) making RFAs more expensive than they appear on the surface. This makes it unlikely that anyone else will touch him for 4 years.

There wasn't much doubt there. He IS the King s*** acquisition this off season. I'm surprised that this sort of thing wasn't negotiated in the CBA during the lock out. Speaking of D-men, what ever became of Dandenault? Last I knew he went The Habs and I haven't heard s*** about him since.

He's waiting for some one to get desperate when they realize their D sucks in training camp and then they'll pay him what he wants. Thats what I think.

1) None of these guys are over 35. Hollands favorite demographic range. 2) Holland does not sign very many RFAs only UFAs. 3) As has been said he won't up any of the big money these guys want until Zetterberg has been locked up. Count on deadline acquisitions to fill in the holes. That is Hollands M.O. is it not?

Marc Crawford is offensive! He's a disgrace to the league. All he does is build up a squad of goons and use them to hurt and injure opposing players he can't beat otherwise.

I thought ESPN dumped the NHL Not the other way around according to the article. ESPNs hockey coverage slucked anyway. They played favorites and Dissed the teams they didn't like. Then "The World Wide Leader in Sports" -(their words not mine)- Replaced hockey with Poker tournaments and eating contests.......EATING CONTESTS! These are not sports! ESPN Blows and I have boycotted it for years. I haven't watched ESPN in at least 5 years.

When ever he leaves it will be a tough job to replace him. Think about it who else is out there that compares to him?

Rafalski is great and he'll be a strong addition to our defense but he is still smaller than alot of D-men in the league and will get pushed around by a DUCKS team that sucked when Murphy played. To say that he'll help us win two cups like Murphy did is a bit premature.

If the Preds do move how does this affect the alignment of the divisions? Would that put Toronto back in the Central Division where they belong? If so pack the preds up and send them packing.

Im not upset with you, you've been cool about it. Certain people on this board belong on the ESPN Boards though. AGAIN Mr. High and Mighty needs to be a little more selective about the threads he chooses to read. He knew what it was about yet he read it anyway, and he calls me dumb?

I've been saying that about the "Non-geographic" conferences going back to Whales and Campbell ever since they changed it in the first place. I don't care where the teams are located as long as there is a following for them. And YES there are too many teams.

Its done. And in the future I expect respect or I tend to fight fire with fire. I don't feel guilty for defending myself. And I DID go back about three pages and found nothing on this topic. I'm not gonna spend all day looking for a thread before I post it myself. If you don't want to read the thread than don't.
